Chapter 2136: Chapter 2337: An Awkward Scene

Hao Jian knew what Li Weiwei’s car looked like; he had ridden in it before. Maybe he had chosen not to see it, but when he came in, her car was clearly parked in the designated parking area of the restaurant, but he didn’t seem to notice it and just walked in directly.

Li Weiwei still looked drunk, needing Hao Jian’s assistance to walk, and he helped her into the car. While being helped, she was guarded against Hao Jian, because of past events, to prevent this "Casanova" from taking advantage of her while she was drunk.

In response, Hao Jian just smiled; he’s not a bad guy, why be so on guard? If he wanted to, she was so drunk that he could have made a move whenever he liked.

He smiled and started the engine with the keys. However, at that moment, Li Weiwei looked at him with a puzzled expression and asked, "Can you drive?"

Hao Jian laughed and said, "Of course, I’ve had my license for a long time, how could I not be able to drive?"

If he couldn’t drive, how would he send her home? He thought Li Weiwei was just confused from drinking. As for his driver’s license, he didn’t even remember how long it had been since he got it; he had driven much more advanced vehicles than this small car, so this was no problem at all.

But Li Weiwei still looked at him with doubt and asked, "You’ve got a driver’s license? How old are you? Aren’t you supposed to be eighteen to take the test?"

Hao Jian laughed, knowing what she was puzzled about. He was currently pretending to be a high school freshman, and a high school freshman couldn’t possibly be eighteen. Without being eighteen, you couldn’t get a license, so her puzzlement was normal. But he wasn’t a real high school freshman.

He laughed and said, "Who said I’m not eighteen?"

"You’re eighteen?" Li Weiwei looked puzzled; an average high school freshman is only sixteen or seventeen, how could he be eighteen? And from the way he talked about having the license for some time, he couldn’t be just eighteen.

Hao Jian just laughed and explained, "I repeated a year, can’t I?"

Li Weiwei retorted, "You repeated a grade? Why didn’t I see that on your records!"

Hao Jian had spoken without thinking, but when Li Weiwei questioned him, he realized he had let something slip. Li Weiwei was his homeroom teacher and had the records that Liang Yuwei had faked for him, so she would know whether he had repeated a grade or not. His slip of the tongue had made Li Weiwei suspicious.

"I repeated in elementary school, I didn’t study hard and my thoughts couldn’t keep up, is that not okay?" He quickly came up with an excuse. His records began from middle school and were brief about elementary school, so saying he repeated a grade shouldn’t be a problem.

Indeed, once Li Weiwei heard that, she stopped questioning him, thinking what Hao Jian said was right.

She looked enlightened as she glanced at Hao Jian. No wonder when she first met him, she felt he lacked the immaturity of his peers and seemed more mature. This always left her puzzled, thinking Hao Jian had a maturity that others at his age didn’t have. Even standing in front of him, she felt more like a child, while Hao Jian seemed more like an adult.

Realizing this, she understood the situation and said "Oh" softly, then lowered her voice and ignored Hao Jian. Her head was spinning a bit; she supported it with her hand, trying to get comfortable, but the alcohol was kicking in, and she felt a bit uncomfortable.

When drinking, one just wants to drink more, but after getting drunk and dizzy, that’s when the regret settles in, thinking one shouldn’t have drunk.

"Bang! Bang!" This was before the car even started; Li Weiwei suddenly banged on the door loudly and said, "Open the door quickly, I’m going to throw up."

Seeing the situation, Hao Jian immediately opened the door, and Li Weiwei rushed out, holding onto the car door and vomiting, looking extremely uncomfortable. After throwing up, she continued to vomit more, seemingly emptying everything she had eaten.

At this moment, Hao Jian took a few tissues from the car and handed them to her, saying, "Wipe your mouth."

Li Weiwei glared at him, took the tissue from his hand, wiped her mouth, and then got back into the car. Hao Jian didn’t say anything; he also got back into the car.

Next, Hao Jian started the car and drove toward a convenience store. He left Li Weiwei in the car, went into the convenience store to buy some items, then returned and tossed a bunch of stuff onto Li Weiwei, who was sitting in the passenger seat.

"Here! Eat something to sober up, and put this on your forehead so you won’t feel so dizzy. Don’t go home smelling like alcohol and stumbling around; what would your parents think if they saw you?" Hao Jian said while starting the car and driving toward Li Weiwei’s house. He knew where she lived from before, so he didn’t need to ask.

Li Weiwei took the items. When Hao Jian first threw them at her, she rolled her eyes at him, but after he said those words, she was at a loss for words and somewhat touched. Looking at the items Hao Jian gave her and then glancing at Hao Jian,

Hao Jian was already focused on driving. She had always thought of him as extravagant and unreliable, but for a moment, seeing the thoughtful preparations he had made for her and his serious demeanor while driving, she felt that Hao Jian had changed from what she used to think of him.

She couldn’t help but glance a few more times, which Hao Jian noticed. He smiled and said in his usual manner, "I’m just being attentive for no reason; don’t look so touched."

Li Weiwei was a bit moved, but upon hearing Hao Jian’s words, her attitude shifted abruptly. She thought he was finally being serious for once, but it didn’t take long for him to reveal his true self. Her gaze toward Hao Jian changed.

In anger, she prepared to punch Hao Jian. But Hao Jian laughed; when she swung, he sensed it coming and quickly dodged, planning to let her hit the air. However, just as Li Weiwei swung and was about to hit him, he suddenly dodged.

She was about to miss, ready to pull her punch back. But suddenly, she was hit with a wave of dizziness, her body felt beyond her control, and instead of bringing her fist back, she unexpectedly fell toward Hao Jian.

Originally sitting in the passenger seat, she suddenly fell directly toward Hao Jian. This sudden dizziness caught him off guard. Although he was driving, he saw Li Weiwei falling toward him and quickly braked, pulling over to the side.

And at that moment, Li Weiwei ended up falling onto him, landing unexpectedly and directly on top of him,

The atmosphere in the car turned awkward. Hao Jian hurriedly covered a certain part with the edge of his clothes. Even someone as thick-skinned as himself found it hard to say anything at such an awkward moment. They shared a moment of awkward silence.

Li Weiwei’s face was flushed, unable to look at him. Thinking quickly, he said, "Driving is so dangerous; don’t joke around like that. You see, if I hadn’t been skilled enough to stop at the roadside quickly, what if something like this happened in the middle of the road? How dangerous would that be?"

Hao Jian used a lecturing tone. Normally, if Li Weiwei heard him speak to her like this, she would explode with anger. But now, her face was so red, and as Hao Jian criticized her, she appeared genuinely remorseful, like a child caught doing something wrong.

Seeing this, Hao Jian almost couldn’t help but laugh; he didn’t expect Li Weiwei to have such an expression.

But he held back, knowing that if he laughed, Li Weiwei might unleash a more aggressive side of her personality and devour him without a trace.

He immediately put on a serious face and continued driving carefully.

Maybe the experience was new for Li Weiwei as well, as she looked both embarrassed and flushed. When Hao Jian continued driving without looking at her, she finally calmed down a little, her blush fading.

Then, to cover her embarrassment, she opened the items Hao Jian gave her, applying what needed to be applied and drinking what needed to be drunk, immersing herself in them.
