Chapter 105: Chapter 98: The Four-in-One Collapse

In Ningshui City, inside an abandoned chemical plant.

In a room on the basement level, Catastrophe stood by the bed, silently gazing at the moonlight outside. Beside him were several high school students tied to chairs.

Some of the girls had struggled violently; their bodies were covered in sweat, and their clothes had become disheveled and somewhat transparent. But Catastrophe had no interest in any of this.

He just kept staring at the moon outside, his vacant eyes suggesting he was lost in thought.

After a long while, he finally turned his head to look at Lu Anning, who was much calmer than the others, and said with a smile:

"Do you think some mysterious master will come to save you?"

Lu Anning didn’t speak.

She just kept staring at the man before her.

When she was being tied up, this man had been sitting in the car. As a Martial Artist, Lu Anning’s intuition had keenly sensed the immense threat hidden within him.

This threat was far more intense than that of the Thousand-Change High Priest or the Corpse High Priest. It made Lu Anning realize she would be no match for him if she fought back, so she hadn’t rashly chosen to resist, opting instead for a tactic of feigned compliance.

Catastrophe seemed accustomed to Lu Anning being a closed book. Seeing that she didn’t reply, he just said to himself:

"Sigh, my daughter is only a little younger than you. If possible, I’d really rather not have to harm you girls."

"A pity, but the mission requires it. If I have to kill you later, I’m very sorry."

Seeing that Lu Anning still had no intention of replying, Catastrophe scoffed, "Tch," then suddenly revealed a smile and murmured:

"The mysterious master didn’t show up, but a little space rat from the special organization did."

The moment his voice fell,

a spatial rift instantly appeared in the factory.

Liu Chang stepped out of the spatial rift, his gaze locking onto Catastrophe and the long row of high school students behind him. At the sight, his eyes sharpened, and he said in a heavy voice:

"The Spiritual Sect. Are you in the human trafficking business now?"

"Human trafficking? I have no interest in that, of course."

Catastrophe spoke with a hint of nonchalance, flexing his fingers as he talked. He paused for a moment, then suddenly continued:

"However, I’m much more interested in killing you!"

As he finished speaking, Catastrophe’s figure abruptly vanished.

Liu Chang’s pupils constricted. He had clearly sensed the aura of a Space Sequence, which caught him so off guard that he couldn’t react in time. Catastrophe slammed a fist directly into his chest.

The power of the "Catastrophe" Sequence instantly ravaged his chest, sending Liu Chang flying back several meters to crash into a wall.

He violently spat out a mouthful of blood as his figure instantly vanished from the wall, reappearing on the ground. He was hunched over, one hand clutching his chest, clearly injured by the punch.

Liu Chang looked shocked, his voice hoarse as he asked:

"How is that possible... You’ve awakened a Space Sequence?"

"As expected of the number two genius of the special organization. Oh, I almost forgot, it should be number three now... To think I didn’t kill you outright with a single punch!"

Catastrophe’s tone was filled with disdain.

Liu Chang felt deeply insulted. A wave of irritation surged up from within him. His eyes narrowed, and two words escaped through his clenched teeth: "Damn it!"

Suddenly, Liu Chang launched a counterattack. His right hand was covered in a layer of faint blue Sequence energy. With a BANG, Liu Chang instantly vanished.

The "Spatial Ghost" Sequence’s greatest advantages over other space-type Sequences were its long range and high speed.

Therefore, Liu Chang, who possessed "Spatial Ghost," moved through space far faster than the Catastrophe High Priest, who possessed "Spatial Items"!

In the blink of an eye, Liu Chang instantly appeared in front of Catastrophe, feinted a punch, then appeared directly behind him, roaring:

"Go to hell!"

His hand was covered in the Sequence energy of "Spatial Ghost." As long as he touched his opponent’s heart, he could instantly teleport it somewhere else.

This technique was a fatal finishing move against any Sequencer. Once you lost your heart, you would die, no matter what kind of Extraordinary Being you were!

It was just that the last few times he had faced the Corpse High Priest, this technique had been severely limited, but now...

BAM!

Liu Chang only felt a sharp pain in his fist.

Looking closely, he saw that at some unknown point, the Catastrophe High Priest’s back had turned into an unbreakable Thorn Shield. His own fist was now covered in tiny, dense holes.

This made Liu Chang’s expression change drastically, and his figure instantly vanished.

’That’s the Thousand-Change Sequence.’

Liu Chang’s figure reappeared where he’d been standing. His expression was grim, his eyes locked on Catastrophe as he thought to himself:

’The Catastrophe High Priest possesses the Thousand-Change, Space, and his own Sequence... could he also have the Corpse Sequence?’

At this thought, his expression soured even more.

As if to confirm Liu Chang’s thoughts, the Catastrophe High Priest began to slowly emit a faint green sequence aura. This completely extinguished any thought Liu Chang had of fighting him one-on-one.

Liu Chang was indeed arrogant and conceited, but when faced with the choice between getting beaten to death and running for his life, he knew how to choose wisely.

Right now, he had only one thought: get out of here, report back to the organization, and let Li Yu deal with this guy.

"Trying to run?!"

Sensing the escalating Sequence energy from Liu Chang, Catastrophe reacted quickly. Almost simultaneously, both he and Liu Chang tore open spatial rifts and vanished.

But it wasn’t long before,

he had been completely left in the dust by Liu Chang, stranded somewhere unknown.

The speed of "Spatial Ghost" was simply too fast; he couldn’t keep up with his opponent’s rhythm at all, which made Catastrophe’s expression darken.

Catastrophe had acquired the "Spatial Items" Sequence too recently. He had not yet mastered the item-crafting techniques of the Space High Priest.

Therefore, he had no way to use various items to restrict Liu Chang; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been shaken off so easily.

...

On a wide road, Su Xing rode a small electric scooter, pushing it to its limits all the way to the iron gate of the chemical plant.

Su Xing stepped off the scooter, his expression heavy. He stared at the chemical plant before him, but in his mind, he was calculating how long it had taken him to get here from Cang City.

Even taking all the dangerous shortcuts, it had still taken over an hour. After so long, he had no idea what condition Lu Anning was in, which made Su Xing feel more than a little agitated.

Lu Anning was, after all, his apprentice. Although they hadn’t established this relationship long ago, and it wasn’t as if they had deep feelings for each other, she was definitely one of his own.

Having one of his own people snatched from school by the Spiritual Sect made Su Xing feel like a young couple about to get a hotel room, only for the girlfriend to suddenly get her period.

It was an indescribable mix of nausea and frustration.
