"I’m gonna kill the both of you," I remarked in a cold fury, as they pushed the doors open in alarm and sprang out of the car.
I swiftly leapt up and extended out shadowy streaks towards them, aiming to grab them. The guy managed to narrowly evade getting snared, but the girl was too slow to react, as my streak wrapped around her torso.
"Damn it, let me go!" She exclaimed, as flames burst out from her.
"If you say so," I responded icily, as I swung her across the air at a breakneck speed and flung her right at the guy with immense force.
A cracking sound echoed out as the top of her head slammed onto his chest with a loud thud, as they both collapsed in a heap, the guy wincing in pain.
Was that the sound of her skull cracking or his ribs cracking? Or maybe both? Doesn’t matter, I’m just getting started here.
"Hey, make sure everyone around keeps their distance!" I called out to Leonardo, before I shot towards the two of them.
The guy quickly got up onto his feet as I closed in on them, pushing the girl out of the way as he began to form a Negative Blast and take aim at me.
I swiftly coated my hand with dark energy as I closed in on him and swung my arm across, smacking his blast away, which flew away and hit a lamppost, denting it as I drove my fist towards his face.
He quickly tilted his head out of the way in alarm, my fist just barely missing his face, as the force of my punch left a cut on his right cheek. A dark Mist formed around his hand as he began to try and grab the top of my head, before I swiftly drove my knee up and slammed it onto his midsection before his hand could reach me.
He let out a strained wheeze of pain as blood burst out of his mouth and the mist around his hand dissipated, before he got sent flying back several meters and skidding along the ground, slamming onto the front of a parked car and shattering the glass upon impact.
As the girl began to get up, I shot towards her and swung a kick at her left side, my leg slamming into her left arm with a loud crunch, as she let out an excruciating scream of pain and stumbled back with a look of sheer agony, clutching her mangled arm as she let out an enraged roar and burst out an immense amount of intense flames at me.
I formed a shadowy shield in front of myself to block the flames, making the edges of the shield curved and dispersing her attack.
As her attack faded, I shot towards her as she coated flames around her fist. I ducked as she swung her right arm across at my head as I closed in on her, before I drove my fist straight up and slammed it onto her chin.
I felt it crack upon impact, bits of her teeth breaking off as her lower front teeth then pierced into her upper lip, as she got send flying up and back rapidly, falling onto a fire hydrant and hitting the back of her head, a severely dazed look on her face as she struck it, just barely holding onto her consciousness.
"Heh...hehehe...damn, you’re strong. But let’s see how you deal with this!" Suddenly exclaimed the guy with a menacing smirk, as dark energy burst out from him like wispy smoke and spread out, shooting towards most of the people in the area as he shouted gleefully, "One of the most powerful Dark Skill techniques ever...Mind Control!" freewēbnoveℓ.com
Suddenly, several Elemental attacks came shooting in towards me, which I deflected straight up into the air as they closed in on me. The civilians are attacking me...and so many of them, I count at least fifty.
He stumbled back while clutching his head, blood pouring out of his nostrils as his eyes glossed over. Must be a side effect of using that technique.
"You bastard!" I snapped furiously, as I began to shoot towards him at top speed, before abruptly halting as some of the people he was controlling jumped in front of him.
Suddenly, streaks of sand burst out and wrapped around the people, pulling them out of the way. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
"We’ll hold them off, you keep doing what you’re doing!" Called out Leonardo, as he, Inoka and Fenris spread out.
"Hey, gather them up in one place, I’ll free them from the mind control!" Exclaimed Inoka, his hands glowing.
As a civilian woman leapt towards him from behind, he quickly spun around and slapped his palm onto her chest. She lost consciousness as he did, her body going limp as he set her down on the ground.
Fenris was zipping around and knocking out everyone he came across by sharply striking them around the back of their necks or the middle of their torsos, as Inoka made his way to the middle of the road, probably to give himself a chance to use Dispel and hit everyone with it in one go.
"Thanks, you guys, keep holding them off!" I responded, before rushing in towards the guy and leaping at him, now that he was out of human shields to protect himself with.
