Chapter 126: A Visit To Meena Mansion
Amber’s face was bleached of every colour hearing what Zyair had said. She went to him in hopes that he would at least be open to having sex with her or she would threaten him but the tables seemed to have turned.
She fell to her knees and began to spurt out half-cooked apologies as Zyair called his security.
Once he was done he towered over her with his hands thrusted in his pockets. Gazing down at her as if one does at a mould which seemed to have grown on his office floor.
"You see Miss Amber. I don’t fend well when people threaten me. As for my reputation, it will remain intact because I don’t touch filth like you. You, on the other hand, will never be hired by another company. I will ensure that."
He scoffed with rage coursing through his veins like molten lava.
"Noo, please. Sorry, I made a mistake. Please, forgive me," she begged, kneeling in front of him and bending over. Tears trailed down her face. But Zyair had no tolerance or remorse for women like her. They were trouble and wouldn’t stop wrecking anything or anyone in their ambition to get to the top.
"You so remind me of Icarus, bringing your downfall by your overzealous ambition. I am so utterly disappointed. A word of advice, never threaten someone without solid proof."
His door knocked.
"Enter!" He authoritatively ordered and the security team entered, along with Lawrence and Gairo.
"What happened?" Lawrence and Gairo rushed to his side as Zyair flicked his fingers.
"Get her out of my sight. Call the police and hand her over. I will brief them and hand over the evidence of what she did." freeweɓnovel.cѳm
The security team moved swiftly as Amber thrashed, cried and begged to be given one more chance. But she was dragged out as Lawrence and Gairo watched in horror. Once the door closed Gairo asked.
"What did she do?"
Zyair had turned towards his window and stared outside with a blank expression on his face and a murderous glint in his eyes.
"Lawrence check the security footage of my room and make a copy to be handed over to the Police. I didn’t want to involve Miss Skyla but we don’t have an option right now."
The camera in Zyair’s office had live footage which only went to Zyair’s laptop. So Lawrence quickly turned it on and hit the play button. As they watched, the horror etched on their faces intensified.
"She tried to dirty Miss Skyla’s name. I can forgive anything but I won’t forgive that. Make sure she gets the maximum sentence and rots in jail. Ruin her credibility and if she does get out, I don’t want her getting hired anywhere to slander someone else’s name."
Zyair announced with disgust, still recovering from the slight shock that the despicable woman tried to pin rape on him and infidelity on Skyla.
"It will be done, Sir. Don’t worry, no harm will come to you or Miss Skyla’s reputation," Gairo assured him, speaking from all of his wisdom.
He had seen his fair share of such cases where women tried to falsely accuse men on high posts just to climb to the top or win favours.
"That’s why I don’t hire women, it’s always a scandal. Post Kail outside my door and tell him only both of you or Miss Skyla are allowed in my office from now on. I don’t want anyone near me. I am done."
Kail was one of Zyair’s bodyguards. The lack of any emotions in his tone was terrifying. Women had tried similar tactics on him previously as well and he always clamped up and his mood would sour for weeks.
"I will do that, leave everything to us. Don’t worry," Lawrence tried to reassure him. The fact that Skyla’s name had been involved was the most concerning part for him.
The Police soon arrived and Zyair gave his statement. He informed them about his gynophobia and the rules in the company that no woman is to come near him. He also explained that Amber had fabricated lies just to get her way.
Zyair asked for a restraining order against her so she would never invade his personal space again.
By the time Zyair was done with all the formalities, he was mentally tired and emotionally a wreck. All he wanted to do was just go and hug Skyla and somehow sate this brewing emotional storm inside of him.
Handing over the charge to Gairo and Lawrence, Zyair headed home early.

As promised, Skyla got ready in the afternoon and waited for her mother-in-law to come pick her up. She had asked Skyla to accompany her to an afternoon tea and dinner at her friend’s house.
Amsilia picked her up from Huria’s place and both of them headed off.
Skyla didn’t know much about Amsilia’s friend, other than that she was also some rich lady with whom Amsilia had recently collaborated and started running a boutique. She had been so caught up in her work that she hadn’t been able to accompany her mother-in-law to visit her new establishment.
They reached outside a majestic mansion. It showed off a majestic facade adorned with intricately carved columns. Vines of a multitude of flowers crawled on the columns and left side of the mansion.
Vast gardens showcased a variety of vibrant flowers and hedges.
The exterior of the mansion had been crafted from warm sandstone, radiating timeless elegance.
Expansive windows but of antic style offered panoramic views of the outside.
"Wow, what a beautiful mansion," Skyla exclaimed, taking in the beauty of this place.
"Indeed, she is rich and it shows." Amsilia winked at her daughter-in-law and she giggled.
The huge iron doors were opened by a guard and they were welcomed inside. Meena was waiting for them with a bright smile as they exited their car.
"Welcome to Meena Mansion." She graciously opened her arms and Amsilia rushed to her friend. Both of them hugged like they were meeting after years. When in reality they had met in the morning.
The woman seemed vaguely familiar to Skyla but she couldn’t place where she had seen her. Skyla stood at the side with a charming smile, letting them have this moment.
Soon, Amsilia made the introductions.
"Meena, this is my daughter-in-law, Skyla. But she is more like my daughter." freeweɓnøvel.com
Skyla had adorned a white frock today with tiny red flowers sprinkled on it. Red low-heeled shoes and a red hat. Her hair were pleated in an elegant braid.
Meena was impressed with the poised lady, Zyair always spoke so very highly of her. But she didn’t want to make her uncomfortable by introducing herself as her boss’s mother.
"Hello! It’s very nice to meet you," Skyla spoke so very politely and offered her hand.
Meena shook it with equal enthusiasm and replied.
"Likewise, young lady. I have heard so much about you. Let’s continue over tea."
She guided them towards the stylish wooden gazebo where the tea arrangements had been made. Fluffy cushions and floral decor offered a warm splendid look.
The ladies settled down and both of them praised Meena’s beautiful house. They were still talking when a car sped inside and screeched to a halt in the parking area.
The trio hurriedly glanced in the direction when a tall man emerged from it wearing a mask and announced rather solemnly.
"Mom! I am home."
