Chapter 102: Chapter 101 - Incurred Wrath
Point-of-View: Wrest Seizel

"Wow, things sure are getting real messy now, eh?" Remarked Afro with a grin.
"That’s for sure. I’m both surprised and not surprised at this development," I chuckled in response.
Today’s the 5th of June, three days after Anarchy crashed the UN conference. I was currently at one of Chaos’ hideouts...and by that, I mean a regular old apartment building. So, yeah, unlike Eden and Harmony, we don’t have any fancy big-ass facilities for bases.
Anyway, shortly before Anarchy exposed the existence of Meta-Humans beyond a shadow of a doubt, I was portaled to this place, since I might be suspected as a traitor to Eden. Which would certainly be fair enough, since, you know, I am a traitor to them.
It was a little bit boring here, but at the same time, getting to kick back and relax a bit is pretty nice. I’ve been hanging out with Afro D. Ziac, the Aero Skill Outlier, and we’d been following the aftermath of that conference in the preceding days.
And there were currently reports coming out that some extremist churches had declared Meta-Humans to be ’apostles of the devil himself’ or some shit like that, and they were going around lynching random people who they suspected to be Meta-Humans.
Naturally, most of their victims are almost definitely just regular people. In fact, I’d be willing to be that they haven’t even found a single real Meta-Human yet.
Of course, law enforcement and their governments were trying to crack down on these figurative witch hunts, but the religious nutjobs were showing no signs of stopping.
"Aw, it got taken down," Groaned Afro in disappointment.
We were watching live streams that were uploaded by the people who were a part of these movements, but of course, each of the live streams we came across were taken down by the platforms they were streaming on within a matter of minutes.
"No worries, we got to see most of the best parts...let’s find another one," I grinned in response.
"Yeah, okay. Ooh, here’s one! Let’s see...it’s from Romania. Looks like a farm," He remarked, as he played the live stream.
"Kill them all! There’s no doubt that these people are devils!"
"It’s no wonder that they’ve refused to cooperate with our church for all this time!"
Wow...
"They’re definitely just going around killing people that they don’t like, aren’t they?" I scoffed in amusement.
"Yeah, no shit...they’re just using all this Meta-Human crap as a excuse," Chuckled Afro in response.
They had already killed a couple of people, and had now cornered a middle-aged couple and a young woman, who were cowering between a pile of haystacks.
"S-stay away from us, you lunatics!" frёeωebɳovel.com
"The only devils here are you people, deranged freaks!"
Hey, nice, they’re being pretty defiant for people who are about to die...the young woman looked petrified and unable to speak at all though, tears streaming down her face.
"You filthy devils, how dare you insult us, God’s servants!?"
"Spare them no mercy, kill them!"
So, uh, people actually still talk like that even in the modern era? It’s kinda cringy...
The young woman then screamed in horror as the other two were brutally and viciously stabbed to death, with her in the middle of it, trembling in terror as their blood splattered onto her.
"For a devil, this one has been blessed with a fine body and face."
"Unforgiveable...for a devil to assume such a form. Let’s teach her the consequences of that, shall we?" Smirked one of them, as he grabbed at her clothes.
Wow, seriously, are these people even living in the twenty-first century? They sound like bad villains out of an old medieval movie or something.
Suddenly, something crashed down behind the woman, landing on the bales of hay with quite an impact.
The people from the church let out cries of alarm and quickly backed away warily, as a figure rose up behind the woman.
A man, with long, combed back black hair, red eyes, and a neatly trimmed goatee with a short, pointy beard on his chin.
"Ooh, an actual Meta-Human showed up for real!?" Exclaimed Afro in excitement, as a chill ran down my spine...
I, uh...I don’t think that’s a Meta-Human...
"Who the hell are you!?"
"Are you one of these devils too!?"
He was silent, ignoring their questions as he surveyed the area, his eyebrows furrowing as he saw the dead bodies, before glancing at the young woman...
"What happened here?"
