Chapter 92: 160 (3)

Raising both of it’s hand, the demon was aiming it’s palms to slam into Incus again.

The demon’s arms had swatted the clouds away.

"Scales of dragon, release." The dragon scales then dismantled, and we began falling.

Covering my hand with my arm, the supreme demon’s arm was too wide.

We won’t be able to dodge it in time..!

Calming my breathing, our speed accelerated as we fell closer towards the ground.

A loud thud then erupted.

Looking back behind me, the supreme demon had slammed both of his palms on hsi chest.

The impact blew a strong gust of wind which accelerated our fall.

My face paled, as the supreme demon was slamming his hands down across his body at us.

Although it’s movements was slow it was slowly picking up speed.

Soon we passed the demon’s hip line, and the demon had stopped it’s attack.

Slowly titling his head, the demon looked at the kingdom of Febritust.

"Damn it!" Incus gritted her teeth, "There’s nothing..."

Alleus grimaced, talking was very difficult as we fell.

Suddenly something erupted from the middle of the kingdom of Febritust.

A rush of water exploded from the center of Febritust and a giant serpent made of water that was just a little shorter from the supreme demon roared.

Swirling around before floating in the air, the serpent began flying straight at the supreme demon.

"Come on and get me!" Roared the water serpent.

That voice sounds familiar.

Glancing up at the novel’s draft, I couldn’t help but laugh.

It was indeed queen Evecles. freeweɓnøvel.com

But we still have a problem, how in the world are we going to break our fall!

If we suddenly stop now, then our bones will shatter and our internal organs will explode!

"Scales, transform into a parachute." Said Incus, and a sheet appeared behind Incus, gradually slowing down our fall.

But because we were slow to fall, we were open to any attacks done by the supreme demon brute.

"Scales... give everyone here except Incus a breathing mask." I struggled to say, because the strong wind of the altitude was still intense, so breathing still remained difficult.

The cloak like dragon scales armor shortened to armpit length as it wrapped around our mouths.

When the breathing masks fully formed, breathing became much easier but keeping my eyes open for over ten seconds remained difficult as it would dry out.

Even if I commanded for the dragon scales to turn into something to shield my eyes, my vision would be blocked.

Just as expected the supreme brute demon had shifted it’s attention, raising it’s leg to kick us.

It’s a slow kick but because our fall was still pretty fast even though the parachute was slowing us down... The impact will be the same as running straight into a wall without raising your hands to weaken the impact.

The giant water serpent was still picking up it’s speed in it’s journey at the supreme brute demon.

Hurry up and fly here sooner damn it!

At the rate the kick and the serpent are going, the supreme demon will hit us first unless there is a way for us to change our path of direction.

"Scales of dragon, become into a glide." Incus said bluntly, the dragon scales turning into a glide.

Grabbing the handle of the glide, Incus changed the path.

And soon enough we had gone out of the kicking range.

With a loud growl, the supreme demon began slowly running at the kingdom of Febritust.

Flying off to the side, Incus aimed to land on top of the castle walled.

Flying pass us, the serpent dragon clashed with the supreme demon brute.

Upon landing on the castle wall, I gently laid down Vertere.

"Just sit and watch." Incus said coldly, commanding her dragon scales armor to turn into a chair.

Not bothering to worry about Incus, I commanded for the dragon scales mask to disperse and go back into the cloak.

"How’s his breathing?" I pointed at Acro, "Vertere’s condition seems stable but Acro doesn’t seem to be so well."

"He’s going to be fine, partner. But I am worried that the shock might have done something to his mind or some dirt that was flying into the air got into his lungs." Alleus said worryingly, taking out a flask but her face turned into disappointment when she realized it was empty.

Opening my pouch and taking out my flask, I was going to offer her a drink but it was empty as well.

Slapping Vertere, his cheek turned read.

"Ughhhh... what is it?" Vertere groaned, rubbing his cheek, "Don’t you dare slap me again... you rotten bastard—!"

Slapping his again, he jumped up.

"Damn it, quit hitting me!" Vertere stomped his foot.

"Hurry up and fill up my flask, I’m getting thirsty..." Wincing, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my abdomen.

Looking down, my wound had opened up.

"Lay down, seriously your brain must be rotten. You shouldn’t have pushed yourself so hard." Vertere rubbed the spot between his eyes, "In any case, hold out your flasks, I’ll refill them."

Extending our hands, Vertere filled our flasks and I laid down on the stone of the castle walls.

"Healing light." Vertere formed a healing barrier not fully around me but concentrated on the spot of my wound.

"Wake up Acro, he’s much more suited for this line of work." Vertere glanced over, But Acro started convulsing.

"W-What the?" Vertere stopped the healing barrier and assessed Acro.

Bending down to listen Acro’s breathing, Vertere’s expression grew dim.

"His breathing, it’s shallow... something has gotten into his lungs, healing magic will just delay the effects of the damage he sustained." Vertere placed his wand over Acro’s mouth, "Water flow"

A gentle flow of water then flew into Acro’s mouth.

"I’m going to clense his lungs, but the chances of this succeeding is low because I’ve never really done it before. So make sure that you hold him down..!" Vertere grimaced, sweat pouring down his face.
