Chapter 2134: Chapter 2335: An Outrageous Act!
At this moment, he looked like he was not doing well. He glanced at Hao Jian, his eyes slightly rolling back, but he kept on drinking. He felt his body heating up, and he reeked of alcohol so much that even he could smell it.
The more he drank, the slower he got, and eventually, he had drunk about four-fifths of the Autumn Moon White, looking terrible. If he was drunk enough to be unconscious before, now he seemed drunk enough to cause trouble.
Everyone’s faces showed concern, but when they remembered what he had done earlier, no one stepped forward to say anything, just watched from the sidelines. The owner’s face was full of worry, knowing if something really happened due to drinking, he wouldn’t be able to escape responsibility.
But seeing Baldy and his crew standing there, he dared not speak a word. If he intervened, he feared he’d bear the responsibility first, and then Baldy’s gang might smash his shop—something he definitely wanted to avoid. So he looked at them painfully but remained silent.
The sleazy-looking guy was gulping down the wine. There was only a little bit left of the Autumn Moon White now. He was still drinking but with increasingly small movements, clearly relying on the last bit of strength. At this point, even a three-year-old could knock him down.
After thirty seconds, he finally finished the last bit of Autumn Moon White, flip the bottle upside down to show it was empty, and looked at Hao Jian with a dazed expression, trying to speak but too drunk to utter a word.
The one drinking halfway eyed the sleazy guy in fear. Looking at Hao Jian, he felt glad the man didn’t make him drink more; otherwise, he might be dizzy and collapsed now. He looked relieved.
"Da, da, da..." the sleazy guy struggled to say, wanting to tell Hao Jian he had finished the wine.
But before he could finish speaking, there was a sudden "bang!" as he slumped heavily onto the table with a loud thud, passing out and lying there motionless.
He had drunk himself unconscious, completely intoxicated, and his body was much heavier than before. Seeing this, the restaurant owner was startled. If something happened to this guy in his establishment, he’d be in big trouble, possibly unable to keep his restaurant open.
Frightened, he rushed over to check on the sleazy guy. But just then, Baldy stepped in and blocked his path, stopping him from going further. The owner caught a glimpse of Baldy’s fierce look and instantly dared not proceed.
The only sober one among the three men was already quite scared by the situation. Hao Jian suddenly looked at him and smiled, saying, "What are you standing there for?"
The man was taken aback, not understanding Hao Jian’s meaning immediately. Hao Jian continued, "He’s already drunk like this, and you’re still standing here? Hurry up and get his stomach pumped!"
The man was startled and suddenly realized, nodding immediately, then got up to support the sleazy guy. However, he found the man was as heavy as could be, his weight possibly doubling from drinking. Even with all his strength, he couldn’t lift him.
At this point, Hao Jian gestured to Baldy’s men, and two of them stepped forward to help. Together with the man, they barely managed to lift the sleazy guy.
"Stop dawdling, hurry up. If you’re any later, a simple stomach pump might not be enough," Hao Jian urged with a smile.
They quickly carried the sleazy guy out, hailed a cab at the restaurant entrance, and left. If they didn’t rush, it could escalate beyond just stomach pumping, as Hao Jian said.
He had almost finished a bottle of baijiu, and then he drank a whole bottle of Autumn Moon White. Autumn Moon White—it’s 54 degrees strong. Despite the smaller bottle, 54 degrees is no joke, unlike beer which is only a few degrees. Drinking a bottle of 54 degrees baijiu is frightening enough. If he isn’t sent to the hospital for a stomach pump, it could be worse.
Seeing the sleazy guy being sent to the hospital for a stomach pump, Hao Jian chuckled. At this moment, Baldy let the owner come over, and the owner, seeing the situation, didn’t know what to say and just glanced before leaving.
The sleazy guy’s other accomplice lay on the floor, but merely drunk. Hao Jian found it irritating to look at him and gestured to one of Baldy’s men. Two men approached, picked him up, and tossed him outside the shop.
No one objected to this. Treating such societal scum this way isn’t seen as a bad thing.
Afterwards, Hao Jian looked at Baldy, who waved his hand, and his group returned to their seats to continue eating and drinking. The diners, seeing the situation resolved, silently withdrew their attention.
Now, only Hao Jian and Li Weiwei sat at this table. Li Weiwei looked at Hao Jian and suddenly said, "Um... thank you."
Her breath reeked of alcohol as she spoke, and the table was cluttered with empty bottles, evidencing she drank quite a lot. Otherwise, the sleazy group wouldn’t have targeted her.
Thinking of this, Hao Jian looked at her disdainfully, saying, "Drank so much alone again? Forgot the last lesson? Always focusing on teaching others, never reflecting on yourself?"
Li Weiwei seemed displeased, saying, "What’s wrong with drinking? You’re lecturing me for drinking?"
As soon as Hao Jian smelled her breath, he waved his hands, fanning away the odor, saying, "Yikes! That smell—you better not talk to me. It’s unbearable."
Any girl would blush hearing that from a guy. Even drunk, Li Weiwei sobered up somewhat from the commotion, and as Hao Jian spoke, her face turned a deep shade.
"No way? Do I?" she tried to hide it.
Hao Jian, unwilling to argue, said, "Don’t drink alone again, especially so much. If you want to drink, invite someone along, can’t you? If there’s no one else and I’m free, you can call me too! As a teacher, if parents saw you like this, would they trust you with their kids?"
Li Weiwei, upon hearing this, found some sense in Hao Jian’s words and nodded instinctively. However, women often shift blame onto men even if they’re wrong, she gave Hao Jian a sideways glance.
Hao Jian quickly said, "What are you up to? Remember, I saved your life twice, don’t be rough with me!"
Li Weiwei gave him another sideways glance before waving her hand, saying, "Boss, bill please."
The owner quickly sent a waiter over. The waiter checked the bill, saying, "Hello! The total is 672!"
"672?" Li Weiwei was stunned, having only eaten a meal and drunk a bit, how could it cost so much?
But then she looked and saw the baijiu and Autumn Moon White on the table, immediately understanding, and pointed at Hao Jian, saying, "He’ll pay for those drinks. How much for mine?"
The waiter calculated, saying, "107."
Li Weiwei took 200 yuan from her pocket, prepared to hand it over to the waiter, but as she got up, she felt dizzy and stumbled before she could stand straight, almost falling.
Fortunately, Hao Jian swiftly caught her head before it hit the table corner, preventing her from getting injured.
However, while supporting her, Hao Jian instinctively squeezed, finding it soft and pleasant... only to realize his hand was in an awkward place. Seeing Li Weiwei’s already blushing face, he quickly moved his hand to a more appropriate spot.
Realizing the crowd, Li Weiwei couldn’t react loudly, or else everyone would know what happened. Besides, she was dizzy, her drunkenness surging when she stood up, becoming quite intoxicated.
Thus, despite Hao Jian’s inappropriate behavior, she said nothing, only glared at him intensely as if wanting to kill him.
