Jiang Li stared at the photo Lu Xingye pulled up, her mouth falling open in astonishment. The picture was of a young, vibrant student, and the face belonged to the man from her dream—the one with a human head and a pig’s body.
’To think he was Luo Anan’s boyfriend.’
"According to the company where Li Yiming was interning, he disappeared half a month ago and has been unreachable ever since. Surveillance footage shows that before he vanished, the only person he was in contact with was you.
Furthermore, on that same day, Zhang Zihang went to a local pig farm and bought a pig. This is the purchase record.

Lu Xingye presented the evidence piece by piece. Now, all that was left was to find Li Yiming.

Jiang Li frowned. "Being an orphan isn’t an excuse to commit a crime." ’She and Qiao Siyuan’s family would really get along.’
"Officer, what on earth has my daughter done?"
Luo Mingsheng and Guo Xue Mei had received the news and rushed to the station.
He had been in the middle of a meeting when he heard that a large number of police had surrounded his home, demanding that they cooperate with an investigation.

Inside the hidden laboratory, a man lay unconscious on a white, single bed, with tubes running into his body. Beside him, an animal’s heart sat, still beating.
Staring at the scene, Luo Mingsheng felt a wave of dizziness. He couldn’t believe that his daughter, his pride and joy, was capable of something so depraved.
"An’an, have you lost your mind? How could you do this? Is this what your mother and I taught you all these years?"
Luo Mingsheng said, pointing at Luo Anan in a rage.
Guo Xue Mei, however, merely frowned and remained silent.
"Dad, I did it all to bring you glory! I was only one step away! As soon as the heart transplant was a success, the Nobel Prize would have belonged to the Luo Family!"
Luo Anan looked at Luo Mingsheng with frantic excitement.
Listening to her unhinged ranting, Huo Qing and his team frowned deeply.
"Captain Huo, we’ve found Li Yiming’s identification, as well as some other items that appear to be his, but we haven’t located Li Yiming himself."
The voice of a colleague crackled over the radio.
Luo Anan let out a malevolent laugh. "Yes, I made a mistake. But you have no proof of what I did to Li Yiming.
As for his ID, he used to be my boyfriend. It’s perfectly normal for me to have some of his things, right?"
Jiang Li watched the video projected on the large screen. ’He’s not in the same location?’
She thought hard. In her dream, the walls and floor tiles of the room where Li Yiming was held were identical to those in Luo Anan’s lab.
"Bring Zhang Zihang in here."
Zhang Zihang had been in detention for several days, but his face showed no trace of anxiety. ’Animal abuse isn’t a serious crime anyway,’ he figured. ’I’ll be getting out in a few days.’
"Zhang Zihang, come with us."
Zhang Zihang jumped to his feet. ’Are they letting me go?’
Zhang Zihang followed the police officer back into the interrogation room.
This time, it was Lu Xingye and Jiang Li who came in.
Jiang Li looked at Zhang Zihang. ’He was always at Luo Anan’s beck and call. He must know even more than she does.’
Lu Xingye gave her a skeptical look. "You really know how to use hypnosis?"
