"Anita, let’s get one too. I think I’m already full," Ethan said decisively when he saw Anita hesitate. He was afraid that she would buy another two.
Anita thought about Ethan’s words for a moment and chose the mushroom-baked rice she thought looked better.
After paying, Ethan walked out.
When he came out with the food, Anita tasted it first, then looked at Ethan and said, "It’s really delicious. Try it."
Ethan waved his hand. "I’m really full. Let me rest for a while."
"Okay, I’ll eat it myself." Seeing that Ethan wasn’t eating, Anita didn’t force him. She held the mushroom-baked rice and Ethan continued walking forward. freewebnoveℓ.com
The end of the Borough Market was finally visible. Ethan couldn’t help but sigh softly. They were finally done.
He was really afraid that Anita would drag him to buy something again. But before he could completely relax, Anita’s eyes lit up again.
That was because another shop was queuing up at the corner of the road. There were more people than the previous two shops had.
There was a big sign on it that said seafood rolls.
After Anita read it, she turned around and glanced at Ethan with anticipation.
Ethan couldn’t help but rub his forehead and drag Anita forward helplessly.
"Anita, this is really the last one," When queuing, Ethan said to Anita.
"Yes, yes. This is definitely the last one." Anita looked at Ethan and nodded frantically.
But Ethan looked at Anita, whose eyes were clearly still very bright, and thought, "I hope that this is really the last shop."
For the seafood roll, you could choose fish or prawns. There was a layer of flatbread outside. It would be wrapped up with ketchup or black pepper sauce.
Anita didn’t buy two. She chose to have fish and shrimp filling.
After buying it, she and Ethan walked out of the crowd.
"How is it? Did you enjoy yourself today?" Ethan asked with a smile while holding the spoils that belonged to Anita. Anita asked Ethan with a smile, "I’m happy, I’m very happy. Are you happy, Ethan?"
"I’m happy too. It’s getting late. Let’s go back," Ethan said to Anita, who was smiling. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
"Okay, let’s go." Anita nodded. She and Ethan walked down the path from the market to the hotel.
Neither of them said anything else the rest of the way. It had been a long time since they had walked together in such silence. Anita looked at the round moon in the sky and exhaled comfortably.
But Ethan, who was beside her, wasn’t in such a good mood.
It was completely unexpected for him to suddenly see Anita today and the two of them came out to shop and eat together.
A while ago, when he found out that Anita was going to marry someone else, he had told himself to let it go and stop being so persistent.
During this period of time, he hadn’t seen or contacted Anita. He had already begun to slowly try to forget how much he liked her.
But the moment he saw Anita today, the feelings in his heart suddenly returned. He began to realize that he had never let go of his feelings for Anita at all, and that he had just hidden her in a corner of his heart.
Today, when he saw her standing in front of him and laughing happily, he felt that the feelings hidden in his heart had returned.
But so what? Anita was already married to someone else, and he wouldn’t have a chance to be with her again. So he was happy but sad at the same time.
The two of them slowly walked to the hotel entrance. Ethan sent Anita back to her room first.
"Do you want to come in and sit for a while? I brought the drink you used to like." Anita opened the door and looked at Ethan, who was still standing outside, and asked with a smile.
Ethan smiled and shook his head. He handed Anita’s things to her and said, "I won’t go in. I’m too tired today. You should sleep early too."
Anita took the things and glanced at Ethan. As expected, he looked exhausted. "Fine," she said. "I’ll save it for you. You can have it tomorrow."
Ethan nodded at Anita and headed for his room.
When Anita’s door was closed and he was sure that no one would appear again, the figure hidden in the corner appeared.
He first stared at Anita’s door, then at the camera in his hand, then turned and walked towards the stairwell.
Ethan returned to his room and laid on the bed without washing up.
He felt really conflicted. He didn’t know how to face Anita, and this experiment exchange would end in six days.
He was really afraid that he wouldn’t be able to control his emotions in the next few days and let Anita sense something. When that happened, maybe they wouldn’t even be friends anymore.
