Chapter 513: Chapter 513: He Married You Only to Use You
Evelyn lowered her gaze, feeling utterly helpless in this situation.
Because Caden Lockwood hadn’t given her enough confidence to confront Yvonne Rhodes.
"Caden married you for a reason," Yvonne’s voice grew softer, "Moreover, he plans to use you when you least expect it."
"..."
"By then, you’ll be hurt by him yet still foolishly believe he loves you. It’s all a play, a manipulation! And you are just too naive to understand!" Yvonne said coldly.
"What do I have that my husband would use?" Evelyn rolled her eyes, "Stop being so calculating..."
"Your heart." Yvonne interrupted Evelyn, pointing at her chest.
Evelyn clearly saw a flash of unavoidable pain on Yvonne’s face.
"I have a congenital heart disease," Yvonne’s voice was very soft, "With your heart transplanted into me, I could live much longer."
Evelyn’s gaze trembled, and before she could speak, Yvonne continued, "You’re RH negative, right?"
Leaving behind these meaningful words, Yvonne again waved to Yvette from not far away, then walked into the company.
The security guard was very respectful to Yvonne and did not stop her at all.
Evelyn was completely dumbfounded.
Could it be that Yvonne was actually the woman Caden truly loved?
And she, Evelyn Morgan, was merely the person providing a heart to let Yvonne live longer?
No way!
Absolutely not!
Evelyn shook her head.
She didn’t believe a word of what Yvonne said.
This was obviously Yvonne deliberately deceiving her!
Need a heart?
Ha!
How could that be possible?
Evelyn stood in the sunlight, yet her body felt as cold as if it were frozen, with not a single cell warm.
Yvette walked over to Evelyn and said softly, "No matter what she said, don’t believe it."
Evelyn looked at Yvette, suddenly feeling so wronged.
Her nose felt sour, and her heart seemed as if something was stuck inside, making her feel terrible.
She didn’t want to believe Yvonne’s words, but she couldn’t control herself.
"Don’t forget, you’re here to surprise the young master," Yvette reminded.
Evelyn bit her lip and looked again towards the direction of Caden Lockwood’s office.
She nodded and took the lunch box from Yvette’s hands, deciding that after the meal she would find time to ask Caden about Yvonne’s matter!
Out of the elevator, as Evelyn and Yvette were about to walk around the corner, Evelyn suddenly pulled Yvette back and then made a "shh" gesture.
Yvette frowned, following Evelyn’s sneaky gaze, surprisingly seeing Caden Lockwood and Yvonne walking together.
Evelyn stood in place, realizing her breathing had unknowingly become blocked.
Her gaze was fixed on Caden Lockwood, unmoving, even blinking felt like a luxury.
At this moment, Caden was expressionless, yet standing beside Yvonne, he didn’t seem distant, and the two appeared... quite matched.
The elevator opened, they walked inside, and as it closed, judging by the floor numbers, they were heading to the company’s rooftop lounge.
Evelyn stood dazed for several seconds, only catching her breath after her brain lacked oxygen.
"Young Madam," Yvette spoke softly, "If you have doubts, you should confront and ask directly, rather than making wild guesses behind their backs."
