Chapter 1859: Bloodline Link

Driven by fury, Baxia lunged forward and clamped his jaws down on the Amenkha Empire’s Rank Six vizier.

Although the vizier was nearing the end of his burst phase, he stood no chance of resisting a direct bite from an overlord!

The two Rank Six monsters at his side were no better off.

In a region riddled with space-time rifts, creatures nearly a kilometer in size looked like toys before Baxia’s enormous dragon head.

And as Baxia attacked the Rank Six vizier, neither of them dared make a sound.

The crushing pressure of Baxia’s bloodline and overwhelming life force made them tremble where they stood.

“Ahhh—!”

A scream tore through space.

Baxia showed no mercy. He swallowed the vizier whole. Grayish-red blood leaked from the corners of his jaws.

The vizier’s cries and struggles quickly faded as Baxia chewed, the sounds growing weaker and weaker until they vanished completely.

With a final gulp, the vizier was gone.

But Baxia’s anger had not subsided. His massive eyes shifted toward the remaining two monsters.

The same fate awaited them.

One after the other, Baxia devoured both Rank Six monsters.

They were torn apart and chewed, reduced to blood that stained his dragon fangs.

Baxia had always been known to be a gentle creature.

Just look at Tourmaline—a dragon-turtle who spent most of her time sleeping. How malicious could such a creature really be?

But today, Baxia was truly upset!

Every dragon had a reverse scale. Anyone who touched it would die!

Tourmaline, his youngest daughter, had been hunted down by the Amenkha Empire, leaving her fate unknown.

Even for someone as gentle as Baxia, feeding on these creatures’ flesh, drinking their blood, and crushing their bones was not enough to extinguish the rage burning inside him.

The three Rank Six beings who had pushed Sein and the others to the brink stood no chance before an overlord.

After consuming the ones who had hurt his daughter, Baxia calmed down slightly. He turned his gaze toward the collapsing portal nearby and slowly moved toward it.

The traces of Tourmaline’s blood lingering in the surrounding space made Baxia’s already crimson eyes grow misty.

He moved closer. The violent spatial forces, enough to tear apart even a Rank Six creature, had no effect on him at all.

After all, with defenses like his, Baxia could withstand even the attacks of a Rank Eight being.

But that was also part of the problem. His life force was simply too immense.

The shattered portals around him were already on the verge of collapse.

The earlier battle and the vizier’s attacks had thrown the space-time laws here into complete chaos.

When Baxia carefully brought his massive head closer to the collapsing vortex, everything gave way the moment his snout brushed against it.

The already unstable space-time forces ruptured again, erupting into a violent storm that swept across the region.

The sheer force of it was overwhelming. Even Mel and Leena, positioned far from the vortex, could not endure the shockwaves and were forced to retreat.

Baxia, however, did not even flinch.

The storm did not hurt him, but it was enough to stop him from going any deeper. In that instant, the last faint traces of Tourmaline and Sein vanished completely.

ROOOAR!!!

The dragon’s roar that followed was far more furious than before, shaking the surrounding space.

The sheer pressure of an overlord-level dragon might washed over the battlefield, causing combatants on both sides to falter.

The power imbued in Baxia’s roar continued to tear through the star domain itself, echoing deep into the cosmos!

Members of his lineage shared a subtle form of bloodline connection.

No matter how far apart they were, they could sense one another through their blood and tell whether a kin was safe or in danger.

A similar bond also existed between the Fire Phoenix and the Ice Phoenix of the Magus Alliance.

In general, the closer the bloodline, the stronger the connection.

When Tourmaline fell into danger, Baxia was the first to sense it—and the first to arrive.

And now, that furious roar carried a message. Its recipients were not the enemies nearby but his kin!

Baxia’s lineage held considerable influence across the Astral Realm.

The Magus Civilization and the Immortal Realm were the two top-tier civilizations most closely tied to his lineage.

Beyond them, countless other world civilizations were also connected to this ancient dragon clan.

Baxia’s roar was a call for help to his kin, hoping they would join the search and help him find Tourmaline.

However, the violent space-time storm around him disrupted their bloodline link, making it nearly impossible for him to sense her location or condition.

As a father, Baxia refused to believe the worst. He would never stop searching for Tourmaline.

After that roar, he slowly regained his composure. Casting one last look at the fully collapsed portal at the eye of the storm, he turned and flew toward the heart of the Mordora Star Domain.

White Stella, Black Oblivion, and his two nephews were still there, waiting to be rescued.

As he left the stormy region, Baxia glanced back more than once.

No miracle came.

On his way toward the center, Baxia shielded Mel, Leena, and the Magus Civilization’s forces from the aftershocks of the raging space-time storm.

Wherever he passed, the endless gray tide of death parted around him like a river splitting into branches.

***

Inside the space-time corridor...

The violent forces left Sein and Tourmaline drenched in blood.

This was a highly unstable corridor. Compared to the one Sein once used to reach Faeloria, this was far more dangerous.

The moment she entered, Tourmaline reached her physical limit and reverted to her smaller human form.

Sein held her tightly in his arms. Tourmaline’s two green arm ribbons bound her securely to him, as if reacting to their master’s condition.

Although they looked like two pieces of soft fabric, they were still world-class secret treasures.

With the ribbons shielding them, a significant portion of the surrounding corrosive forces was neutralized.

Yuri and Fermera also stayed close to Sein.

The Burning Flame Unit, being the weakest among them, had already hit her limit, but the chaotic nature of the rift made it impossible for Sein to store her back into his storage device.

Fermera, the strongest present, used her metallic body as a shield to block the forces closing in from all sides.

Naturally, she bore the greatest strain. Her body was already nearing its breaking point.

And so, clinging together, they pushed forward—enduring the violent chaos of space and time as they ventured deeper into the unknown...
