"Hey, we should hurry, they could have already started, for all we know," I urged Neo impatiently, as he called one of the higher ups, pacing around anxiously.
"This won’t take long, just hold on a-...hello? This is Neo, we’ve got an emergency on our hands...!" He exclaimed, before quickly and concisely explaining the situation.
"Despite everything, he’s still kind of a stickler for the rules, though he has gotten a bit better in that regard lately," Remarked Mike, as Neo began pacing around even more while talking on the phone.
"We don’t have time for this, people could already be dying, for all we know," I sighed in frustration.
"There’s no ’could be’ about it, that’s exactly what’s happening right now," Spoken up Inoka with a grimace, staring at his phone.
"Woah, that looks pretty bad," Chimed in Zoraiz, peering over his shoulder.
"Alright...okay, then, we’ll head over there right away," Said Neo, before hanging up and opening a portal as he instructed, "Aurora, Mike, Kiyana, you’re all coming with me. The rest of you stay here, and keep your guards up in case an enemy decides to show up. Inoka, you especially, since you’re the strongest of those who’ll be staying back. Now, come on, let’s go quickly!"
Mike and Kiyana nodded before heading into the portal, as I followed after them, leaping through it, emerging by a tall, green tower, with a bulbous dark pink top.
Corpses were scattered across the area, despaired looks on their faces, as they lay in pools of their own blood and guts, with several more people inside the tower, which had sustained a bit of damage to its side.
I then spotted Lucifer, standing above-...wait, is that a Werewolf? What’s one doing here? No time to think, he’s about to kill him!
"Let’s split up!" I exclaimed, before zipping towards Lucifer as Neo nodded in response.
I rapidly shot towards them while forming my Shadow Cat, closing in on Lucifer as he took aim at the Werewolf...
"I do not know who you are, mutt, but for your impudence, you shall be reduced to ash-...," He remarked, before I cut him off by slamming my fist onto the side of his head and sending him rapidly flying back, slamming onto a railing, heavily denting it before he fell over the side and into the lake with a splash.
"Are you okay?" I asked the Werewolf, who was staring at me, wide-eyed, as I held out my hand to help him up.
"...ry me."
"Huh? What was that?" I responded, not quite catching what he said.
"Marry me!" He exclaimed, his eyes sparkling as he swiftly stood up and took hold of my hand, startling me.
Huh?
"Wh-what!? I-I, uh...," I stuttered as my mind went blank, before getting alert and shifting my gaze to the lake as Lucifer emerged from the water, a furious look on his face, "Step aside, I’ll get back to you after I’m done here."
"So cool...," He muttered, as I stepped forward and formed a Negative Blast, taking aim at Lucifer as he glared daggers at me.
"Sweet, looks like the guests have arrived, now this party can REALLY get started!" Came a familiar distorted voice from atop the tower, right as an explosion burst out from between a couple of buildings a few dozen meters away.
This is a disaster...but I need to focus on Lucifer, Neo and the others will have to handle the rest.
"We meet again, Outlier. This time, I shall not fail to kill you," Remarked Lucifer icily, as he formed a black fireball in his right hand.
"Funny...I was about to say the same thing," I responded dryly, as I fired the charged up Negative Blast at him...

Point-of-View: Neo Cronje

An explosion? The hell is going on? Damn it...
"Hey, I’ll take care of Anarchy and whoever else is atop the tower, you two go over to where that explosion came from," I instructed Mike and Kiyana, before opening a portal to the top of the tower and walking through it.
"Hey, there, nice to see you, Neo," Greeted Anarchy, standing there with a couple of other people.
A guy with slicked back black hair with a single blue dyed streak down it, the sides also dyed blue, an eyepatch over his right eye and a glossy oversized dark grey jacket.
And another one wearing a hoodie, his face hidden. Neither of them match the description of Chaos’s portal user. Too bad, taking out the portal user would’ve been a huge dent to Chaos.
