Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Ding, Cross-Region Trade Completed
It was light and sharp, and you could tell at a glance that the durability of a Divine Weapon was practically a non-issue.
’Of course, I’m the system’s favorite daughter. How could I have possibly put my Luck Value points in the wrong place? Hee hee~’
Faye Yardley happily picked up the blade and swung it around for a while. To be honest, though the blade looked light, it actually had some weight to it.
But regardless, she was now someone with her own exclusive weapon.
She put the blade away. This treasure chest had been totally worth it. Even if it only contained this one item, it surpassed everything else.
While she was in a good mood, she went ahead and opened all the chests she had fished up today.

Faye Yardley looked at all the stuff, unable to contain her happiness. She wondered if anyone else could possibly have more supplies than her.
KNOCK KNOCK~
Faye Yardley got up and went to open the door.
"Sister, it’s time to eat."
"Okay."
After going downstairs, she first registered one of the Glutinous Rice Wine Recipes at the workbench, then crafted the small square table. She could take the table out to the thatched shed later, so she could drink tea and have some snacks while fishing.
So, she stored it in her inventory.
The spread on the dining table was quite lavish. It included the energy-infused Fish Meat she had given to Willow Yardley yesterday. Willow had simply pan-fried it, and the aroma alone was delectable.
"This looks delicious. Our Willow is such an amazing cook."
The Fish Meat was undeniably delicious. Upon eating it, she could feel the energy in her body being replenished, making it perfect for when one was mentally and physically exhausted.
’If this Fish Meat were made into fish balls, would they become like energy pills for rapid stamina recovery?’ ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
As she thought this, she voiced the question aloud.
Willow Yardley smiled and said, "That’s a great idea, Sister. I’ll try to make some fish balls later."
After eating, she didn’t forget to go and feed the Bronze Cat a small flying fish.
’A cat’s friendship is important. I have to maintain it.’
At a time like this, an umbrella was very important. It wasn’t just for blocking rain, but also for providing shade from the sun.
She had gotten an umbrella blueprint from a chest before. Instead of learning it, she had given one to her brother and sold the rest. Not that she was lacking an umbrella herself, though.
Holding her umbrella, she went to the planting room. After giving the glutinous rice seeds to Eamon, Faye Yardley asked, "After these crops grow and mature, will they produce their own seeds?"
Eamon nodded. "Most of them will, but it’s very difficult to save seeds from some. Even if you manage to, the harvest won’t be good."
"Okay, I understand. Thank you, Eamon." Faye Yardley continued, "Then I’ll have to trouble you to save seeds from all the plants that you can."
"You can count on me. Oh, right, I harvested another batch of Clementines and strawberries this morning. I gave them to Second Sister to put in the warehouse."
Faye Yardley nodded. Seeing the lush, green plants in the planting room, she felt truly satisfied and a sense of accomplishment.
Even though her contribution was minimal, all of this belonged to her, so the better the plants grew, the happier she was.
"Don’t work yourself too hard. You need to rest when you need to rest."
Eamon chuckled. Working with plants made him happy. Most importantly, no one here compared the plants he cared for with anyone else’s; even a mediocre yield was enough to make the sisters happy.
It filled him with a sense of value and happiness.
Faye Yardley left the planting room and went to the thatched shed. She placed the small square table in the middle, and it was a perfect fit for the shed’s built-in "beauty-rest" bench.
She sent the extra Glutinous Rice Wine Recipe, one mug of draft beer, four wine cups, and 93 pieces of wood to her brother.
A single Red Envelope could hold a total of 99 items, so Faye Yardley would sometimes add a bit of wood to top it off.
’After all, I gave him a huge batch of supplies last time. My brother shouldn’t be short on wood anymore.’
[Ding! Your cross-server trade has been completed. Please claim your item.]
Hearing the system notification, Faye Yardley’s eyes lit up, and her heart began to race.
’An Invasion Card?!’ "Claim item."
Sure enough, it was the familiar Invasion Card, but the time limit on it was only one hour.
Faye Yardley instantly felt antsy, wanting to use it immediately and go in for the kill.
’Even if Hailey Miles was lucky enough to use an item to save herself last time, she can’t possibly have another one now, can she?’
’Should I go right now?!’
She shot to her feet. Who waits for an auspicious time to kill someone? When you have the means, you go immediately!
And so, she decisively entered Hailey Miles’s name on the Invasion Card and confirmed its use.
A transparent vortex materialized out of thin air beside her. Gripping Light Wound, Faye Yardley strode right into it.
A similar transparent vortex appeared on Hailey Miles’s raft, and soon, Faye Yardley emerged from it.
She scanned her surroundings. The raft was only Level Five, small enough to take in at a glance. Hailey Miles wasn’t fishing. Her gaze fell upon the Wooden House.
She walked over and knocked politely on the door. No one responded.
Faye Yardley’s expression stiffened as a few bad possibilities crossed her mind.
She gave the door a push, and it swung open easily. Hailey Miles hadn’t locked it.
The inside had a lived-in feel, but there was no one there.
Pushing open the bedroom door, she found it empty as well.
’Seriously, is Hailey Miles crazy? Why isn’t she on her own raft on such a hot day? Did she just jump into the sea?’
Fuming, she plopped down on the sofa in Hailey Miles’s living room, finding it impossible to quell her irritation.
’I went to such lengths to get this Invasion Card. If I can’t even see the job through to the end, I feel like I’ll cough up blood from the sheer frustration.’
’And why doesn’t her Wooden House have any way to cool it down? The longer I sit here, the more irritated I get. I’m even starting to feel the urge to destroy this whole place.’
"Mr. Thatcher, thank you for bringing me back. I really can’t thank you enough for today. Come on up to my raft for a cup of tea."
"That’s not necessary, I..."
Hailey Miles grabbed Xavier Thatcher’s hand. "Oh, come on, Mr. Thatcher. Just come up and sit for a bit."
Hearing the voices, Faye Yardley, who was on the sofa, jolted, sprang to her feet, and went straight to the door of the Wooden House. She opened it just a crack to listen.
’Two people?’
’I’m not afraid of that.’
She put on a mask, held her breath, and focused, her hands tightening around Light Wound as she waited for Hailey Miles to open the door.
The sound of light footsteps grew closer, stopped, and then the door was pushed open.
The instant the door was opened, Faye Yardley struck, unleashing the blow she had been charging.
Her blade, carrying an aura of total destruction, came straight down on the person in the doorway.
Locked in place by the force of the attack, unable to move an inch, for that thousandth of a second, Hailey Miles truly thought she was about to die.
But then, she was violently yanked aside by Xavier Thatcher.
"AHHH!!"
The blade lopped off nearly half of Hailey Miles’s arm, sending a spray of fresh blood flying.
Having failed to kill with one strike, Faye Yardley stepped out of the house. She held Light Wound in her right hand, advancing on the pair step by step.
"It’s you!"
