Chapter 86: Chapter 86: What Do You Want to Do?
The brooding young man suddenly stretched a wide grin across his face. His eyes were fixed on Faye Yardley, but seeing her serious expression, he dropped the smile and said innocently, "I don’t have any money on me."
Faye Yardley frowned. ’That shouldn’t be possible. I would never do a deal at a loss.’
’Unless he has a backpack space like me... otherwise, I might as well just search him myself.’
"What are you trying to do?"
"Search you."
’Putting aside everything else, I could just rip off all the jewelry I can see on him.’
Her eyes made her intentions crystal clear. The young man gave a wry smile. "Stop. I really don’t have anything left on me. Take this. You’re welcome to visit my island anytime."
It was a gold-embossed Invitation Card. After Faye Yardley took it and opened it, her expression grew complicated.
"Islander 98?"
The young man was surprised. "You know me?"
"No. I once came across a wooden carving you made yourself. Its Attributes were pretty good." Faye Yardley forced a smile. "What should I call you?"
"Nora Nash. You have good taste."
The latter half of his sentence was clearly in response to her praise for his wood carving.
’Nora Nash? What an unfortunate name. And yet, for being in such a bad spot, he sure was lucky to run into me and Yvonne. I guess the name fits after all.’
Faye Yardley found the name truly hard to comment on. "Hello, Island Master ’Hard-Luck.’ I’m Faye Yardley, and this is my sister, Yvonne Lynch."
"Could you help me find a complete set of clothes?"
Faye Yardley directly pulled a men’s floral shirt and a pair of beach shorts from her backpack. "They’re my brother’s. Never worn."
"...Thank you."
Seeing him motionless, Faye Yardley decided to see her good deed through to the end. "Let me help you put them on."
For the first time, Nora Nash truly understood the meaning of embarrassment. A beautiful young woman pounced on him and started stripping off his clothes, not even sparing his pants.
’Weak, pitiful, helpless...’
BANG!
The door was violently thrown open from the outside, and the air went completely still.
"Ah! Island Master Nash, please, continue! I didn’t see anything!"
The six-foot-five giant looked as innocent as a three-year-old child.
After speaking, he blocked the others from seeing and quickly shut the door again.
With a RIP, Faye Yardley tore off what was left of Nora Nash’s shredded pants. Thankfully, his underwear was still intact. Otherwise, even someone as thick-skinned as Faye Yardley would have been flustered.
She called over to Yvonne Lynch. "Yvonne, hurry and help! I can’t get his pants on by myself."
Nora Nash felt he had lost all face for this lifetime in this very moment.
’To think that I, the great Island Master Nash, with my countless victories and awe-inspiring reputation...’
Now, aside from being able to speak, he couldn’t move his body an inch.
Not only was he at the mercy of a young woman, but his own subordinate had seen it all.
This was the first time since he was three that he had the urge to cry.
After getting Nora Nash changed, Faye Yardley wiped a bead of non-existent sweat from her brow. "Island Master Nash, don’t you forget the life-saving grace we sisters have shown you."
"I won’t forget." Nora Nash was completely red from head to toe.
"Then I’ll go let the people outside come in."
By the time Faye Yardley and Yvonne Lynch came out, the area outside had already been mostly cleaned up. It was as if no major brawl had just occurred.
Damaged structures were removed, and no one cared about the dead. The streets and alleys seemed to have returned to their previous bustling prosperity. It was as if peace had reigned all along.
"Sister, where are we going now?"
"To the mountaintop bar, of course. Don’t worry, I’ve still got enough for a drink."
"Won’t your brother and the others be worried?"
Faye Yardley waved her hand dismissively. "Once my brother and Eamon get back to the raft, he’ll know I’m fine. And since I’m fine, what’s there to worry about? Heck, they might already be at the mountaintop bar drinking ahead of us."
Faye Yardley was in an excellent mood. Nora Nash hadn’t paid his treatment fee, but his underlings were very perceptive. Not only did each of them give her a "greeting gift," but that big oaf also gave her a bag of Gold Coins.
As for them calling her "Sister-in-law" one after another, she decided to just ignore it.
’Tsk tsk, how delightful.’
It brought her Gold Coin balance directly to 1,501 gold.
She also got a gold-embossed Invitation Card, which was far more luxurious than the one she had fished up before.
’If I don’t celebrate with a drink at a time like this, wouldn’t I be a little too cheap with myself?’
Yvonne Lynch didn’t understand why her sister’s brother returning to the raft would mean he knew she was okay, but she trusted Faye Yardley. So, despite her apprehension, her feet obediently followed.
’If Mom and Dad knew I went to a bar, would they think I’ve become a bad girl?’
After walking for a bit, Faye Yardley stopped and looked at the Treant Hotel not far ahead. ’Does the hotel have a branch with the exact same decor?’
"Sister?" freёweɓnovel.com
She walked to the hotel entrance, went inside, and saw the familiar hotel manager.
"Esteemed guest, is there anything I can help you with?"
"Why did you move?"
The hotel manager gave a perfectly measured smile. "There was a small problem over there just now. We felt it wasn’t safe, so we moved locations. Please rest assured, guest. You hold a room key to our establishment. No matter where we move, the key will always guide you to the hotel’s exact location."
Faye Yardley said, "Oh. Okay, that’s a relief. My sister and I are going to the bar. If my brother and his group come back first, please let them know."
"Of course, guest. I hope you have a wonderful time."
Back on the street, Yvonne Lynch was a bit dazed. "So this world is this magical? A hotel can just pick up and move whenever it wants."
Faye Yardley patted her shoulder. "It’s not a big deal. Do you want some ice cream? I see an ice cream cart. Come on, let’s see how it’s different here."
They each got a super-sized ice cream cone, a rainbow one taller than their arms. Each color had a different flavor. Faye Yardley ate hers happily. ’It’s really been a long time since I’ve had one.’
’If coming to this island was a vacation, I’d be quite satisfied with this destination.’
Besides, just from rescuing Nora Nash, she had already made a killing on this trip.
’I still have so much time left. With money in hand, I can always buy something useful.’
’For now, I should just relax.’
Seeing Yvonne Lynch beside her, happily taking small bites, a smile couldn’t help but appear on her face. ’The world can be changed! The person right next to me is the best proof of that.’
"Sister? Do you want to try mine?"
Hers was a Seven-Colored Flower, with each petal having a different flavor.
Faye Yardley nodded and took a big CHOMP out of a yellow petal. It had a sweet and sour taste she’d never had before. It was delicious.
She offered her own cone for Yvonne to take a bite.
Trading bites, they arrived at the mountaintop bar full of joy.
The entrance was huge and flashy. Two Catgirl hostesses stood at the door, bowing to every guest who entered and welcoming them.
"Sister?" Yvonne Lynch was a little nervous. frёewebηovel.cѳm
Faye Yardley grabbed her hand and walked right in.
"Welcome. This way, please, guests," a Catgirl said, and one of them split off a clone to lead them inside.
The moment they stepped inside, a wave of noise and excitement, different from the hubbub outside, washed over them.
