Chapter 84: Chapter 80: Hot Search 3

"In that case, I suggest you take a look. Looks like things are about to change drastically."

Su Yu glanced at Su Xing, then turned his gaze toward the door, lost in thought. Su Xing didn’t mind; he simply took out his phone and started tapping on the trending topics popping up in his notifications.

[DERANGED KILLER AT CANG CITY SOUTH STATION, SUSPECTED OF POSSESSING SUPERHUMAN PHYSIQUE!!!]

[RUINED TRAIN STATION RESTORED IN AN INSTANT; VICTIM ASKS: "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS HAPPENING?!"]

[XIA COUNTRY GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES EXTRAORDINARY BEING WEBSITE. IS THE SPIRITUAL QI REVIVAL REAL?]

[SCHOOLS NATIONWIDE BEGIN ESTABLISHING EXTRAORDINARY CLASSES; POLICE DEPARTMENTS INVESTIGATING EVERY RESIDENT’S SEQUENCER APTITUDE DOOR-TO-DOOR!]

...

The flood of trending topics left Su Xing stunned. He hadn’t expected the world to change so drastically while he was asleep, but on second thought, it was understandable.

The commotion the Corpse High Priest had caused was simply too great. The resulting information leaks had made many citizens question the truth of the incident. As the saying goes, it’s better to channel a flood than to dam it. If they couldn’t hide it anymore, they might as well just go public.

Su Xing could understand the special organization’s decision. He just wondered if it would affect his own life. And so, Su Xing asked:

"Yu, do you think announcing the Spiritual Qi revival will affect us?"

Su Yu thought for a moment, then said:

"It will definitely impact the organization. After all, this brings us out of the shadows and into the public eye. There will be a lot of hassles to deal with now that it’s public."

"But it shouldn’t affect your life much, big bro. With our presence, there’s no way the police conducting aptitude checks will come investigating the Sword Hall."

"On top of that, Elder Li decided yesterday that the organization will no longer send other Sequencers near the Sword Hall. So, big bro, you might even have more freedom in the future."

"And there’s one more important thing."

Su Yu paused for a moment, then said with a playful tone:

"Because the Extraordinary Being website clearly mentions four types of Extraordinary Beings: Sequencers, Martial Artists, Spiritualists—in other words, Cultivators—and Confucian Scholars."

"In the future, more and more people might want to become Martial Artists. A Sword Hall like yours will get more and more business, big bro. It’ll be easier for you to save up for a wife."

Su Yu was only joking, as he assumed an expert of his big brother’s caliber wouldn’t care about money.

What he didn’t know was that to Su Xing, a booming Sword Hall business meant a never-ending supply of Sword Dao Points!

In Xia Country, the Sword Dao was considered a very niche sport. Not many people were willing to learn swordsmanship, so Su Xing’s rate of acquiring Sword Dao Points hadn’t improved much.

But after the Spiritual Qi revival, everything would be completely different.

A whole bunch of people who hadn’t awakened a Sequence would surely want to see if they could become Martial Artists by practicing things like boxing or swordsmanship.

This would not only let him earn more Sword Dao Points, it would also increase the probability of encountering a Sword Disciple acknowledged by the system.

At this thought, Su Xing couldn’t help but break into a smile. From this perspective, the announcement of the Spiritual Qi revival really had no downside for him.

’This is nothing but good news!’

It took a moment for Su Xing’s smile to fade. He then immediately opened the Extraordinary Being website that had been announced in the news.

The site opened to a vibrant national flag, followed by a warning. The gist of it was: don’t use your newfound power to break the law.

Su Xing closed the warning, and what greeted his eyes were the four classifications of Extraordinary Beings, their realm divisions, and news about various recent events.

Su Xing briefly browsed the recent news, which was mostly just rehashing the same old topics.

After all, the special organization couldn’t possibly release all the information from before the Spiritual Qi revival announcement, so the news was limited to the events at the train station.

Su Xing browsed for a moment, then suddenly noticed a "Crisis Order" that the special organization had just posted.

Su Xing double-checked that the posting time was "moments ago" before clicking on it. Two portraits, one male and one female, appeared on the screen.

The man was heavily muscled with dark skin. Below his portrait was the word "Collapse."

The woman had short blue hair and a slender figure. Her face was blurry and indistinct. Below her portrait was the word "Space."

Below the two portraits,

was a line of text from Li Yu:

"These two are High Priests of the Spiritual Sect. All citizens are advised to flee immediately upon sighting them and then call the police."

"We repeat: if you encounter them, flee immediately. Flee immediately. Both are at Tier Four Peak and are extremely powerful."

Su Xing suddenly realized that with the special organization operating in the open, they could be much more direct. It would become much easier to acquire information.

He wondered if ordinary citizens would panic now that they knew of the Spiritual Sect’s existence, but that wasn’t a problem for Su Xing to worry about.

"These must be the two remaining High Priests of the Spiritual Sect, then?"

Su Yu was also looking at the website. Su Xing heard him, turned his head to look, and asked:

"Yu, what do you think?"

"’What do I think? With my eyes,’ Su Yu snarked. ’Other people might be afraid of accidentally running into these two, but for us, it’s inevitable.’"

"Those two will come for us sooner or later. It’s just a matter of time."

"Haha, true enough."

Hearing Su Yu’s words, Su Xing smiled. His gaze drifted toward Liu Chang, who was hidden outside, and he murmured:

’I still have to get stronger.’

According to Su Yu, Liu Chang was still the only one guarding the Sword Hall. The special organization had originally decided to send another Tier Four Peak.

But Li Yu had said something that made the special organization change its mind, and they ultimately decided to let Liu Chang continue guarding the Sword Hall alone.

Liu Chang was naturally happy with this arrangement.

But Su Xing wasn’t as pleased. He knew full well that the Spiritual Sect had too many tricks up their sleeves. A single Tier Four Peak protector wasn’t enough for him to be able to just lay back and relax.

’At this rate, who knows when I’ll have to step in and save the day myself.’
