Chapter 1179: Chapter 1179: Summer Sutton, Do You Believe I Won’t Beat You Up?

During the days Summer Sutton stayed with Manuel Ink, she felt as if she was cut off from the world, unaware of everything happening outside.

Faced with Watt Bennet’s angry shout, she didn’t defend herself.

Watt was burning with anger inside, ignored her, and turned away to continue scrubbing his already clean pants leg.

He almost scrubbed through the thin fabric of the pants leg. Looking at the drenched pants, he wanted to find a place to dry them, but when his gaze swept toward Summer Sutton’s room, seeing the empty space made him even more restless.

He needed everything, but nothing was there. He’d stumbled over uneven mountain paths in the late night, ending up in such a sorry state.

All because of this stupid woman!

The countryside where Summer Sutton lived had inconvenient transportation. Watt drove for two hours to get there, and had to walk over an hour because of the poor road conditions on the mountain.

He couldn’t find the exact path and had taken several wrong turns.

It was already late at this point; he hadn’t even eaten, and his stomach was empty except for the fire from his anger.

Watt’s mood was really irritated, his gaze swept to Summer Sutton beside him, so angry he wanted to strangle her.

Summer guessed he was probably hungry, without waiting for him to speak, she fumbled her way to the courtyard light, turned it on, and went to pick some fresh vegetables from the garden outside the courtyard to make dinner for him.

Summer was actually spoiled growing up, and hadn’t visited the countryside many times.

The village was backward, and cooking was done by lighting a fire.

Summer wasn’t very skillful at lighting the fire, she failed several times before succeeding.

While cooking, she made the whole kitchen filled with thick smoke, nearly burning down the house.

However, fortunately with the firewood method, she finally managed to make the meal.

She set up a small table in the courtyard and brought out the dishes, glancing at Watt who was still standing aside, saying, "Dinner’s ready!"

Watt had been grumpy all night, almost steaming at the head, but he wasn’t going to go against his stomach.

He walked coldly in her direction, sat down, and buried his head in eating.

Summer’s cooking was actually quite bad, the dishes tasted smoky and burnt.

However, maybe because she made them, the taste was different from what Watt usually ate elsewhere.

Quietly finishing the meal, Watt went into the room.

The weather was really hot today, he had traveled on mountain paths for so long, and now he was sweating all over.

He went inside with the intention to take a shower, but as soon as he stepped in, he suddenly remembered this was the countryside, Summer’s room had nothing.

Having eaten, his anger dissipated slightly but now started to flare up again.

Seeing his rage about to erupt, Summer timidly suggested, "There’s a lake a few minutes away, why not go wash there? Everyone’s asleep at this time, no one will be around."

There’s no bathroom in the room, washing requires using a basin to wipe down with water.

Going to a place like that to wash is quicker than washing indoors, at night, nobody would see.

Watt turned his head and headed forward.

Having walked a bit, Summer pointed to the left path, reminding him, "Left side, left side!"

Watt stopped in his tracks, his face immediately froze.

Why didn’t she mention it earlier?

Was she playing him?
