"Okay, don’t worry. I’ll send it to you tonight," the owner said with a smile.
"Okay, thank you," Owen said, nodding at the owner.
After buying the perfume lemon, the two of them continued walking. When they left the flower shop, Anita looked at Owen and whispered, "Why did you just buy lemons? Do you like it?"
Owen nodded at Anita’s words. "Don’t you think its little flowers are really cute? Little white flowers dot the tall leaves. It makes you feel alive."
These words were impossible to refute. Buying perfume lemon wasn’t a big deal, and Anita was just asking casually, but after hearing Owen’s serious words, she quickly nodded and stopped asking.
After visiting a few more flower shops, Anita finally bought another bouquet of hydrangeas and two vases to match the bouquet they had bought today.
This embroidered ball looked more gorgeous than the one they had seen when they just entered the flower market, and the leaves looked fresher.
After she paid for it, Anita looked at Owen and said, "How is it? I’ve bought this shop’s hydrangeas a few times. Their variety is really good."
Her smug look made Owen reach out and touch Anita’s head. "You’re really good at picking things to buy. You’re really our homemaker."
Anita listened to Owen and smiled. "Let’s go. We’re done shopping. We can go back. We got quite a harvest today."
Owen put the two vases in the trunk first and took the champagne roses and hydrangeas from Anita’s arms to put them in too.
After the two of them put their things in the car, Owen looked at Anita and said, "Then let’s go home."
"Wait a minute. I remember there’s a delicious little restaurant nearby. I’ll take you there to taste the food," Anita said to Owen. "How do you know so many places?" Owen said with a smile while looking at Anita.
"I used to come here a lot, so I’m familiar with it," Anita said sheepishly as she listened to Owen.
"Well, is it far? Should we park here and walk over, or should we drive?" Owen said to Anita.
"It’s not too far. Let’s leave the car here and walk over," Anita said again after opening the map on her phone to look at the distance.
"Then let’s go," Owen said as he turned off the engine, took the key, and got out to see if it was far. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
"Come on, let’s go forward. It’s not far. Turn right after that traffic light." Anita got out of the car and walked forward.
"What’s wrong? Let’s go." She took a few steps and realized Owen wasn’t following, so she turned back and said doubtfully.
"Didn’t you forget something?" Owen said as he took a few steps to Anita’s side. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
"Forget what? I didn’t forget anything," Anita said dubiously as she listened to Owen and quickly touched her bag. Her lipstick and purse were all there.
"You forgot to hold my hand," Owen said to Anita.
Anita blushed at Owen’s words. She didn’t expect Owen to be so good at saying sweet nothings now. "Okay, can we go now?" She calmed down and reached out to hold Owen’s hand.
"We can go." Owen glanced at their clasped hands, smiled in satisfaction, and nodded before walking forward.
The two of them walked for eleven to twelve minutes before they reached the door of the diner. "We’re here," Anita said happily.
Owen listened to the distant conversation and looked up. The diner wasn’t very famous, and it didn’t look like the shop was very big. This wasn’t mealtime, so there weren’t many people.
Owen doubted Anita’s recommendation, but she was already standing here. He had to follow her in.
"I want a roasted whole chicken and two servings of buttered bread, and a vanilla ice cream," Anita said as soon as she entered the shop.
"We’re eating a whole chicken today?" Owen said to Anita.
In his heart, he thought that roasted chicken was usually what everyone gathered to eat during their break. Not only was there roasted chicken, but there might also be some steak and roast meat.
But he didn’t expect Anita to bring him here to eat this after walking ten minutes. Actually, Owen didn’t really like these things, so he asked doubtfully.
"Yes, it’s roasted whole chicken and butter bread. Try it. This diner is really delicious," Anita said to Owen seriously.
"Okay," Owen said with a smile, not wanting Anita to be unhappy.
The butter bread was served before the whole chicken. "Try this first. The bread is accompanied by onion butter." The owner placed the butter bread on the table and smiled at the two of them.
