Chapter 1218: Chapter 1218: The Truth of That Night
Summer Sutton thought over and over but couldn’t figure out the reason.
With her head down, she quietly pondered for a long, long time, feeling like her mind had been heavily struck.
Could it be that Lorraine Hughes knows Watt Bennet’s identity?
If Lorraine knows Watt Bennet is Adrian Walyon, everything that happened that night would make sense.
Has she seen the face beneath Watt Bennet’s mask?
If Lorraine likes Adrian Walyon, Summer Sutton isn’t worried she would reveal Watt Bennet’s identity, but Summer certainly dislikes any third party intruding in a marriage.
Ariella Sawyer seemed yet to figure this out, furrowing her brows and racking her brain, but still couldn’t comprehend.
Meeting just a few times and something like this happens, it’s surprising Lorraine Hughes is so open...
"I’m hungry, going to make instant noodles!" Summer Sutton felt quite at home at Ariella’s place, rummaging through the kitchen.
"Didn’t you leave with Watt Bennet? He didn’t let you eat first?" Ariella followed her in, asking suspiciously.
Summer Sutton felt a bit stumped by her, replied with a blank expression, "I just ate."
"Just ate and you’re hungry again, Summer Sutton, are you a pig!"
Summer Sutton, "..."
...
Ariella Sawyer usually lived alone and was often on set; her place was quite quiet.
Summer Sutton’s visit this time brought companionship, and Ariella was pretty happy about it.
At night, the two squeezed onto one bed for the night; the next day Summer Sutton went to the company as usual.
The recording time for yesterday’s show was three days; today is the last day.
When she arrived at the recording site, plenty of reporters were still present.
Unlike yesterday, today all the reporters focused on her.
Summer Sutton ignored the cameras pointed at her, calmly entering the recording site, diligently engaging in work matters after entering.
During the day, busy all day, by around 4 p.m., Watt Bennet’s car once again emerged outside the site.
These past few days, Watt Bennet’s car has been even more punctual than the reporters; as soon as finishing time arrives, his car will appear.
Upon his arrival, the scene instantly became lively, reporters vigorously aiming their lenses at him, eagerly waiting to scoop various juicy bits.
A group of reporters even began betting with each other, wagering whether Watt Bennet was here for Summer Sutton or Lorraine Hughes this time.
The production group worked several overtime hours today; Watt Bennet arrived just past 4 p.m., and by 11 p.m., they still hadn’t wrapped up.
He waited for seven hours this time.
Such a long duration almost matched a typical company’s workday.
Many reporters staking out probably found the wait too arduous; some couldn’t hold on and left halfway, but his car steadfastly remained parked outside the production group’s location.
By the time Summer Sutton emerged, it was nearly midnight.
Working until late at night, everybody was exhausted at this point, practically yawning while walking.
Lorraine Hughes came out earlier, turning her head to gaze at Watt Bennet’s car after stepping out.
Deep down she harbored a faint hope Watt Bennet came for her this time, even though knowing he probably has little to say to her.
Yet, she and he have the tie from that night; doesn’t he want to clear things up?
Being scrutinized by a bunch of reporters every day, each day Watt Bennet sought out Summer Sutton instead of her; Lorraine Hughes too has pride, feeling her proud dignity somewhat strained day in and day out.
But even standing outside the recording site for several minutes, Watt Bennet seemed to overlook her, remaining waiting for the yet-to-emerge Summer Sutton.
