Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Peak Of Body Tempering Realm

"Now what should I do?" Standing up, he felt conflicted about whether he should get out or not. "I should take a look at my status before deciding."

He blinked, and the familiar screen appeared before his eyes.

[Name: Shen Yuan]

Age: 16

Level: 10/10 (Late Stage of body Tempering ) XP: 48,900 /50,000

[Techniques Comprehended: Expand>]

Strength (STR): 79

Agility (AGI): 75

Dexterity (DEX): 88

Physique (PHY): 98 ]

[Stat points: 4]

[Current Status: Fit as a fiddle.]

[Lifespan: 150 years.]

[System Suggestion: You are now in the prime of your life. It is the best time to train your body and reach the peak of its current state before breaking through the next realm.

[Inventory: Salve. Healing herbs. Divine Bone Paste. Axe. Divine Star Cultivation Manual. Broken Metal Wire. 1x robes. 1x boots. 1x accessories. 1x Servant Robes. 1x 5 Star Soul Clipper. 1x cleaning outfit. 1 random stolen outfit. 15 girls.

It was surprising to see so many changes in the screen.

Shen Yuan did not even look at his attributes or his realm. His eyes landed on the [Current Status] the moment it appeared before him.

"Haa..." He let out a long sigh of relief he did not even realize he had been holding. "I cannot tell how many days have passed with this lifespan."

Shen Yuan was hoping to use his lifespan to check how many days had passed by counting the days that had been reduced from the number.

Not dwelling on it anymore, he glanced back up on the level without much surprise in his eyes.

"Let’s even everything out first." The attributes made his OCD act up again, but then he noticed something different.

There were two different + signs on the screen.

One of them was in the same place, but there was another one, a bigger one, covering all the numbers.

Out of curiosity, Shen Yuan tried to click it, and it showed a new notification.

[Detected Minimum Requirement To Break Through In Body Cultivation Realm—Proceed To Break Through?]

[Yes] [No]

Shen Yuan merely glanced at the window before pressing the second option.

’Body cultivation. It was also in the Divine Star Manual too. I should wait before I maximize the profits of the attributes in all ways before breaking through.’

Shen Yuan could feel the power brimming under his skin. He could tell if he faced Shen Yuan again, the outcome would be much different than before.

He could now fight him and even win against him under the right conditions.

This was the truth. Even though the divine fruit had helped him a lot, most of its power went to forging a new body for him.

Each part of his body was broken and remade using the energy of the fruit from inside out. Bones first and the skin last.

All that was left of the old body was now buried underground.

Strength (STR): 79

Agility (AGI): 83

Dexterity (DEX): 88

Physique (PHY): 100 ]

After the [Physique] stat hit 100, Shen Yuan noticed that the + sign beside it had disappeared and the whole line had turned green.

’Is this the limit?’ Shen Yuan proceeded to add the remaining points to make [Strength] reach 80 and [Agility], 84.

"The system advice, I should follow it." As he proceeded to look down, Shen Yuan’s eyes landed on one of the items in his inventory.

"A 5 Star weapon? Soul Clipper?" He never expected the clipper to be so powerful. 5 Star weapons were something he could not afford to carry as a servant like him without being targeted by others who knew he was eyeing it. "No wonder it was mentioned that no one should take it out of this place. The effects would be disastrous, but can’t someone hide it in a storage ring?"

Although the question of why the person who wrote the slab said even the storage ring was not safe irked him, Shen Yuan moved on.

"I should continue to temper my body using the leftover Dragon Bone Paste before breaking through."

...

For an entire day, Shen Yuan trained his body until it gave up. He did not eat anything in this time and only drank water from the lake, which eased his hunger a little.

He did not just train his dexterity; he spent the whole day practicing doing power training.

He did not want his strength to lag behind his AGI and DEX stats. "I should leave now."

Shen Yuan had already dressed himself in the new robes he had bought a while ago.

He was looking for a way out of the place. Shen Yuan could continue to train in this place, but he did not know how much time had passed.

Based on the duration, he would have to decide whether he would become a senior servant or a traitor of the Bloody Moon Sect.

According to his guess, a week had passed under the mountain. He was guessing based on how hungry he was feeling at the moment.

But he could not rely on such a vague guess.

As he walked around the tree, Shen Yuan saw a crooked gate, tilted to the side, as was the stairway inside of it leading upwards.

"This is it." Although there had been many entering points in the City, Shen Yuan was curious where this one would lead him.

Taking a step inside the crooked door, Shen Yuan felt a bit weird.

It was like his whole world had twisted. The stairs suddenly started swirling, startling him. He wanted to turn back, but upon sensing no malice from the hare, he held himself back.

The air twisted, swallowing Shen Yuan whole.

One second he was standing hundreds or thousands of meters under the mountain, and the next second he was standing inside an abandoned building.

He looked around and realized it was a broken temple. In the temple, there was an idol of some demonic entity standing in the middle. The statue was old and cracked from several places.

Shen Yuan felt the whole thing to be eerie. The way the limpid eyes of the figurines were looking straight at him like they were actually watching him was weird.

He stepped close to check only to stop. His eyes narrowed because of it.

’Someone is here.’ He had sensed another presence inside the temple.
