Chapter 180: Rais’s Proposition
A week later Huria’s boss Rais called Zyair with a proposition that they should visit Falcon City for a business prospect. It was a den for rich people with exotic secluded beaches, islands, resorts and restaurants. They could easily disguise themselves there and mingle with tourists. Or they could book a secluded beach and enjoy it in peace.
Zyair and Skyla were mentally exhausted from all the trials and workload. Plus the constant pressure from the media and paparazzi following them. Trying to get a picture of them. Every time they stepped out of their places, they were afraid someone was following them.
He had opened up to Rais about it as both of them had grown close in the past few months and his suggestion made sense.
All Zyair needed was a few days away from all the mayhem, alone with Skyla so they could get to know each other better.
"That’s a good plan, I think we should head out tomorrow. I seriously need a break," Zyair confessed.
"Great, I will inform Huria. She will be thrilled," Rais answered with a hint of smile spreading on his face. He had been trying to pursue Huria for a while now but being her boss it didn’t make it easy. She kept this distance from him and didn’t seem to understand his advances. He was afraid she found him boring.
"Done, we will take my private jet. See you tomorrow then," Zyair informed him and the call ended soon after.
Rais placed the phone down and summoned Huria to his office. She arrived with all her bubbly energy and that precious smile of hers. She always filled up his vicinity with laughter and positive energy.
"Sir! You called for me?"
"Yes! Please, have a seat," Rais offered and she settled, placing her bag on the table.
"I had this business prospect in Falcon City so I thought we should explore it fully. Plus Zyair and Skyla could use a break from everything they have been through. So I was thinking we could make a business plus recreational trip. What do you think?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows at her. Her face transformed with a stupid shocking grin, her pupils dilated in excitement.
"Really? All four of us can finally take a vacation?" She was hardly able to contain her excitement.
"That’s the plan. Are you in?"
"Hell, yeah. I am all in. Falcon City is like a dream destination. A heart of fashion and lavish lifestyle." Huria was rubbing her hands together, excitement oozing from her every pore.
Rais’s heart somersaulted seeing her so excited. He had been trying to take her along for a business trip so he could spend some time with her.
To maybe hit a bar, get drunk or just go to a beach. The opportunity presented itself and he grabbed it.
"Then you better get packed because we will be hitting beaches
there too."
Huria didn’t need to be told twice. She took her leave so she could go home and pack and share the news with Skyla too. This was going to be so much fun.

The girls were extremely excited as they packed for the trip. They could finally get away from the suffocating atmosphere of Angel City. They even packed swimwear, it had been such a long time since Skyla had gone swimming in the sea. She had missed so much and now she wanted to make up for all the lost time.
"I can’t believe my boss proposed this and invited us all too," Huria exclaimed in excitement as she zipped her suitcase. freewёbnoνel.com
"He is always doing something for you Huria. No boss gives weeks of break like he did when I needed you. I think he is an amazing person," Skyla added, picking up her purse and placing the box of freshly baked cookies in it.
Kail was to drive them to the airport and they were ready.
"Yes, he is. I wonder why he is single," Huria snickered as both of them exited the room and finally the house.
"Maybe he is waiting for the right person." Skyla helped her lock the house. Both of them turned towards the car. Kail respectfully opened the door for them and they settled inside, heading to the airport.
They reached there soon and alighted the car. Kail took out their luggage and it was loaded while the ladies boarded the jet.
Zyair and Rais were waiting for them. Their eyes flickered seeing the girls. While Skyla had this shy smile seeing Zyair’s ardent eyes on her. Huria was completely unaware of how Rais watched her. Instead, she was taken aback by the interior of the luxurious jet.
"Heavens, this is The Thing. Tell me again why I am poor?" She exclaimed with that big mouth of hers making everyone chortle.
"Huria!" Skyla slightly chided her over-excited friend as they took their seats beside both men.
"Glad you like it, Miss Huria. I owe you this trip after everything you did for Skyla and me," Zyair stated with a broad smile on his hidden face. It made the sides of his eyes crinkle.
"I would do anything for my bestie. We are all just thankful he is gone from her life."
This was the general consensus among the four of them as the jet took off and they headed to their destination.
Skyla and Zyair couldn’t help but keep stealing glances at each other. Because of Rais, they were trying to be discreet.
Huria was occupied with her phone while Rais would occasionally look at her to see if she would give him a look. So far she hadn’t, she was completely oblivious of him and his erupting feelings.
Zyair was observing Rais too. He always spoke highly of Huria and now this trip where he had invited her, told him there was more than what met the eyes.
Once the girls got occupied discussing Falcon City and its famous places, Zyair turned and quietly asked Rais so only he could hear.
"Do you like Miss Huria?"
Rais’s wandering eyes flitted towards Zyair from Huria and he had this sheepish look as if being caught stealing a valuable possession.
"Is it that obvious?" He asked in a hushed astonished voice.
"Just a lucky guess. Recently, every time we have gathered, your eyes keep wavering towards her and they hold this softness aimed only for her," Zyair finished in a low tone, not wanting the girls to hear, they were still occupied on Huria’s phone deciding the places they wished to visit in Falcon City.
"She doesn’t even notice me like that. Only takes me as her annoying boss," Rais confided in a slightly hurt tone.
"Then make her notice you. Do something out of the blue for her. Surprise her, initiate more conversation with her. This trip is a solid opportunity so trust me and go for it," Zyair encouraged him and he nodded, understanding that this was indeed a golden opportunity.
"I will make the most of it. She won’t mind if I invite her alone to one or two places?" He hesitantly asked, clutching the armrest. frёeωebɳovel.com
"I don’t think so, show her how much you care. Women love that, she is bound to melt," Zyair winked at him and Rais finally smiled in satisfaction.
"Thank you for the advice. If you don’t mind me asking, those rumours about you and Miss Skyla. Is there any truth to them?"
Zyair slightly stiffened but kept his voice calm and controlled.
"We never had an affair as it was being portrayed but we have a complicated history and now she is rid of that devil. I want her in my life but we are taking it slowly. Her name had been dragged through the mud enough. No more."
