"I could have done that for you when I came back," Ian said, watching as Scarlet poured something into the water.
"I didn’t know how soon you would be back. Did you find the person already?" Scarlet asked, looking away from the water to Ian.
"I did not. Your guard Dawson said he would take care of it so I should return to your side. The fire is out and it was only the smoke that you saw. Let me," Ian said, wanting to run the bath for her so she could get in. "I will go after you."
"It isn’t for me. It is for you," Scarlet replied.
His bath time was disturbed so she thought to prepare it for him in his absence.
"My estate being on fire has ruined my mood and I don’t think you can put me back. You don’t have to sleep with me all night as if I will disappear tomorrow. Wash up first so we can eat and then go to bed," Scarlet said, standing up as she was done with her part.
Ian held her hand so she wouldn’t leave him. Since she was here and she also needed to clean up, Scarlet should join him. "Join me," Ian said. "Why waste water when we can sit together."
"I didn’t know you were so dutiful with wanting to save water. You just want me to get inside so you can touch me," Scarlet said, seeing right through him. She contemplated it for a moment.
The warm water sounded good right now since she had been worrying about the fire outside and needed to calm her mind.
Scarlet turned the pipe to stop the warm water and stepped inside the tub. The water was a little more hot than warm but she preferred it this way. It strangely helped her to relax.
Scarlet looked up at Ian who was more interested in ogling at her than joining her like he asked. "Does it surprise you when I go along with what you ask of me? I am hardly shy, Ian. I’ve been with a man before to be comfortable doing this."
Scarlet knew what she wanted and to not miss out or later regret, she would go after what she liked.
"At times, I wish to be the one leading when it comes to intimacy so I hope you will not be bothered by it in the future," said Scarlet.
Ian made his way to the tub to join her. He wanted to question why it was so big unlike any other he had seen, but why question it when he was getting to join her? "By all means, lead me."
"Hmm. What is it with you men saying that then making it all about you later?" Scarlet wondered. Shouldn’t it be exciting for her partner that she enjoyed intimacy and wanted to try some things of her own?

"I know that but still. Why are your hands roaming my body? What happened to not touching me?" Scarlet asked, looking over her shoulder at Ian. She couldn’t see clearly but Scarlet had a feeling that he was smiling behind her.
"That was my earlier offer when our relationship had not gone this far. Now that I had you, you cannot expect me to keep my hands off of you so soon," Ian said, moving her hair to be over her shoulder so her neck would be exposed to him. "I am only helping to clean you."
"I can hear you trying not to laugh, Ian. You cannot fool me," Scarlet said, but still, she leaned back on his chest.
The room was quiet and she enjoyed how peaceful her life seemed at the moment. Scarlet tried not to look out the bathroom window to see the smoke as she didn’t want to think about that now when her focus should be on Ian.
"We could have the picnic that you spoke of tomorrow. As long as there is not a lot of damage caused by the fire. I must warn you that a relative of mine will be coming to stay here whilst he deals with business in the palace. He is," Scarlet paused to try to think of the best way to describe him. "Protective but he won’t bother you."
"And who is this relative?" Ian asked.
"He leads the Callahan knights and is the leader of the border. No need for you to be afraid. He is quite calm," Scarlet replied. "I played with him and many others in my youth."
"Then, I will try to make a good first impression. Now, go back to just thinking of me. I am only washing you," Ian said as Scarlet looked at him once more because of where his hands were now.
"I have not given my breasts as much attention as you have and they have been with me for years. Ow," Scarlet whined, startled by Ian pinching her. "I do have feelings there."
Scarlet turned around to face Ian. He was grinning ear to ear because he had gotten what he wanted. "What on earth have I started with you? An obsessed man?"
"A man who loves holding you. Do not be afraid," Ian said because of the mention of the word love. "Does it scare you to hear me say it or are you expecting something else?"
"I don’t know. It just catches me by surprise when it is mentioned. I don’t need to hear you say it purely because you think it fits the moment. I shall only say it when I feel it so I want the same from you. No lying to please each other," Scarlet requested.
She didn’t mind when he mentioned the word when speaking of other things, but she wanted him to only use it when speaking of her if he meant it. freёwebnovel.com
Ian hugged Scarlet. "Can I tell you what I feel for you now?"
"Is it romantic or are you trying to flirt with me to get me on top of you?" Scarlet asked, curious about what he was up to now.
"It is both in my opinion," Ian replied.
"Then save it. I think it will just lead to you in me again and I don’t like your tricks working. We must be quick before the food turns cold. I don’t want to trouble the cooks again when they must have already started cleaning up to go to bed. Wake me after a few minutes," Scarlet said, closing her eyes as she became too comfortable resting on Ian.
"How cruel of you," Ian said, placing his hands along the side of the tub. He sighed and tilted his head back as he thought of how smitten he was with the woman before him.