"I-I’m sorry, Mr Vlad...th-these people showed up from the church, started calling us devils and then killed everyone!" She sobbed in response, shaking fearfully, "Y-you have to get away, or they’ll-...!"
"Huh!? Do you really think that we’d let a devil escape!?"
"God is watching us, we can’t possibly do something so cowardly!"
I felt another chill run down my spine as the man then looked up, his red eyes starting to glow, his ears growing narrower, as fangs protruded out from his upper jaw.
"You humans disgust me...even after all this time, you refuse to change. I decided to let you all live in peace, and this is what you do? You vile creatures. Enough is enough. You people who cling to your so-called God, a fabricated being that does not even exist, and commit atrocities in his non-existent name, as an excuse to do as you please...you are beyond redemption. I will kill you all," He stated in a cold, icy voice.
"Wh-who do you think you are, you b-...!?" One of them began to snap, before he was abruptly cut off...as the top of his head was suddenly sliced off.
Huh? How did he...?
"Who do I think I am, you say? No, who do you think you are? Know your place, worthless scum...I am Vlad Tepes...but you may know me better as Dracula."
As he raised his hand, the glow of his eyes darkening, the live feed suddenly cut off as a flash of red burst out, leaving us stunned in silence...
"Did he, uh...did he say Dracula?" Inquired Afro with a wide-eyed look on his face.
"Yeah...pretty sure he did. Those religious fanatics may have just poked the hornet’s nest," I replied in shock and disbelief.
If that guy really is who he said he is, then the wrath of the most feared and legendary Vampire of all time has just been incurred. That can’t be good for anyone...

Point-of-View: Vlad Tepes
———————————————————————————
For centuries, I left the humans in peace, tired of all the bloodshed I’d endured for longer than I can even remember. I decided to fade into obscurity, living with a family of farmers that I had been acquainted with from ages ago.
I have lost count of how many generations of this family I have seen come and go, and while I remained somewhat distant from them, overtime, I could not help but feel a sense of attachment towards them.
They are aware of my identity, and have faithfully kept that secret all this time, and in return, I offered them my protection.
In recent years, I had begun to enjoy their company and life in this modern era. Even when the Meta-Humans revealed their existence a few days ago, I did not bother paying any attention to it, I simply assumed that it would not concern me.
During mornings, I like to take a walk, it soothes and relaxes me, and I always return to a scrumptious breakfast ready and waiting for me. But today, there was none of that.
Instead, a familiar sight greeted me, the very sight that drove me to live in peaceful obscurity...the sight of corpses.
"S-stay back, you devil! M-may God smite you where you stand!" Stuttered the last of the assailants from the church, holding up a cross shakily.
Deranged fanatics...I was not even aware that people in the modern era still speak in such a manner. I have always despised churches and those who obsess over religion...I should have wiped them all out a long time ago...
"Even in these times of peace, you church scum still insist on incurring my wrath, do you? Very well, then...I shall ensure that every last one of you will die by my hand. Lowly filth," I remarked coldly, as a spike extended out from the ground and pierced through his body, bursting out of his mouth.
I then turned around and walked towards the girl, the only survivor of this unprovoked massacre...she is the daughter of the head of the farm, whom I had arrived just too late to save.
I knelt down beside her and placed a hand on her shoulder, as she sobbed while clutching her deceased parents...
"Please, forgive me, Camelia. I had sworn to protect you all, but I was not even here when it mattered the most," I apologized, cursing my own frustration.
"Why...why did this have to happen? They never even hurt a fly, they didn’t deserve this!" She wailed in despair and sorrow.
"I am so sorry, I-."
"No...it’s not your fault, Mr Vlad. I refuse to blame you for the actions of those...those heartless, wicked monsters! We’ve always been on their bad side since we refused to join their church, but...I never imagined that they’d go this far! I...I want them all dead, they have to pay for this!" She snapped, a look of unyielding rage in her eyes, her teeth firmly gritted as tears poured down her face.
"Yes...I feel the same way. And I swear this...I shall kill them all, every last one of them..." fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
