Chapter 2631: Chapter 2631: Senior, Have You Taken a Fancy to Some Treasure?
The pitch-black clouds concealed two people, lurking like ghosts.
One was a short, round-faced middle-aged man who seemed to wear a smile at all times, and the other was a tall, handsome figure—it was actually Lucas White of the Heavenly God Sect!
Why is Lucas White here?
Carson Flores suddenly remembered that when he and Lucas had parted before, Lucas had said he was heading to the West Prison.
And they actually ran into each other here?
Then who was the person beside him?
A senior from his sect?
Three Quasi-Saints were slaughtering each other below, and yet these two were secretly watching from the side—what were they trying to do?
Weren’t they afraid of getting dragged into it?
If they were discovered by Master of Path and the others and casually wiped out, wouldn’t that be a huge loss?
No, something’s off!
There was no way they couldn’t tell that the ones fighting were Quasi-Saints, yet they still dared to hide here. That meant they had confidence, at least enough to ensure their own lives.
Carson Flores’s eyes suddenly widened, his gaze lighting up.
Could this middle-aged man be that Saint of Thieves?
If he really was the Saint of Thieves, then everything made sense.
Although the Saint of Thieves’ strength was on the weaker side among the many Quasi-Saints, his thievery and mastery of the Law of Space were unmatched in the Immortal Realm. Naturally, he had life-saving trump cards, so he dared to watch from here, and might even be planning to seize the opportunity to steal something—like the Heaven-devouring Altar or the Green Cloud Cauldron.
As that thought surfaced, a bold idea suddenly rose in Carson Flores’s heart.
He silently inched closer to the two while sending a voice transmission to Lucas White.
"White, long time no see!"
Lucas White was staring excitedly at the battlefield below when a voice suddenly rang in his mind, startling him. He turned his head and saw Carson Flores sneaking over from the distance like a little thief. His speed wasn’t fast, but there was actually no fluctuation of aura on him at all, as if he were a lifeless stone.
Lucas White’s eyes also widened. "Carson Flores! What are you doing here?"
The middle-aged man sensed something as well. He turned to look at Carson Flores, his gaze full of wariness.
Carson Flores hurriedly spoke, "Senior, I’m Lucas White’s friend, Carson Flores!"
A hint of surprise flickered in the middle-aged man’s eyes. What level is this kid at, that he actually dares to hide here and watch a Quasi-Saint battle?
Lucas White stared at Carson Flores drawing near and asked in shock, "Why are you here? This place is very dangerous!"
Carson Flores ignored Lucas White and instead cupped his fists to the middle-aged man, sending a voice transmission: "Senior, might you be the world-renowned Saint of Thieves?"
The middle-aged man’s gaze turned subtle. "You know me?"
Saint of Thieves!
So this person really was the Saint of Thieves!
Carson Flores pointed downward. "I’ve heard Senior Zane mention you before. She holds you in very high regard..."
The middle-aged man—who was indeed the Saint of Thieves—looked at Carson Flores in surprise. "So you’re on the same side as that woman?"
Carson Flores nodded. "Yes, Senior. Though it’s presumptuous, this junior still hopes you can lend a hand and help Senior Zane escape with her life. If you don’t act, Senior Zane will most likely die here."
The Saint of Thieves chuckled lightly. "That’s Master of Path, the Ten Thousand Immortals Hall Master of the Myriad Immortals Palace. If I save her, wouldn’t I be offending him?"
Carson Flores blinked. "Senior, have you taken a fancy to some magical treasure—perhaps the Heaven-devouring Altar, the Green Cloud Cauldron, or something else?"
The Saint of Thieves’ expression stiffened slightly, then immediately returned to normal. That brief reaction was enough for Carson Flores to confirm his guess.
This Saint of Thieves really had guts—he actually was planning to steal their magical treasures!
Carson Flores’s eyes lit up. "Senior, how about this: I’ll go draw their attention, you make your move, steal the magical treasures, and save someone along the way?"
The Saint of Thieves looked at him oddly. "You’re going to draw their attention? Then you’re as good as dead."
Carson Flores spread his hands and grinned carefreely. "It’s fine. This junior is only an incarnation right now; my true body isn’t here."
"An incarnation?"
The Saint of Thieves examined Carson Flores in surprise. "It’s that realistic? This is a Bloodline Divine Ability. Hendrix, you know him?"
Lucas White nodded. "Yes. I traveled with him for a while. He’s a very good friend—afraid of neither heaven nor earth. I originally wanted to recommend him to join the Heavenly God Sect."
In just a few words’ time, the situation below had deteriorated even further.
The Time Domain finally couldn’t hold any longer and began to shatter inch by inch. Cyrveth McCarty and Master of Path’s counterattack forced Snow Zane to cough up blood repeatedly, and her once youthful, beautiful face actually began to age again.
Snow Zane couldn’t hold on anymore!
Carson Flores stopped wasting words, cupped his fists again, and said, "Senior, please act and save her, or it will be too late."
The Saint of Thieves rubbed his chin with one hand. After a brief hesitation, he decisively said, "Alright, let’s do it. Chances like this don’t come often. You go draw their attention; I’ll make my move!"
"Got it!"
Joy surged in Carson Flores’s heart as he slipped forward quickly along the dark clouds.
Since the Saint of Thieves was here for the magical treasures, then the best time to act was when those treasures were fully attacking and unguarded.
As the Time Domain completely shattered, Cyrveth McCarty sneered and pointed at the Heaven-devouring Altar suspended in the sky.
The mouth of the Heaven-devouring Altar instantly aligned with Snow Zane. Just as it was about to suck the grievously wounded, near-death Snow Zane inside, Carson Flores’s figure flashed out from the dark clouds.
"Stop!"
