Chapter 961: Chapter 961: Incredulous
Willow Grant ignored the urging of the people lining up behind her and bit into the dumpling.
In the next moment, Willow Grant’s body became rigid.
An unbelievably exquisite taste spread from the tip of her tongue throughout her mouth.
Though the dumpling seemed simple enough, the flavor’s richness exceeded her imagination. Moreover, the sauce was incredibly thick and savory, making her want to eat more.
Willow Grant had to admit these were the best dumplings she’d ever eaten.
No, to be precise, this was the most delicious food she had ever eaten.
In the scorching heat, one would think piping hot dumplings would be hard to eat, yet how could they be... so tasty?
"Willow Grant." Summer Monroe knocked on the countertop with her two knuckles, reminding her, "You bought it already, let others come, don’t block their way."
But Willow Grant couldn’t hear what Summer Monroe said at all; her mind was only filled with the rich and wonderful taste in her mouth.
"Willow Grant!"
Summer Monroe raised her voice and shouted, and finally Willow Grant snapped back to reality.
She met Summer Monroe’s gaze with disbelief, feeling envious to the point of tears.
How could Summer Monroe reach such heights even in making dumplings?
Was it possible she was really inferior to Summer in everything?
"Are you leaving or not?" Summer Monroe frowned and said, "If you don’t leave, I’ll have someone escort you out."
Willow Grant bit her lip and hurriedly put down the bowl, leaving in a somewhat awkward manner.
"What a waste!" Victor Ford looked regretfully at the bowl with only one dumpling eaten, then smilingly asked Summer Monroe, "Can I cut the line and have another bowl?"
"No." Summer Monroe said professionally, "You’ve already had three bowls. Give others a chance. I don’t have many bowls left."
Victor Ford looked regretful as he walked away holding his bowl, which was now empty of dumplings, leaving only the broth.
The broth was also delicious, made from pork ribs, white like fish soup, fresh yet not greasy. He planned to take it back and savor it slowly from a cup.
Just as Willow Grant had left, Susan Stone walked over.
She really had just gone to the bathroom, but since it was after school time, all the bathrooms were crowded, and she had to wait for a long time.
However, Susan Stone didn’t go directly to Willow Grant’s stall but came to Summer Monroe’s instead.
Seeing the large crowd in front of the stall, Susan Stone was taken aback.
Just dumplings, yet so many people eating them?
At that moment, Summer Monroe’s voice rang out: "Everyone, I’m very sorry, the dumplings are sold out. Thank you all for waiting. Cece, please take everyone for some milk tea."
"Alright. Those who lined up but didn’t get anything, please follow me." Cece waved, and the crowd reluctantly left one by one.
As the crowd dispersed, Summer Monroe immediately saw Susan Stone.
She quickly called out "Mrs. Stone" and then brought a bowl of dumplings over to Susan Stone.
"Mrs. Stone, I saved a bowl of dumplings for you. I made them myself. Please try them."
Susan Stone showed a reluctant expression, nodded hesitantly, and accepted the bowl of dumplings.
Yet when she looked up, she saw several people who hadn’t left staring directly at her—in fact, staring at the bowl in her hands.
Susan Stone asked, puzzled, "What’s wrong?"
The students shook their heads, and after saying "You are so lucky," they left with disappointment on their faces.
Susan Stone was even more bewildered, but didn’t pay much mind, scooping up a dumpling with her spoon and elegantly blowing on it a few times before her lips.
