Chapter 91: 160 (2)

"Thousand spear sky!" Thrusting her sword a thousand times, she then muttered:

"ExcaliVoid!"

A thousand chains then conjured from shadows, on the sky tall demon’s foot.

The shadow chains rattled.

"That should log him in place—" Said Incus but her voice then grew quite as the chains had shattered.

"What that’s impossible!" Incus shouted in anger, "Is he just too big for the chains? They were enough for Dragonborn, so that must be it."

It is strange that the demon general Dragonborn could be held down by shadow chains but this giant demon can’t.

Are demon generals really who they claim to be, because the opponents we’ve been facing lately are strong and not just strong but much stronger than the demon generals.

Unless the author is just inconsistent with their plot and how they gauge the strength of the demons... that must be it.

Continuing to descend, the demon’s foot was going to squash all of us.

"We’re going to die!" Acro shouted, his face filled with tears.

"Stop crying you rotten newbie, we’ll get out of this somehow." Vertere scoffed, "As the superior and much more combat experienced mage, listen to my command.

As we were slowly falling, Acro nodded.

Replacing the shadowy hero sword in her hand, she summoned the Fire hero’s sword.

"Using the Water hero’s sword wouldn’t do anything." Incus pondered.

With lightning speed, Incus stood on the bottom of the demon’s foot and began running out of the way, readjusting her stance to land on the demons foot.

"Ice road!" Another road of ice began forming underneath our feet as Incus started running up the demon’s leg.

As we got high and higher up the demon, it was difficult to continue sticking our feet planted on the demon.

Glancing behind me, Alleus had pulled down Acro as he was about to lose his footing and start dangling.

"Make sure not to fall out!" I shouted through the strong wind hitting against us, "Once any one of you fall off, we’ll all fall and lose our balance!"

With a loud sound of moisture rubbing against something, the supreme demon’s eyes had locked onto Incus.

The sigh was absolutely horrifying.

"We’re going to die!" Acro shouted, "Why are we following Incus in the first place!"

"Because we’re in a novel, you don’t have to believe me now but you will later on." Vertere replied.

"Do you take me for a fool?" Acro scoffed, "S-Sure the situation looks absolutely other worldly but that doesn’t mean we’re in a novel—!"

Picking up the pace, Incus ran even faster than before.

As we were sliding behind her, it became harder to stick our footing.

Unlike Incus who has Lightning to help her stick into the ground but we don’t.

Catching something in my perifular vision, I shifted my eyes.

The supreme brute demon was raising its palm to smack us.

"G-Get me off!" Acro flailed, through all of us off balance.

Knocking Acro out, Alleus carried him on his back.

"He won’t be a nuisence anymore, bring him with us was a pretty dumb idea but the idea of an experienced healer is a good addition." Alleus stated.

Pointing up a thumbs up, I gestured my approval of her actions which she replied with a thumbs up of her own.

Running even faster than before, Incus had escaped the vicinity of where the supreme demon would hit.

As we got closer to the supreme demon’s head, it’s palm had slammed onto itself.

Loosing my footing, we began falling because the impact had erupted throughout the demon’s body.

"Ahhh!" Vertere shouted.

"Ring!" Alleus reached her hand out.

Grabbed her hand, I hooked my foot around Vertere and pulled him towards me.

Stabbing her sword into the ground, Incus had stopped the fall.

As we dangled in the air, Vertere passed out after looking at how high we were from the ground.

Pulling Vertere closing by the dragon scales that had latched us onto each other, I placed him over our shoulder.

At the same time, Incus had readjusted herself and continued running up the supreme demon’s chest.

"Excalibolt." Incus then leapt at full strength.

As we elevated higher in the sky, the air became thinner and harder became harder.

Soon we appeared in front of the supreme demon’s face, and we were dangling in the air beneath Incus.

It looks our weight hadn’t pulled down Incus because she was meant to stay longer in the air.

It’s face was monstrous, I point out it’s every feature but in short the supreme demon was horrifying, I almost genuinely pissed myself.

The thing that caught my attention the most is that, It’s teeth were as tall as the castle walls.

As we floated in front of it’s face, the demon shifted it’s pupils to look directly at Incus.

Although it was looking at Incus, I couldn’t help but feel that it was staring at us too. freēwēbnovel.com

"Excaliburn!" Incus shot out a projectile of flame made of flame at the supreme demon, " Excaliburn Excaliburn Excaliburn!"

Swinging her sword, Incus relentlessly used Excaliburn without an ounce of hesitation in her movements.

The explosion of heat was beating on my face, my sweat evaporating immediately.

Damn it, if only Vertere was awake, then he’d be able to cool us down.

Eventually Incus’ movements however slowed down, before the flame stopping completely.

Glancing up at the draft, it looks like she had spent her mana.

"W-What the, where am I?" Acro was beginning to wake but he then screeched and passed out again, his mouth foaming.

The dragon scales that was strengthening Incus had dispersed and he began falling.

"Scales of dragon, latch me onto the demons skin." Said Incus, the dragon scales armor digging into the supreme demon’s skin, catching her fall.

"Damn it, all of that effort and still nothing." Incus said, forming a fist.

The supreme demon then began laughing, it’s laugh ear piercing.

I plugged my ear canals but it wasn’t enough.