He began to try and spring away, but couldn’t get out of the way, as I grabbed his shoulders and slammed my feet onto his knees, knocking him down as I broke them with a loud crunch, his back hitting the street with a thud as he let out a sharp gasp of pain.
I then crushed his shoulders, eliciting a stifled hiss from him as his arms went limp, before I wrapped my hand around his neck and began squeezing, right as a bright light burst out.
"Huh? My Mind Control, i-impossible...," He gasped, partially in shock and partially because of my grip around his throat.
I then paused and let go, as he coughed and wheezed in agony.
"I was going to kill you, but maybe that’s too kind for a piece of shit like you. I won’t kill you...but by the time I’m done with you, you’ll be begging me to kill you, you won’t be able to live like a normal person ever again," I stated coldly, before driving my claws into his eyeballs and yanking them out with violent twists.
"M-my eyes!" He screeched in pain, as I crushed them in my hands.
I then extended out sharp, shadowy streaks into his ears, puncturing his eardrums and eliciting a hollow gasp of pain from him, before I slammed my fist onto his face and broke his nose.
"I’ll break you so thoroughly that you’ll be beyond repair, but not enough to kill you. Oh, and I won’t let you kill yourself either...let’s make sure you can’t bite off your tongue," I suggested, before repeatedly punching his mouth and cheeks, breaking off his teeth.
"St...s-stop...," He cried weakly, as I sliced open his cheeks to get the broken teeth out...it’d be a shame if he swallowed his teeth and choked to death.
I then stood up and kicked his side, flipping him onto his front, stomping on his ankles and breaking them with a loud crunch, before I pierced a shadowy streak into his lower spine, twisting and turning it around.
Hm? He’s not crying out anymore...he must have lost consciousness due to the pain. No matter...once he wakes up, he’ll find living to be an absolute nightmare, and there’ll be nothing he can do about it. His quality of life is gone for good.
"You’re not gonna kill him?" Inquired Leonardo, as he walked over with the other two.
"No, I think this is a lot more fitting. He’s just gonna have to live with the pain. Inoka, make sure he doesn’t die, but also make sure that he can never use his limbs or see or hear ever again," I remarked, as I looked around, "Hey, where’s the other one?"
"Crap, she must have slipped away while we were busy getting the civilians off the road," Frowned Fenris in response.
"It’s not a problem. I just have to track her down again using her scent and-...," I began, before trailing off as I felt the ground rumbling, "Huh? An earthquake?"
"Just great, at least it didn’t happen before we finished dealing with this," Sighed Leonardo wistfully.
"Well, it’s not going to stop me from going after-...," I started to reply, before my eyes widened as I noticed a manhole cover a few meters ahead begin to rise.
I quickly put up a shroud around the four of us, right as a deafening explosion burst out, the others falling down as the ground shook violently, cracks rapidly spreading out beneath us.
Screams were ringing all around the dome I was using to shield myself and the others...damn it, it happened so fast that I didn’t have any time to save anyone else!
Whatever caused this explosion, it’s several upon several times bigger than the explosion in the apartment!
"What...just happened...?" Groaned Inoka, as the rumbling finally began to fade and I dissipated the barrier.
Oh, no, this is bad...!
"All the manhole covers in sight have been blown away, and that foul stench...Astra must have run away while our attention was away from her and then blasted flames into the sewer through a manhole, triggering the explosion," Frowned Leonardo in response.
"Hey, Aurora, you okay!?" Exclaimed Fenris, as I collapsed onto my knees, covering my nose as best as I could.
Th-the odor is killing me, I feel like my head’s about to explode...!
"Here, I’ll restore your sense of smell back to normal," Remarked Inoka, as he touched my nose and the overwhelming smell began to fade.
I let out a strained gasp as I took a sharp breath, feeling dizzy...that was so intensely overwhelming, I couldn’t even think straight.
"Damn it...I can’t find her like this. But if you boost my sense of smell again, the odors from the sewer explosion will just overwhelm me again...," I grimaced in frustration.
"So, then she got away, huh? No point in lamenting it now...we’ll just have to find her again when we get the chance," Frowned Leonardo, as I slammed my fist onto the ground...we were so close, damn it!
