Loraine grumbled in pain as she held her forehead, the pain a searing heat as she rolled around on the floor and grumbled under her breath, already cursing her stupidity for trying to use [Magical Grasp].
"God damn it....not again.." She grumbled under her breath, wondering if she had received a concussion from injuring herself like a dumbass.

’Whatever, I finally got my hands on you.’ Loraine smiled, her hands reaching out to the [Skill Book] as she held it in her hands, briefly glancing over her shoulder before returning her focus on the book in her palms, feeling the sheer magical energy coursing though it.
’I wonder what kind of skill is inside it? Better question actually, how do I even freaking use a [Skill Book], do I actually have to read the damn thing?’ She pondered for a moment, before finally turning the book over in her hands, the pages flying open and shimmering with an overwhelming, ethereal light as she stared at its contents.
The book’s words and literature wasn’t like anything she had ever seen before, all written in a language she could barely comprehend thanks to Loraine’s former memories, strange diagrams and sigils adorned every page as she tried her best to read the book, her mind being overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information pouring into her brain.
’Damn...when has reading a book become a brain workout? I feel like I’ll get a headache if I keep reading this stuff...’ She remarked with a bit of a sarcastic tone, glancing at the system notification beside her head showcasing a bar and her current comprehension of grasping the skill inside the book. Can the other’s receive Daily Quests too?’ She questioned inwardly, but quickly shook off the thought and focused her attention back on learning the Skill inside the [Skill Book].
"Concentrate...on the...flow of Mana....residing in your body..." Loraine began to mutter, a nervous sweat on her face as she realized just how limited the previous Loraine’s knowledge was, without proper education, her reading comprehension was nothing short of awful.
It was honestly pretty damn embarrassing, but at the same time, pretty sad too, as she had a very hard time making out the words on the page, and more importantly having them make sense in her head.
’Another issue added to my list, great...guess I not only have to worry about surviving in this place, Sarah, and now I have to worry about my education as well. Though I doubt they’ll even let me borrow a damn book in this library.’ Loraine thought with a bit of a scowl on her face.

After around 20 minutes of reading through the book, Loraine came across a diagram with an image of an eye, but the eye was anything from normal, having some weird, but at the same time, cool geometric patterns engraved in the orb, pulsing with a bright blue hue.
At the same time, Loraine felt a strange sensation brimming within her body, coursing in her veins and engraving itself within her mind and soul, the knowledge that she had absorbed solidifying in her mind before a loud ring echoed in her skull, the system congratulating her on learning a new skill for the very first time.

"Woah..." Loraine muttered under her breath, still somewhat recovering from the mental gymnastics she had to go through just to read a book. "This will definitely come in handy later, and the best part? It doesn’t sound like it put a hole in a wall with a single activation!" Loraine smiled, pleased with herself as she glanced at the [Eyes Of Appraisal] [Skill Book] in her hands, her mind struggling to process the significance of such a thing.
The fact that precious techniques and abilities could be locked away in the confines of literature and art was something to behold, the thought of getting one for herself, adventuring through the perilous depths of hell to secure one of these had ignited a spark of excitement within herself. She couldn’t wait to continue growing stronger.
"Now then..." Loraine said, grabbing the ladder on the side of the wall and returning the book to its former spot. As she was about to put the book back in it’s place however, it suddenly erupted in a mass of flames and disintegrated into a mass of magical energy, shimmering away into the and nearly knocking her off balance in surprise.
"What the hell?!" Loraine gasped, her heart racing in her heart as she held onto the ladder, adrenaline pumping through her veins as she almost fell to her death. "Geez...I didn’t expect it to do THAT." She mumbled, "Guess I’m starting to learn how things function here, it seems that [Skill Books] disappear after they’ve been used up." She thought, climbing down the ladder.
"I wonder if there are other [Skill Book]’s hidden in here? Or did I just get lucky and managed to stumble on one that they had forgotten to hide away?" She wondered, as it would make sense to hide such powerful and rare artifacts away in a sort of treasury.
’But hey, as long as it wasn’t one they would be looking for in the future that could come back to bite me in the ass, I’m not complaining.’ Loraine thought, her eyes wandering around the study as she decided that before trying out her newly acquired skill, she was going to turn her focus on cleaning up the damn place first.
"Alright...let’s try this." Loraine muttered, glancing around the cleaned study as she closed her eyes and began to focus, the crimson orbs bursting open a few moments later shining with an overwhelming blue hue as she activated [Eyes Of Appraisal] for the very first time!
