Chapter 188: Chapter 187 - Psychos(Part 2)

Point-of-View: Luna Castillo/Astra

"Well, now, you’re really getting into it, aren’t you? Look at you, enjoying yourself," Laughed Ash, as the man pounded his daughter.

"S-stop it, please, i-it hurts, dad!" Cried the girl, trying to push him off, before he grabbed her arms and pinned her hands down.

"Let go of me, you bitch!" Snapped his wife, trying to rush over and pull him off their daughter, before letting out a cry of pain as I grabbed the back of her collar, pulled her back and stabbed her hand.

"Now, now, stay put. It’s kinda uncool to interrupt their father-daughter time, now, isn’t it?" I whispered in a soothing tone as I wrapped my legs around her waist to keep her from getting away, as I slowly twisted the blade around, exiting sharp gasps of pain from her.

I gotta say, I think Ash is right...this guy’s enjoying this, in spite of himself. There’s nothing half-hearted about his thrusting at all...maybe he really has fantasized about this, after all. Heh, what a depraved guy. So glad we could give him the opportunity to be himself.

"Hey, this missionary crap is getting boring, try a different position!" Instructed Ash, though he certainly didn’t look bored.

Sure enough, the man didn’t hesitate in obeying, pulling out as he flipped his daughter around, grabbed her wrists and pulled her arms back as he reinserted himself from behind roughly.

Hm, on second thought, maybe we should leave this family alive, after all...just imagining the immense trauma and mental distress they’ll be carrying for the rest of their lives from this, it gives me chills.

I have to hand it to Ash, he’s opened a whole new world for me, I could really get used to this. Yeah, I think I might be in love here.

Hm? What’s that? The air near where the son is laying sprawled unconscious on the floor...it’s all shimmery and distorted. Oh, crap...

"Uh, Ash...I think we’ve got company," I remarked warily, as I formed a fire wall in front of the rift.

"Huh? Oh, shit...," He frowned, as a large, scaly foot stepped out of the rift and stepped onto the chest of the boy, crushing it flat as the rest of the Monster appeared out of the rift...as the wife let out a scream of horror, I swiftly slammed her head against the bedpost to knock her out.

"H-huh? What’s going on!?" Exclaimed the guy we were controlling, frozen in shock and disbelief as he stared at his son’s crushed body.

The ceiling above the Monster broke apart and caved in as it fully emerged, alarmed screams ringing out from the room above, as the tiles on the floor began to crack. It looks like a dinosaur, or a dragon without wings...

It suddenly let out a snarl and slashed at Ash, who sprang back to evade, the Monster’s claws deeply slicing through the daughter’s back before tearing the man in half, killing them both before they could even cry out in pain.

As the Monster began to stomp its way towards us, the floor then collapsed down, before it fell through with a snarl, crashing through the floors below as loud crashes and screams rang out below us.

"Damn it, I guess this party’s over now, isn’t it?" I sighed in disappointment.

The rift is still open...more Monsters could come pouring out any second. This sucks...we haven’t been affected by any of the Monster outbreaks that have been plaguing the world lately, talk about awful timing.

"That piece of shit...no one, NO ONE interrupts my fun like that...," Muttered Ash with a look of blank fury in his eyes, his fists trembling with rage, his expression sending chills down my spine.

"Think you can kill that Monster?" I asked him curiously.

"Let’s find out. You stand back...you’re not strong enough yet, you’ll only get in my way," He responded, as he jumped down through the hole in floor.

Ouch...but I can’t exactly say that he’s wrong about that. Uh-oh, I better go too, there’s another Monster coming out of the rift...it looks much smaller than the dinosaur-looking one, but I’m not taking any chances.

I quickly left the room and shut the door, heading for the elevator before pausing...hm, with Monsters showing up, it’s probably a bad idea to take the elevator.

I let out a sigh as I decided to take the stairs instead...this is the eight floor of this building, what a pain. Well, at least I’m going down and not up.

