Chapter 256: I Want To See Him

"Skyla!!! You look gorgeous girl. Zyair is going to have a heart attack." Huria turned Skyla around so the girls could gush at her.

"Aww! I have never seen such a stunning bride," Erdith claimed with a hearty smile, her hand going to her ajar mouth. She was so happy for this girl who had been through so much in her life.

"You are going to rock it girl," Mawar added in delight while handing her a bouquet of white lilies and red Camellias as requested by Skyla.

"I am indebted to you girls, couldn’t have done it without you." Skyla beamed at her friends, while her heart swelled twice in size from the love and joy she was experiencing.

"I have a request though." Skyla turned to Huria, knowing she had to make her friend agree.

"What is it?" Huria asked with curiosity.

"I know you said Zyair can’t see me but I want to see him before walking down the aisle. Can you bring him here? You can blindfold him if you want," Skyla requested, her eyes pleading with her friend, who had her lips curling as she thought it over. freewebnøvel.com

"Please!" Skyla grabbed her hands and pleaded again. Huria had to throw her hands down in defeat. freewebnσvel.cѳm

"All right, you know I can’t say no to you. But no cheating, he mustn’t see you," Huria warned with her index finger raised. Others tittered at her bossy attitude.

"He won’t, I promise. Thank you, girl." Skyla embraced her friend again in gratitude.

The girls left and Skyla was alone for a few moments, she checked herself in the mirror and saw the stark differences in herself between her first and second marriage.

She wasn’t suffocating in this dress, instead, it was pride that she felt to be dressed up for a man who was a true embodiment of positive masculinity.

The smile of satisfaction that graced her lips as she stared at the pin — resting proudly in her hair was priceless indeed.

She was lost in the valley of thoughts when the door opened and Lawrence stepped inside guiding a fully blindfolded Zyair. Skyla turned around to watch her man all suited up for their wedding.

"Miss Huria says no peeking and to make it quick. I have to stay right outside," he relayed the instructions with widened eyes, taking in how beautiful Skyla looked but didn’t wish to ruin the surprise by saying something.

He made a hand sign towards Skyla which meant she was rocking it. She mimed a ’thank you’ in his direction. Lawrence stood Zyair near the door.

"Thank you, Lawrence. I will take it from here." Skyla flashed him a smile, and he turned and exited the door.

Skyla gathered her dress up in her hands and began to slowly walk towards Zyair, the poor guy had his face and eyes both covered and appeared a cross between Gojo and Kakashi.

"Sky?" He softly called her out and she rushed to embrace him.

"Zyair! I missed you," she whispered in his chest where his heart was rapidly beating in anticipation of why she had called him there. His strong arms went around her, crushing her to him.

"Me too, is anything the matter?" He softly questioned not trying to rattle her by any means.

She lifted her head and reluctantly said, "Umm! I have a request. You can always say no if you are uncomfortable."

Zyair’s hands slid up her silken back covered in pearls and he gently cupped her face before whispering lovingly.

"It’s our wedding day. Anything you will ask, I will give it to you, my love."

Skyla smiled at the unconditional love this man held for her.

"Can we do this without the mask? I know it’s your decision but I want our loved ones to see your handsome face and get used to it. We have nothing to be afraid of, the world can’t hurt us anymore. The leverage they had, they have lost it now. So will you do this for me?"

She solemnly requested and prepared herself for any answer he might give her. No way would she be disappointed if he chose not to remove it but it would make her extremely happy if he did.

Zyair smiled underneath the mask at her sweet request. Everyone had seen his face, he just wore the mask out of habit now and he didn’t want people to needlessly stare at him. But this was their wedding and she deserved to have a normal one.

"Sky! Remove the mask, we will attend our wedding ceremony like a proper couple. I don’t care who sees us or says what today."

Skyla almost shrieked in joy and she hugged him back, trying not to cry and smudge her makeup. Huria will kill her.

"Thank you! You have no clue how much I appreciate it." Her hands shook as she let him go and reached behind his ears to remove the pristinely white mask that covered his gorgeous face.

Skyla couldn’t see his eyes so she didn’t know what kind of emotions he was holding there but his full lips were curving into an enigmatic smile. He was content with his decision and that’s all that mattered to her.

Skyla straightened his white coat jacket and observed how he was wearing the lapel pin she had gifted him. Looking dandy and sexy in this three-piece suit, she couldn’t control herself and smothered his soft lips with her painted ones.

She was starving for him and the kiss that was supposed to come after their ring exchange and vows was happening right before it. They didn’t care for the rules didn’t matter to them.

Zyair’s hands instantly snaked in her styled hair and held her against him, groaning in her mouth for he had immensely missed kissing her. Three torturous days was a very long time, at least for him.

Her red lipstick was all but smeared as their tongues lapped around in each other’s mouths, desperately trying to put out the fires burning inside them.

Huria was going to murder them both but that was in the future for now they simply wanted to taste each other’s lips and ram their tongues down each other’s throats.

Breathless, they finally let go and Skyla had to purse her lips to refrain herself from laughing out, seeing his lips painted red by her lipstick.

"Sorry, I got lipstick on your lips," she mumbled, trying not to laugh but he did.

"It’s all right, my Lily. I know it made you smile." Zyair grabbed a tissue out of his pocket and began to dab it on his lips. Skyla took it from him and wiped his lips clean.

"Here, all set. We can proceed now."

"I can’t wait to see you, my wife-to-be. I know you are a stunner and have already stolen my heart but I am very much looking forward to seeing you walk down that red carpet to reach me. I will be waiting."

Both of them held on with the stupidest and love-filled grins on their faces. Their love held no bounds, no boundaries and no toxicity. It was just that, it was plain and true love.