"Hi, nice to meet you, let’s fight!" Grinned the guy with the eyepatch, as wind swirled around his hands.
"No," Suddenly spoke up the one with the hood, my blood running cold as I recognized his voice, "He’s all mine, I have to be the one who kills him."
"L-Lance...," I stuttered, my mind going blank as he pulled back his hood and met my gaze, a look of both hatred and pity in his eyes.
He had dark circles under his eyes and deep creases in his forehead, he looked like he’d aged badly...
"Hey, big brother, long time no see...here, let me put you out of your misery," He remarked coldly, as he formed a lightning bolt and fired it at me.
I snapped out of it and reacted just in time, dropping through a portal and emerging above him...I-I have to set aside my personal feelings, if he’s a member of Chaos, then I...
I gritted my teeth and formed a rapidly swirling fireball, as he narrowly reacted and just barely evaded my attack, leaping out of the way as my flames slammed onto the floor.
"Well, whatever, in that case, I’m gonna go play with the Eden peeps," Muttered the eyepatch guy, as he flew out of the tower.
Eden’s here too?
"Wha-...hey, why’d you have to spoil it, dude?" Groaned Anarchy, before leaping out of the tower, splashes echoing out as they, presumably, used water blasts to slow down their fall.
"You should pay attention, brother!" Snapped Lance, as his arm suddenly came rapidly extending towards me.
What!? That’s...the Physical Skill technique Elasticity, it lets the user stretch out their limbs, making even their bones and organs elastic, it’s one of the most difficult ones to master, getting it wrong can result in permanent and severe, potentially even fatal, internal damage.
I quickly opened a portal in front of me, but his arm swiftly changed course and dodged the portal, grabbing me by the neck and flinging me away as it whipped across, my back slamming onto a wall painfully, as I let out a sharp gasp of pain.
I then gritted my teeth and sprang out of the way as he fired a water blast at me, which hit the wall and splashed out across the area, before he unleashed several streaks of lightning at the now-wet floor.
I quickly jumped in alarm, opening a portal beneath me as the ground crackled viciously, but before I could fully slip through the portal, his arm came rapidly extending towards my again, grabbing my hair and yanking me out of the portal.
Before I could respond, he swung me up and slammed me onto the floor with a painful thud, a twinge of pain erupting across my right side as he fractured my ribcage.
He’s got four of the five elemental Skill types, the exception being the Terra Skill, and he’s also got the Physical Skill. On top of that, his Aura is more immense than mine too...but he was never interested in fighting for Harmony’s sake, so beyond the basics, he never bothered exploiting his full potential.
"You’ve...gotten so strong...," I remarked weakly, as I got back on my feet.
"Have I? Well, I honestly don’t care about that. But I have to put you out of your misery, so I had to get strong," He responded, his eyes dull and blank as he formed a shredding, swirling blast of water and aimed it at me, "You’ve suffered enough...and you’ve caused enough suffering. So...just die already."
As he fired it at me, I opened a portal to swallow it up and sent it right back at him, his eyes widening slightly in response before he quickly sent his arm zipping across, grabbing onto a steel pillar and yanking himself out of the way, grimacing as the attack brushed his left leg, several deep cuts appearing across it.
Blood came gushing out as he gritted his teeth and burnt his leg to stop the bleeding, the sound of flesh sizzling echoing out as smoke rose up from his leg, the bleeding having been stopped.
I could’ve easily opened a portal and cut his arm off before he grabbed onto the pillar, in which case, he’d have gotten torn apart just now...but I couldn’t do it.
The thought of seeing him all sliced up, dead in front of me...I just couldn’t do it. I...I can’t kill him.
"Please...please, stop this. I just...I don’t want to fight you," I begged him weakly, as he formed a swirling wind sphere in his hand.
"Is that so? Maybe you should have thought about that before you killed my wife and child," He replied, his tone blank, as a single tear ran down the left side of his face, before he took aim and fired the wind blast at me...