I have to wonder though, why exactly did that rift open then and there? The timing and location both seem too inconvenient to be a coincidence...oh, wait, I get it, it must have been drawn in by the negative energy.

If I remember right, when people feel emotions like immense distress, anguish, fear, rage and so on, negative energy gathers in the area, which can attract Monsters.

Incidentally, spiritual activities like prayer can also attract Monsters...in those cases, it’s a more positive energy that gathers, but it doesn’t matter to the Monsters, they can make do with any energy that comes from humans.

But one thing doesn’t add up...normally, it’s supposed to take a long time, at least a couple of years, of such energy gathering in a single spot. So, then, how could it have been drawn out in a matter of minutes here...?

I jumped down to the ground floor with a slight thud, the Viciousaur turning around and narrowing its eyes at me with a low growl, as I stared back at it icily.

I maxed out my Physical Skill enhancement techniques as I burst out a dense black mist, before firing out a powerful blast of black lightning in its direction, a roar of pain ringing out as my attack hit its mark.

As I noticed the mist shift slightly to my left, I swiftly went low and sprang back, right as the Monster’s tail whipped across rapidly, dissipating some of the black mist as it whizzed past the top of my head, before I formed a shallow pool of water across the floor.

The instant I heard a slight splash, meaning that the Monster had stepped onto the water, I swiftly burst out a sharp electric charge into the water, zapping the Monster and eliciting a strained roar of pain from it as an electric glow emanated through the dark mist.

I then swiftly froze the water I’d formed, a loud crash echoing out as the Viciousaur slipped and fell down, cracks spreading out across the tiles upon impact, before I rapidly formed a massive, drill-like Negative Blast and fired it out in the direction the crash came from, while simultaneously dissipating the mist.

It struck the Monster’s face and tore off a chunk of its snout, blood gushing out as it let out an agonized screech, letting out an enraged snarl as it got back up onto its feet and shot towards me with its jaws wide open, the ice on the floor shattering with the force of its steps.

Suddenly, a wave of flames burst out towards it from its left, eliciting a agitated snarl as the flames scorched its left side, an immense amount of it with incredible intensity.

I then zipped towards it as I charged up another massive Negative Blast and sprang up as I closed in on it, firing the blast straight into its mouth, before I formed more ice beneath its feet and knocked it off balance by zapping its feet with powerful streaks of lightning.

As it collapsed onto the floor with a loud thud, I swiftly inserted my hand and arm into its mouth and fired out a wave of Negative energy straight down its throat, its body seizing up in agony and writhing, its tail repeatedly slamming onto the floor, cracks spreading out farther and farther from the point of impact.

I then pulled my arm back out as it suddenly went limp and stopped moving, stepping back as a distortion appeared near its body and it got sucked into it, getting drawn back into the Mirror Dimension, along with all of its blood that had spilled out.

"That’s what you get for ruining my fun," I muttered coldly, as I walked away.

"Hey, wait up!" Called out Astra, as she jogged over and caught up with me.

"Thanks for the assist," I remarked, as we headed out the hotel through a back entrance, as sirens began ringing out outside.

"Too bad, huh? I was having so much fun back there," She sighed wistfully.

"Yeah...unfortunately, we’re gonna have to lay low for a while. It’s likely that Harmony will be called here soon," I responded, as we left the hotel, took off our masks and headed back to the apartment we were staying in.

"Oh, I think the woman was still alive, I just knocked her out when the Monster showed up. Should we go back and kill her?" She inquired with a frown.

"No, it’s too late for that...if Harmony is notified, they’ll be able to get here immediately thanks to their portal user. It’s too risky to go back into the hotel at this point," I replied, after mulling it over.

"So, now what? Do we lay low for a while?" She asked me with a look of disappointment.

"At least for a little while, yeah. But not for too long, as soon as things settle down, we’re gonna look for something grand to make up for this ruined night."
