Chapter 63: Kill me<

Raven

The sound of him peeing reached my ears.

So did the smell.

I stayed perfectly still behind the tree, barely breathing as I waited for him to finish and head back to the three men he had been with.

The sound stopped.

He was done.

But instead of leaving, he stayed there.

And I didn’t dare peek.

Didn’t dare risk him seeing me.

Birds chirped softly in the distance, their light, careless sounds clashing with the violent pounding of my heart. Every second stretched painfully as I stood there, frozen.

No matter how hard I tried to steady myself, I could still hear him breathing.

Too close.

Too loud.

Why wasn’t he leaving?

"Are you sleeping with your cock?" one of his friends snapped from behind him, the others snickering under their breath.

The mockery seemed to irritate him instantly.

"I’m cleaning it for yer mother!" he snapped back.

I heard the rustling of clothes, followed by footsteps.

He was leaving.

But even then, I didn’t move.

Didn’t look.

I waited.

Counted the seconds in my head.

Only when the footsteps sounded far enough away did I slowly lean to the side and peek from behind the tree—

And froze.

My heart slammed violently against my chest as our eyes met.

He hadn’t gone far at all.

He had only quieted his steps. ƒreewebɳovel.com

"A woman!" he gasped, his expression filled with disbelief.

My eyes widened in fear and shock.

I scrambled away from the tree, ready to run.

"I won’t hurt yer! I won’t!" he said quickly, lifting his hands as if to calm me.

But the next second—

"A woman! There’s a woman here!" he shouted.

My blood ran cold.

I heard the others respond immediately, their voices loud as they rushed toward us.

They came fast.

And they came armed.

I backed away quickly, my feet unsteady beneath me.

Running back wasn’t an option.

That would take me south.

Toward the pack.

"I want no trouble!" I said, my voice shaking as I continued to retreat, trying to angle my body so I could break toward the west.

"Please..." I begged.

One of the men reached us first and stopped abruptly, his eyes widening as he took me in.

"She’s beautiful! Is she a spirit?" he gasped.

He meant it.

I could see it in his face.

But the ugliest of them stepped forward immediately, his expression turning sharp and possessive.

"I found her! She’s mine to claim by right!" he snapped.

Before anything could escalate further, the oldest among them—his thick black beard making him look even more intimidating—spoke up.

"We’ll share before we kill her. She’s clearly not human. Have you seen her in the village?" he said, his tone cold. "Left to me, we should kill her right now."

Fear wrapped tightly around my chest.

I backed away faster.

"I—I’m human!" I said quickly. "There’s a village to the west, but I ran! I—there’s a man who wants me, he forces me... I’m... I’m with child!"

The words tumbled out in desperation.

Surely they had a god.

Surely they wouldn’t commit such a sin.

But the moment the words left my mouth, their expressions changed.

All of them.

Like something foul had touched their tongues.

Their gazes dropped to my body, slow and assessing.

"A slave running from her master," one muttered.

"...A pregnant slave," another added, disgust clear in his voice.

"...She’s pretty," a third said. "Her child would be just as good. The price we could get for her spawns... it would be great."

My stomach churned.

Anger rose sharply, cutting through the fear.

I looked at them—really looked at them—and saw nothing human in their faces.

No sympathy.

No hesitation.

Nothing but greed and cruelty.

Their eyes told me everything.

Something to be used... and discarded.

Fury burned through me as tears filled my eyes.

I was weak.

I only had one strength potion left.

And there were four of them.

Armed.

My chest tightened painfully as the realization sank in.

I had escaped one hell—

Only to walk straight into another.

My vision blurred as they moved closer, their voices overlapping as they discussed me like I wasn’t even there.

"...Before we do that, can we at least satisfy our cocks now? It would be annoying for her master to arrive and interrupt," one said.

"Relax. Even if this so-called master appeared, we’d kill him. She’s ours right now," another added.

I wiped my eyes.

And ran.

I didn’t care about direction anymore.

Didn’t care about distance.

All that mattered was putting as much space between me and them as possible.

But I barely took a few steps—

Before something heavy slammed into my back.

The force drove me straight to the ground, knocking the air from my lungs.

The ugliest one landed on top of me.

"You guys watch! I’ll go first!" he snapped.

His hands grabbed at my clothes, ripping the bottom of my skirt apart as he pinned me down.

I screamed.

Fought.

Tried to push him off.

But he struck me.

Hard enough to split my lip open.

"Why do you have to be first?" one of the others complained.

"...Just let him. It’s not like it’s her first time," another replied.

"Hurry up. The longer you take, the longer this drags. We still have to take her back to the village before returning to the forest, according to the king’s orders."

"Felling trees isn’t going to happen by itself."

Their voices blurred into noise.

Meaningless.

Distant.

All I could hear was my own screaming.

Feel his hands on me.

Tearing.

Grabbing.

Breaking.

I cried, my voice raw as tears streamed down my face.

His grip tightened as he forced my legs apart, ripping away what remained of my clothes.

I cursed him.

Over and over again.

But worse—

I cursed myself.

For being so weak.

Even the smallest werewolf would have been able to transform.

"Kill me!" I screamed.

He only pressed me down harder, shoving my underwear aside and forcing himself between my thighs as he laughed.

"...With that face? Never!" he swore.
