Chapter 152: Breakfast

Editor: Henyee Translations

"Anita, you’re up," Owen said with a smile as he stood at the kitchen door in his casual home attire.

She thought Owen had gone to work and wasn’t at home, but she didn’t expect to see him in the kitchen. "You didn’t go to work?" Anita said in surprise as she looked at Owen.

"We haven’t seen each other in days. Don’t you want me to stay home with you?" Owen said to Anita.

Hearing Owen’s words, Anita nodded and said sheepishly, "Of course I want you to stay home with me, but won’t Bruce criticize you?"

When Anita said this, she felt that Owen’s assistant, Bruce, was like a personal nanny/butler who had to worry about Owen almost all the time, so she subconsciously asked.

"What? Do I have to report to Bruce when I rest? You forgot that I’m the CEO," Owen said with a smile as he listened to Anita.

Anita smiled and nodded when she heard Owen’s slightly cocky words, but said nothing.

"Come, I’ve made breakfast. How about an avocado omelet sandwich with warm milk?" Owen said with a smile while looking at Anita.

Upon hearing Owen’s words, Anita took two steps forward and looked at the two breakfast servings on the dining room table.

It looked very appetizing. He even laid it out on the plate exquisitely. There were a few small tomatoes and a few mint leaves beside the sandwich. They were red and green. He put in quite some effort.

Anita couldn’t help but smile when she saw it. She gave Owen a thumbs up. "You made it so beautiful that I can’t bear to eat it." fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

Owen smiled sheepishly at Anita and said, "How about you try it? I’ll make this again next time if it’s delicious."

Anita had been exercising vigorously all night, and she was already starving, so she picked up the sandwich on the table to eat.

"How is it? Doesn’t it taste delicious?" Owen asked Anita expectantly. Actually, he knew how it tasted. He just wanted to hear some different answers from Anita.

In the process of making it just now, Owen had already eaten a few failed products. Either the toast was charred or the omelet was too thoroughly cooked. The last two looked and tasted good.

"Yes, it’s delicious. Try it too." She almost choked on a mouthful of food. Anita took a sip of milk and swallowed the food in her mouth before looking up at Owen again and smiling.

After Owen heard Anita’s praise, he quickly sat down and picked up the sandwich to eat with a satisfied expression.

"By the way, when are you going to school?" Owen asked Anita as he picked up the milk in front of him and took a sip.

"Probably in the next two days. We’ll talk about the details after I meet with my mentor. I haven’t reported to him yet," Anita said while looking at Owen and thinking about it.

"Mom called me a few times and said I forgot about them as soon as I got married, and hadn’t even taken you home for dinner," Owen said with a smile as he looked up at Anita again.

Anita couldn’t help but laugh when she heard Owen’s words. "Really? Then what did you tell Mom and the others?"

"I’m not telling you. Guess what I said," Owen said with a smile while looking at Anita.

"How can I guess? I can’t guess. Tell me," Anita said coquettishly as she put down the milk in her hand and looked at Owen.

"You want to know? Then..." Owen only said half the sentence, then raised his hand and pressed his finger to his mouth as he looked at Anita. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

The hint was so obvious that Anita understood immediately. In fact, she didn’t really want to know Owen’s answer, but he looked like he wanted her to cooperate.

So she stood up and walked over to Owen to kiss his upturned face gently. "Okay, can you tell me now?" she said with a smile.

"I just told them that Anita went overseas and I don’t know when she’ll be back. Maybe she doesn’t want me anymore," Owen said softly.

Hearing this, Anita laughed. He looked like a child who had been wronged and was complaining, so she looked up at Owen. "What are you talking about? Did Mom scold you?"

"She did. She said I was useless and had to learn from Dad. My wife had already gone overseas, but I still wasn’t chasing after you," Owen said to Anita.

"That’s right. Why didn’t you look for me overseas?" Anita looked at Owen and continued.

"I wanted to look for you, but you didn’t even tell me about the flight when you left. I thought you definitely didn’t want to see me again, and I didn’t know where you lived." Owen said to Anita seriously.
