Chapter 1186: Chapter 1186: I Want to Keep You by My Side and Not Let You Go Anywhere
"Why does it hurt more?" Watt Bennet asked with a serious expression.
"I don’t know, it just hurts, everywhere." Summer Sutton didn’t know how to give a reason, so she began to make things up.
Watt, "..."
Watt didn’t actually know her exact condition now; she said it hurt, so it must hurt everywhere!
Worried about Summer Sutton’s injuries, Watt didn’t ask further, and carried her on his back as he continued walking toward the village.
He hadn’t really come to the mountains a lot, just a couple of times, all because of Summer Sutton.
The mountain road wasn’t easy to walk on, and after the rain, it was even more muddy.
The way back to the village was somewhat difficult for the two of them.
After returning, Watt brought Summer Sutton to the room, sat next to her, and started treating her wounds.
The visible injuries on Summer Sutton were scratches on her arms and legs, likely caused by tree branches; besides those, there were no other injuries.
If you just look at her injuries this way, they weren’t serious, yet Summer Sutton seemed to be in a lot of pain, her brows tightly furrowed.
Watt cleaned and dressed all of her external wounds and asked, "Does it hurt anywhere else?"
"Legs, waist, I think I’ve hurt them." Summer Sutton said, clutching her waist.
The two of them were still in the countryside, with rather limited medical conditions, so Watt could only try to assess her condition himself.
He lifted her leg and gently moved it; he didn’t actually notice anything wrong with Summer Sutton, but since she said so, there must be something wrong.
However, if her mind is so clear, any issue should not be too serious.
"Are you planning to stay here for a few more days?" Watt asked.
"Three days," Summer Sutton answered truthfully.
Watt seemed a little irritated, and his face suddenly lifted up, "Another three days?"
As his voice raised, Summer Sutton immediately turned her face to the side.
Avoiding his anger, she didn’t dare to look at him and just nodded slightly.
Watt’s expression instantly darkened.
"Honey, the luggage I brought has clothes, can you help me find them?" Summer Sutton glanced to the side, quickly trying to divert his attention.
Watt took a deep breath, stood up, opened her suitcase, found a clean set of clothes, and returned to the bedside.
Summer Sutton was ready to take them, but Watt suddenly said, "Didn’t you say the whole body hurts? I’ll help you."
Summer Sutton, "..."
Summer Sutton felt a bit embarrassed, but since she said it herself, she couldn’t find a reason to refuse.
Watt didn’t say much, locked the room door, raised his hands, and began undressing her wet clothes.
Helping Summer Sutton change clothes like this, he didn’t know how many times he had done it, very adept.
With a few swift moves, he removed her clothes, but didn’t hurry to put on the clean ones.
In the room, the lighting was dim.
The glow was a warm orange, an old-style bulb from the countryside.
Today, even though it rained, tonight made Summer Sutton feel hot.
She felt a little awkward, sitting quietly there with her face slightly flushed.
Watt stared at her like this for quite a while, his body slowly leaning towards her, he whispered near her ear, "Do you know, sometimes I really want to keep you locked in the room, so you can’t go anywhere?"
Summer Sutton’s body stiffened a bit, her gaze at him showed some amazement.
Watt’s words left her momentarily unsure whether he was teasing, or if today’s incident made him overly worried, leading to such remarks.
