Chapter 259: Chapter 258 - Invasion(Part 24)
Point-of-View: Aurora Pretorius

I swung my arm across to bat away an incoming Negative Blast, deflecting it with the back of my hand coated with dark energy. It shot away and crashed onto the ground with a sharp impact, before Satan shot towards me, closing in rapidly. Suddenly, my body felt heavier, as he activated a field of increased gravity. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
Tch, this is the same power that Lucifer uses, how unpleasant. I narrowly evaded as he drove a dark energy infused punch at my head, his fist lightly grazing my cheek before I countered with a swift rising knee kick.
But with my movements slowed, he managed to blunt my kick with his palms, before he opened his mouth, forming a sphere of energy that sent chills down my spine, my instincts screaming at me to get away.
I sprang back while extending several shadowy streaks at him, which he quickly flew up to evade, zipping through the air to continue avoiding my attacks, before he fired the charged up energy sphere in his mouth at me, in the form of a rapid, compressed beam.
I sprang away to dodge it, my eyes widening in alarm as it struck the spot where I’d been standing...and disintegrated everything it touched, as I just barely avoided getting caught up in the blast.
"You are the first human to survive my Destruction Ray, only because you are the first one I’ve ever had to use it against. I cannot believe I had to resort to that against a human...let that be of some consolation when you die!" He snapped, before firing out a barrage of those blasts down at me.
I raced away to evade them, making sure to stay out of the line of his palms...he possesses every single Unique Technique of every Demon that exists, and there’s no way I can possibly account for all of them.
So instead, I’ll just focus on looking out for the ones I’m aware of...in this case, Lucifer’s telekinesis. I was grabbing chunks of rubble with my shadowy streaks and flinging them up at him, but his blasts were wiping them out before I could land a hit.
There’s no point in using a Dark Skill projectile attack, it won’t have any effect on him. Even the physical damage I can inflict with my Negative Blasts would be minimal at best, what should I-...?
Suddenly, a massive, devastating blast of lightning exploded down from the sky, Satan flying away in alarm and narrowly avoiding being struck by it, before teleporting away as a huge mass of flames came shooting up towards him.
"Tch, I thought I told all of you to stay out of my way," I clicked my tongue as the Deities appeared and shot towards Satan.
"Now, now, we’re all on the same side here," Remarked a female Dragon with white scales, "I am the Light Dragon Deity, Lux. Based on your appearance, you must be Aurora...I’ve heard quite a bit about you from Inoka."
She then fired out a powerful blast of light energy up at Satan, whose eyes widened in alarm as he teleported away from it, right before the giant gorilla, I’m guessing the Rival Earth Deity, Titan, sprang up right where he reappeared, grabbing Satan by the ankle and flinging him to the ground with immense force.
It took less than a split second for Satan to slam onto the ground with a devastating impact, chunks of concrete and rubble flying out everywhere as a massive dust cloud rose up from that spot.
"Okay, that wasn’t bad," I muttered, as I watched the dust cloud rise up.
"This is the first time we’ve been able to fight him while he is by himself, without any of his Demons of Sin or the Fiends to help him. You are far from the only one with a grudge against him...we must crush him here and now.
And the best way to minimize his chances of survival...is by attacking him as a group and providing him with no respite whatsoever," Remarked Lux, before flying over towards the dust cloud, as the other Deities did the same.
Yeah, I suppose she’s not wrong about that. And if I fight him on my own and end up failing to kill him, I’ll have no one to blame but myself. I then glanced up as a crash echoed out from the dust cloud, a figure shooting up into the sky and hovering there as it flew up past the dust cloud.
It was Satan, an enraged look on his face as he unleashed his Aura, an immense pressure blanketing the entire area. Suddenly, he unleashed a massive barrage of endless Negative Blasts all around him, shooting outwards towards all the Deities and me.
I formed several shadowy streaks and whipped them around in front of me, batting away the incoming projectiles, while the Deities flew or raced across to evade the ones shooting towards them, almost all of them sustaining multiple hits.
Lux then countered with a barrage of light energy blasts, before Satan suddenly teleported right in front of her and fired out that Destruction Ray attack he’d used before, blasting a hole through the middle of her body.
She let out a pained gasp and coughed out blood as she began to plummet, though I could see her injury rapidly closing up already, as she healed herself immediately.
Vapora then flew up behind him and fired out a massive water blast at him, which he blocked by formed a telekinetic sphere around himself, right as the Electro Deities shot down towards him, having flew up to the clouds and swooped down, their bodies coated with intense lightning.
They struck the telekinetic sphere, their rapid descent briefly halting upon impact...before they broke through and began to strike Satan, who teleported away before they could inflict any serious damage, reappearing several meters away, covered in severe electric burns.
He’s healing his injuries instantly, but he’s still feeling the pain...and the more than he fights back and heals himself, the more his Aura will get used up. And that’s when he’ll be truly vulnerable.
There’s still a very long way to go before his Aura is whittled down to nothing, but we have no choice but to just keep at it!
As Geod fired a massive boulder up at him, the Rival Aqua Deity, a massive whale-looking creature floating in a large mass of water, blasted out a pressurized, powerful stream of water at him. ƒrēewebnovel.com
Satan didn’t move, before suddenly flying away with panic in his eyes, managing to evade the boulder, but the blast of water took off a chunk of his back, blood gushing out before the wound began healing.
"What’s the matter, Satan? Are you unable to teleport now?" Inquired the, I’m assuming, Space Dragon Deity, a Dragon with a large portal in the middle of his chest.
Satan was seething with rage, the intensity of his unleashed Aura spiking as a dark mist began to flow out of him. I’m starting to get a bad feeling about this, we need to finish him off quickly...

"Glenn, you seeing this!?" I exclaimed in excitement, as we watched Aurora and the Deities fighting Satan, slowly but surely gaining the upper hand against the Demon Lord.
"...yes, I am. I’m right next to you," He sighed in response, as Aurora shot towards Satan, grabbing him with a shadowy streak and pulling him in towards him.
She slammed her fist onto his face and sent him flying back, before a loud snap echoed out as he abruptly stopped with immense whiplash from the shadowy streak wrapped around his waist, right before the Rival Earth Deity, Titan, sprang up above him, his fists balled together as he slammed them onto Satan’s body, sending him shooting down towards the ground and crashing again.
Ooh, that’s gonna leave a mark.
"Yeah, whatever...anyway, listen, I think I’ve got it, how to pay that bastard back for treating us like a footnote! Take me to our hidden base in Libya, there’s someone I’m gonna need for this," I smirked eagerly.
"Uh...I’m not sure I should. All signs are pointing to you getting yourself killed if you enter the fray here," He frowned apprehensively.
"Well, the unpredictability of how it’ll go is what makes it chaotic, don’t you think?" I pointed out objectively.
"Maybe so, but if you get killed after everything you’ve done, won’t that be more anticlimactic than chaotic? And if you ask me, there’s nothing chaotic about an anticlimax, it’s just disappointing," He countered dryly.
Hm...okay, that’s a pretty decent argument, actually. What should I do? Hah, naaah, just kidding, I don’t care about that!
"I’ve already made up my mind, and there’s gonna be no talking me out of it! Plus, I have a plan. So...let’s go!"
