Katelyn had weird vibes all over her that would make a person discard her claims of being one of the top ten best-rated SS-ranked Breakers. For starters, instead of the Breaker uniform, she had on a small red vest that didn’t just reveal her belly button, but her muscular mid-biceps as well.
She had on the Breakers’ white trousers too, but she had torn through some parts of it, maybe in the name of fashion.
"Relax, I’m not going to hurt you."
Katelyn began, extending her arms to the sides as she realized that the two were in a battle stance. They were concentrated on her so much that one wrong move on her end would cause a battle to erupt, which was a very idiotic thing to do since Leo was bandaged up and in no shape to try to fight an SS-ranked Breaker.
Jennifer lowered her guard a little.
"Then why did you use your technique?"
"It’s because the officials didn’t want you to meet anyone else the moment you arrived. My technique creates that pocket in reality, that’s why the others can’t see us or even hear us. You people are pretty famous here, so that’s why we went through all this trouble!"
She enlightened them, her words clear of any kind of manipulation.
But unlike Jennifer, Leo never lowered his guard, luckily Katelyn caught onto it quickly.
"I understand if you don’t believe me."
She moved to the glass wall that was acting like the barrier. Using her left hand, she swiped on the invisible wall, swarms of energy parting on her hand as the real reality of the people talking was revealed.
"I feel sorry for those kids, they had to face a Knight of Flames with only a weak level 1 skill."

"Mehn, that’s the third Null candidate, right? Carrying along dead weight and meeting the Knight, that’s bad luck. So basically, if the Null kid already had his skill, maybe the other teammate wouldn’t have been killed."
Leo’s face melted immediately, looking down as sorrow filled his being. His chest felt so heavy like he had carried a bag of cement.
No matter how he thought about it, the others were right. In battle, it’s always the little things that change the tide of war, and in that case, it was his weakness that caused all of it.
A tear started to crack at the corner of his eye. The other two girls caught on it too.
Katelyn moved her hand on the barrier, swiping on the same place she did earlier. Energy covered the place, making it blur as the voices stopped at once as well, making them numb again.
Jennifer, on the other hand, just looked at Leo in sadness. This was her first time seeing Leo drop a tear. She wanted to say something, create words from her broken heart, but no matter how she tried, nothing came up.
"Alright, follow me now."
Together they crossed all over the lounge, passing through the people to an elevator. None of the people could sense their presence, not even a little, maybe because the skill didn’t affect them in any physical way.
At first Leo thought it was invisibility, but after going through the experience, it almost felt like they were in their own physical plane.
Upon arriving at the elevator, they opened it and entered. After the sensor doors finally closed, Katelyn deactivated her technique.
The elevator began moving up smoothly.
"Now that we got that covered up,"
She muttered, stretching her arms and exposing a side of her breast.
Leo’s eyes magnetized, getting attracted to the breast immediately. It was almost weird how eyes naturally turned to a girl when she was dressed or looked inappropriately.
His cheeks flushed for a while as he turned his attention away, acting like he didn’t see anything.
"Your matter is pretty vital, but you need to pass through the officials first before you go to the Founder. They will just ask you some questions, so don’t fear anything and just tell them what they want to know!"
Leo and Jennifer absorbed everything they heard into their minds like sponges.
"And one thing, they are all old geezers, so don’t get deceived by their young looks."
A sting erupted in Leo’s mind, a memory surfacing up above all.

The elevator finally came to a stop, the doors opening consecutively into a massive room that had a lot of chairs circulating around a single point in the middle. It was built in a design like most of the parliaments back on Earth. It carried some intensity.
Katelyn led them all into the single point in the middle where there was a little stage for them to stand on, all the eyes of the officials there looking at them with disgusting expressions, like some sort of trash had arrived in a place they weren’t supposed to be. Surprisingly, what Katelyn had said was right. The whole place was filled with young people, only by looks that is, but their minds were like that of 90-year-olds.
After arriving at the point, Katelyn bowed respectfully then moved away from the stage.
"You got this under control, I’m rooting for you."
She whispered in their ears as she walked away from the podium.
Leo swallowed saliva as his heart began racing so fast. As he looked at the officials’ judging eyes, it brought memories of how people used to look at him back on Earth. He took repeated deep breaths to steady himself, but none of that seemed to help at all.
His vision began to circle, dizziness taking control of his sight. With every passing second, he felt like he was going to collapse to the ground, but luckily Jennifer secretly held Leo’s hand. The warmth of her body coursed into his.
Leo’s could feel his insides turned with shyness even though he held a controlled front before the others. Actually, what comforted him wasn’t her touch, but the erotic ideas he got in his mind that pulled him away from being drowned completely in fear.
"Are you Leo Hamany and Jennifer Bing?"
One of the officials near them spoke through his microphone, the voice scattering all over the room.
Leo hesitated first before replying.
"Yes, yes we are."
The muscular young man turned forward while crossing his hands together like some kind of mafia boss.
"Can you tell us what exactly happened during your awakening test? Please don’t spare any detail because your future here depends on it."
