Chapter 270: Chapter 269 - Chaos(Part 11)

Point-of-View: Anarchy/Liling Jin

———————————————————————————

"Come on, I killed Satan, did you really think that a bunch of background Demons like you stood any chance against me?" I sighed in exasperation, as I wiped them out with a Chaos Blast.

Arghhhh, this sucks! No one even remotely powerful has shown up since Belial...maybe I should’ve toyed with him more. Damn it, where are the other Demons of Sin?

And the Outliers, for that matter? Seriously, what gives? Should I just go out and look for them? No, I’ll totally regret it if someone powerful shows up here after I leave...but it’s starting to look pretty damn unlikely.

"Hey, can I fight the next Demons that show up? It’s super boring just watching you and doing nothing," Sighed Afro wearily.

They all came back after I defeated Belial, and I couldn’t think of anything specific to give them to do, so they’re staying here. It’s kind of a waste to just keep them here though...

"Alright, here’s the plan. Glenn, portal everyone except me to all of our hideouts where our other members are waiting. And give them all this one command...’do whatever the fuck you want to’. Fight Demons, or just kill a bunch of humans, whatever, I don’t care. That goes for all of you too...you can all do whatever you want, I’m wait here in the meantime," I replied with a bored sigh.

"Sounds good to me. Then once I’m finished portaling everyone, I’m just going to lay low somewhere, I’m done with all this," He responded dryly.

"Yeah, fine, whatever. At my current maximum speed, I don’t really need portals, and I don’t plan on leaving this spot anytime soon either," I shrugged indifferently.

"Okay...then this is goodbye. Good luck, Anarchy, I hope you find the entertainment you’re looking for," He replied, walking away.

"Later, boss," Waved Afro, before following after Glenn.

"Can’t say it hasn’t been fun, you maniac...I think I just might miss you," Smirked Wrest as he patted my shoulder.

"If nothing else, I preferred you as a leader to the Eden higher ups," Added Arisu dryly.

"For a myriad of reasons, I doubt I will ever forget you...the time I spent with you was, er...memorable," Remarked Dracula...cool, I’ll take that, it’s quite the compliment.

"Bye, maybe we’ll meet again," Smiled Camelia, as she went with Dracula.

"Later," Lance gave me a curt nod.

"I did not really get to do much after joining you, but I suppose that unpredictability and inconsistency is your consistency," Chuckled Saint Germaine.

"Aw, you guys are gonna make me cry. Thanks for everything, I suppose...yeah, I had fun," I responded with a grin, as I watched them leave through the portal, until only Glenn was left, "Couldn’t have done it without you by my side...I think I’ll miss you the most."

"Yeah, I hate to admit it...but I guess I’ll miss you too," He responded with a wry smile, before entering his portal, which closed as he disappeared through it.

Well...guess it’s just me now. It’s the right decision for me, I was getting bored of being a leader anyway. And giving all the members of Chaos free reign in this situation is definitely the most chaotic way to go about this, no question there.

I never intended Chaos to last forever, I always planned on disbanding the organization once we reached the peak of chaos. And this war is that peak, I can’t think of anything that’ll be good enough to top it. frёeωebɳovel.com

So, once this war is over, regardless of the outcome, I think I’m done, at least for the foreseeable future, assuming I survive, of course. Still, though, I have to admit...a small part of me feels kinda...lonely...

"You again...was one defeat not enough for you, Witch?" Inquired the Demon icily.

"Oh, things are gonna go quite a bit differently this time...I’ll admit, you were formidable as a duo with your friend, but you’re on your own now. And I’m stronger than you are if you’re alone, Demon," I smirked in response, before sending out several energy chains shooting towards her.

She swiftly flew out of the way, before extending out those six massive tentacles she’d brought out during our previous battle.

I easily restrained the tentacles with my chains and violently stretched them out, holding her in place before firing out a barrage of sharp, rapid Mana blasts, hitting her repeatedly and eliciting gasps of pain as she coughed out blood.

She quickly dissipated her tentacles and narrowly avoided another incoming blast, before she shot towards me and pulled out the two guns on her belt, firing out rapid projectiles at me while charging up black lightning in her mouth.

I zipped away to evade the bullets, grimacing as she fired out the black lightning in a blast of wide, branching streaks, one hitting my shoulder and electrocuting me.

I quickly healed myself as she rapidly flew towards me while continuing to fire her guns, before I formed a barrier to protect myself. She immediately responded by forming her tentacles again and wrapping them around my barrier, applying more and more pressure.

As cracks began to appear in my barrier, I teleported away right as she crushed it, reappearing behind her and hitting her back with a fireball, burning her wings and causing her to plummet as she let out a startled hiss of pain. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

I swooped down after her, firing out powerful blasts of lightning from both hands as her burnt wings began to regenerate, as she quickly formed a thick wall of water above herself defensively in alarm.

It slowed down my lightning, but didn’t stop it, my blasts bursting through the mass of water and shooting down towards her. But she’d bought herself enough time to finish healing her wings and then zipped away, just barely avoiding my attacks.

She then spun across in midair and unleashed a barrage of water slashes coated in lightning up at me, which I quickly flew away to avoid. She unleashed a thick, dense black mist that rapidly spread out around her, before I began repeatedly teleporting to avoid getting hit, with less time to react since I couldn’t see her attacks coming until they emerged from the black cloud she’d formed around herself.

Hm...alright, I’ll try something new. I’m still new at this Spell, and haven’t had a lot of practice with it, but I should be able to pull it off. It’ll take some time though, and I’ll have to keep evading while I make the preparations to activate it.

I continuing teleporting around the cloud of smoke, firing out rock projectiles into it as I evaded the lightning and water attacks shooting out from the cloud.

I quickly swooped down as a tentacle came extending out towards me, before firing out another rock projectile into the cloud. Almost there, just a little bit more...suddenly, the Demon burst out of the cloud as I teleported and reappeared, her tentacles shooting towards me and wrapping around me before I could react.

"Your movements are predictable, Witch," She remarked, as she began to charge up a Negative Blast.

"Yeah, this isn’t great...but still, it’s my victory," I smirked, as her body suddenly froze.

"Wh-what...what have you done to me...!?" She growled through gritted teeth, as she struggled to try and move, but to no avail.

"It’s quite simple, really...all those rock projectiles I was firing at you, I connected thin, barely visible strings of Mana to them. It took a couple of tries, but as soon as one of the strings struck you, it embedded itself into your skin, and I could sense exactly where you were.

However, I couldn’t let you catch on to that, so I kept teleporting as if I was blind to your location. Can you feel it? I’ve taken control of your nervous system, you’re nothing more than a puppet to me now. Allow me to demonstrate," I smiled as her, as her tentacles released me and moved away.

"Im...impossible...!"

"No, very possible, as you’re experiencing. Now, then...," I remarked as I took out a light energy cannister, "I’ve got three of these on me. Let’s see if you can survive all three, shall we? I’m gonna put these in your mouth, one by one and then have them explode...I’m quite curious to see how effective this will be. So, let’s begin. Open wide, here comes the airplane..."
