Chapter 253: Signs Of Love
"Hmmm, I see what you are doing and it’s working. Five minutes it is and no pictures or video calls. All you get are five minutes of her voice." Huria did a happy dance and handed the phone to Skyla.
"Five minutes." She pointed her index and middle finger towards her eyes and then towards the phone.
Skyla laughed hysterically, lying on her back she pressed the phone to her ear and said.
"Hello!"
"Hey! My beautiful Lily. I just wanted to hear your voice, it was tough negotiating with Huria."
"Zyyy, what did you do?" Skyla asked in amusement.
"I made some promises so I could talk to my girl." Zyair leaned back on the sofa in Rais’s home, where he had stayed the night.
"Like?"
"Rubies, Rais helped me. It was the only thing he said that could work," Zyair throttled in full volume, his voice resonating in the living room.
"Oh my, it seems like it is the most expensive call in the world." Skyla knew very well how much Huria loved rubies.
"And it is worth every second of it as long as I can hear that melodious voice of yours, I can do anything. Can’t wait for tomorrow."
Skyla’s chubby cheeks tinted rosy red at his words.
"Me too."
"Did you have fun yesterday? Where did you go?" He asked, raking his hand in his freshly cut hair.
"We did, it was a perfect bachelorette party. We went to the place you and I met for the first time." She didn’t tell him about Azik. She would see a proper time to bring that up.
Zyair’s heart slightly ached at the mention of that place but then he remembered the best thing to happen to him was in that place. That’s where he met her and it will always hold this special place in his heart.
"Was it memorable? Did you think about that night? Or were you busy staring at the strippers," he tauntingly asked like a jealous fiancé and Skyla couldn’t help but snicker in amusement at his cute jealousy. freewēbnoveℓ.com
"I did both, it was my bachelorette party and you told me to have fun. But no one touched me, that right is reserved only for you." That last statement swelled his heart and he forgot all his jealousy.
"Just you wait till tomorrow," he breathlessly whispered and Skyla had to bite her lips to stop herself from laughing.
Instead, she asked.
"How was your night?"
"We had fun too, watching the game and drinking our beers. Lawrence wanted to hit a bar but I just wanted to relax at home."
Zyair was not a fan of bars and strip clubs but now he completely avoided going out, especially in gatherings where people could confront him.
The media had been on his trail to get any kind of statement from him but he had refused to even acknowledge them. Even the news of their marriage had been kept secret. He wanted to keep the media at bay. This was his sacred moment and he wished to only share it with his loved ones.
"Five minutes are up, Lovebirds. Time to say goodbyes." Huria tapped her foot and pointed to the clock with a cocked brow.
"Ok, ok," Skyla laughed at her bossy attitude.
"Zy, I need to go, I will see you tomorrow. Love you."
"Love you, my wife-to-be. Goodbye," he said with a heavy heart.
The call ended with Skyla grinning like an idiot, she would never get used to this man making butterflies dance in her stomach.
After that massage, Skyla took a bath and the girls had lunch together. Mawar joined them too.
"My fellow weebs, I would like an opinion," Mawar reluctantly asked, twirling some spaghetti on her fork.
"Of course!" Skyla reassuringly smiled. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
"So how can you be sure when you like someone?" A slight blush appeared on her cheeks as she pushed back her indigo-shaded hair. Skyla’s lips curled into a knowing one now.
"Well, it happens when you want to rip their clothes off and take that big co–," A friendly slap landed on Huria’s head, delivered by Skyla followed by a glare.
"Ouch! That’s the truth, that’s how I always felt" Huria rubbed the back of her head, giving Skyla a meh look.
"Don’t put stupid ideas in her head, she is just beginning this." Skyla shook her head at Huria before turning it towards Mawar.
"Never ask Huria for love advice," Skyla said with slight sarcasm while Mawar bunched her lips together to not laugh aloud at what Huria was about to say. Huria sulked and threw her hands out before saying.
"It worked for a few months. There was always so much physical attraction."
"That’s only one factor, Huria. You know now better than anyone. It’s your compatibility with the other person, the mutual respect people hold for each other, the trust you show and most importantly it’s how that person makes you smile. Never let go of the person who can put a smile on your face." Skyla placed her hand on Mawar’s and smiled in reassurance.
"Sex too, you need to have a physical connection. Say what you must but it’s important," Huria expressed loftily with her nonchalant shoulder movements.
Skyla and Mawar shook with laughter at her answer as it died down, Skyla added.
"The most important aspect is to listen to your heart, it always knows when you find the right person. Trust your gut."
"Thanks for the advice. I think I like someone but I am not sure and don’t want to ruin my friendship by taking it in a different light," Mawar confided to them while placing the fork down.
Skyla’s heart did a happy dance, she could bet Mawar was speaking about Lawrence and was happy that they were getting on the same page. All they needed to do was communicate.
"Let it grow. Look for the signs in him too. How he looks at you, how he speaks. Does he give you the most importance when in a room full of people? I am sure a smart girl like you can figure it out," Huria winked and placed a spoonful of rice in her mouth.
"Yes, he does. Sometimes I find him stealing glances at me. It strengthens my belief that he feels the same for me as well." Mawar had her doubts like any girl did but there was this kindled hope in her heart too.
Skyla had a grin of understanding going on, with every second she was sure it was Lawrence. But she kept that information to herself. Huria on the other hand had a big mouth.
"Well, I can bet the rubies I have won from Zyair that it’s Lawrence you are talking about. He is a cutie pie and both of you will look adorable together. And I have seen how he looks at you, it’s that love-sick puppy look. Zyair used to give Skyla as well," Huria concluded with a click of her tongue.
Skyla slapped her head. Huria didn’t know when to keep her mouth shut. And how did she not see Rais always giving her the same look?
Mawar’s cheek tinted scarlet in embarrassment and she lowered her head.
"Yeah! It is. I thought no one noticed."
