Chapter 958: Chapter 958: Willow Grant Comes to Make Trouble
"Summer Monroe? That genius who got full marks in all four subjects?"
"Yeah, yeah, go and try her dumplings, maybe you’ll catch some of her brilliance."
"Why didn’t you say it earlier! Let’s go, let’s go." The student put down Willow Grant’s cookies and prepared to leave.
Willow Grant quickly grabbed the student’s hand and said, "What’s so great about dumplings? It’s such hot weather, why eat dumplings? You’d be better off buying my dessert and pairing it with an iced Americano..."
"No thanks, your stuff is too pricey. If I want coffee, I’d go to a coffee shop." The student shook free from Willow’s hand, grabbed the hand of another student who also wanted to buy cookies, and said, "Let’s hurry and get the dumplings. Maybe we can also pass the Britton University common entrance exam tonight!"
"Right! Let’s go!"
In the blink of an eye, Willow Grant’s only two customers ran off.
It’s bad enough they left, but to go specifically to Summer Monroe’s stall? How could the Grant family mother and daughter be in a good mood?
Willow Grant’s face turned instantly dark.
She gritted her teeth and angrily said to Mrs. Grant, "Mom, look at them!"
Mrs. Grant also appeared to be gritting her teeth, angrily saying, "I wondered why we suddenly had no customers. Turns out that little brat stole them all! She’s so cunning!"
Willow Grant anxiously said, "Mom, what do we do now? Just watch Summer take away all our customers?"
"Don’t worry." Mrs. Grant comforted Willow Grant, saying, "You heard them, they’re here for Summer’s grades. Can dumplings really be that tasty? At most, they’ll share a bowl, and once the hype dies down, customers will come back. Trust your mom’s cooking skills; once the reputation builds up, they’ll flock over and buy."
Willow nodded, though her heart remained uneasy.
"Relax, Willow." Mrs. Grant reassured confidently, "Even if she truly excels in academics and scored the full marks on her own, can her culinary skills beat your mom, a seasoned homemaker?"
Willow forced a smile and said, "I’ll go see if I can draw in some customers."
"Alright." Mrs. Grant nodded, "Remember to come back soon. Your Mrs. Stone will probably be back soon. Impress her a bit."
At the mention of Susan Stone, Willow’s expression dimmed.
She tried hard to wear a smile, left the stall, and went to attract customers.
However, as she walked, she found herself standing unwittingly in front of Summer Monroe’s stall when she looked up.
Even though she stood in front of the stall, with the crowd, she was still about four or five meters away from the front line and couldn’t see Summer’s face at all.
Willow felt jealousy and hatred inside. When did Summer’s stall attract so many people?
Not long ago, it was deserted, with basically no one there.
On the other hand, her stall, despite occupying the prime spot, had not a single customer.
Just why... why could Summer do everything better than her?
It was at this moment that someone noticed Willow.
"Isn’t that Willow Grant? Why is she here in front of my goddess’s stall? She better not be here to make trouble!"
"Haha, I just saw her stall earlier, probably empty, so she’s here out of envy, jealousy, and hatred."
"Don’t let her cause trouble; everyone quick, chase her away!"
Most people at Summer’s stall knew about the situation between Summer and Willow, so they immediately recognized Willow and bore great hostility towards her.
A few fearless ones walked directly to the confused-looking Willow and said, "Hey, could you leave here?"
