Chapter 1181: Chapter 1181: Getting Fresh with Him
The room was small, but he endured it.
The bed was tiny, not enough for him and her, but he endured it too.
No air conditioning, he endured.
But with no fans, not even mosquito repellent, mosquitoes flying everywhere, buzzing near his ears, Watt couldn’t take it anymore.
To him, Summer Sutton was practically suffering here.
If he hadn’t come, was she still planning to stay here for a few more days?
Tossing and turning on the bed, after an hour of lying there, Watt still couldn’t fall asleep.
Utterly bored, he fumbled around the bedside for a book to use as a fan, swatting at the mosquitoes around the bed.
His movements were so light, Summer Sutton didn’t even notice.
Summer actually didn’t fall asleep at first either; in this heat, anyone who could sleep must be a god.
But eventually, sleepiness overcame her, and she slowly drifted off.
Furthermore, with Watt helping ward off mosquitoes, Summer Sutton barely got bitten throughout the night.
As she slept, instinctively she snuggled closer to Watt, wrapping him in a hug.
...
The next day, because of early work, Summer Sutton woke up early.
Upon opening her eyes, she checked herself all over, finding no traces of mosquito bites, she had a rough idea of what happened last night.
Turning her face to the side, her gaze fell on the face of the man beside her, seemingly in deep sleep, causing Summer to pause.
Could it be that he only fell asleep when dawn broke and the mosquitoes decreased?
Though the two of them were still at odds, Watt was quite angry with her, yet he couldn’t bear to let her suffer at all.
Summer Sutton quietly watched him like this, feeling warmth in her chest.
Thinking that he was still angry, Summer feared reaching out to him might get her pushed away, so she closed her eyes, feigned sleep, and snuggled further into Watt’s embrace, her arms naturally circling around his neck.
With her head buried in his chest, her sleeping posture now mirrored their most intimate and common sleep style.
Summer felt sweet inside, deliberately lingering in Watt’s arms for a while, her head turning this way and that until her lips brushed against his lips.
The effect she created was accidental — as if in her sleep, her head moved in front of him, and her lips inadvertently touched his.
Summer actually wanted to kiss him but feared his anger might push her away, so she acted in this way.
Both of them were married, yet for one kiss, she put in so much thought.
Even Summer herself was speechless at her actions.
Lip involuntarily brushed against Watt’s lips several times, after enough kisses, thinking about having breakfast and then starting work, wanting to lift the sheets and get out of bed, Watt’s previously closed eyes suddenly opened.
Staring at her, his eyes were clear and bright.
This startled Summer Sutton.
In a daze, looking at him, Summer was awkward.
"When, when did you wake up?"
"For a while now." Watt replied to her coldly.
Summer Sutton, "..."
He had been awake and was pretending to sleep!
Was it intentional?
Summer Sutton’s face was extremely unnatural, stretching lazily, she pretended to be calm as she got out of bed, "The mountain air is so good!"
She was trying to change the subject, not daring to look at him, she left the room after opening the door.
Watt’s gaze seemed to follow her, even as Summer walked out of the room, she still felt it.
Unsure of his intentions, Summer felt a chill on her back.
