Chapter 959: Chapter 959: No Dumplings for You
Willow Grant originally didn’t want Summer Monroe to know she’d come to her stall, lest Summer mock her.
But when those classmates spoke like that, Willow immediately felt displeased.
She started speaking, "Is this your home? Why should I leave just because you told me to?"
The classmate hadn’t expected Willow to actually stay and not leave, and her face instantly darkened.
"This isn’t my home, but it’s right in front of my goddess’s stall. Don’t cause trouble here, or I’ll call a teacher!"
Willow sneered coldly, "Then go call, what good would it do to have a teacher come? Is there a school rule that says I’m not allowed to be here? Besides, you yourself said this is a stall, can’t I come to buy something?"
"Buy something?" The classmate looked her up and down suspiciously, "Are you sure you’re just here to buy something, not to cause trouble?"
Willow gritted her teeth hard, "Am I really that kind of person in your eyes?"
"Aren’t you?"
"Of course not! I’m here to buy something!" Willow clenched her fist and squeezed directly into the crowd.
Finally, she saw Summer Monroe.
Summer was busy nonstop at the stall, her smooth forehead covered in sweat, which trickled down her swan-like neck into her shirt, exuding an indescribable allure and charm.
This face was precisely what Willow Grant despised the most.
Willow forced herself not to look at Summer’s face and instead lowered her gaze to the stall.
She saw that Summer’s stall was much larger than hers, with clean counters neatly stacked with rows of disposable lunchboxes.
Summer had just heated up the oil when she poured a ladle of hot oil over the sauce, the sizzling sound was pleasant, and the rich aroma was overwhelming.
Next, Summer scooped the cooked dumplings ladle by ladle into bowls, sprinkling a bit of chopped scallions.
Simple boiled dumplings managed to awaken Willow’s cravings.
It must be because she hadn’t eaten lunch yet, which made her desire to eat.
Just then, Summer finally noticed Willow.
Her cool beautiful eyes narrowed slightly, a faint cold glint emanating, like the snow on Tianshan Mountain, causing chills down one’s spine.
"What are you here for?" Summer asked coldly, her expression equally frosty.
Willow gritted her teeth, extremely displeased with Summer’s gaze.
That gaze felt like she was looking at an ant, very irritating.
But since she was already there, she decided to buy a portion to try, and if the taste was bad, she could factually tell the people lining up that Summer’s dumplings were all show and terribly bad in taste.
Driving away a few of Summer’s customers wouldn’t hurt either.
Thinking of this, Willow lifted her chin and spoke, "Why else would I come? Of course, to buy dumplings. How much for one serving, I’ll take one."
Summer guessed Willow’s intentions, but no one could find fault with her dumplings.
Just as she was about to speak, Bella interjected—
"We’re not selling our dumplings to you! Leave!"
Bella remembered Willow, if it weren’t for her, those two girls wouldn’t have come to cause a scene at the school gate, even bringing the police, almost causing trouble for Miss Monroe.
Upon hearing Bella’s words, Willow smirked and questioned, "Why not sell to me? Is it because your dumplings are terrible, and you’re afraid I’ll spread the word, making everyone else hesitant to buy?"
"You—"
Bella was about to speak when Summer intervened, "Bella, go get busy, I’ve got this."
Saying this, she met Willow’s gaze and tilted her head, "See? There are many people, if you really want to buy dumplings, go queue at the back!"
