Chapter 67: Chapter 61: Inheritance

The head instructor was about to ask what Bum meant by that but the earth started vibrating again. It was different from before. It was very rapid. They saw that another beast tide was coming. This time, it was a herd of deer with a stag Spirit Beast leading them. Their numbers were many times more than the tigers.

The archers said, "Somebody is riding the alpha."

Soon the herd reached the entrance and stopped near the tigers. The alpha kneeled and a graceful girl got down from his body. She had white hair and a stag head tattoo on her forehead. Zeke instantly recognised her due to her white hair. They hadn’t changed color. If anything, they become even whiter. She looked at Zeke first and then at the instructors. She said, "Rank 2 greets the instructors."

Zeke replied, "It’s good to see you Woo."

Hearing this, Woo smiled slightly. Then, she went and stood behind Zeke, just like Bum. She didn’t say anything and nobody asked her anything. There was a slight pressure in her calm gaze that prevented anyone from talking to her. While everybody was looking at her, Zeke’s attention was somewhere else.

He had already guessed what was going to happen next although he hoped that he was wrong. Unfortunately for him, his hopes were dashed by slow and strong vibrations coming from the ground. He cursed mentally, ’These crazy fuckers...Why do they always have to go so over the top?’

Half an hour later, they were able to see a large group of bears led by a Giant Panda. The bears were walking slowly but nothing dared to stop their path. Zeke, Woo, and Bum instantly recognized the leader. It was Pooki. When they reached the entrance, it was already getting very crowded. But the tigers and deer made way for the bears.

A huge boy, a literal mountain of muscle, got down from the Pooki. He was wearing a bearskin as a coat and holding a warhammer. He had five scars that looked like it had been made with an extremely sharp claw on his chest. He looked at the bears and roared. The bears also roared in response before sitting on the ground.

The boy walked into the camp and said, "Rank 5 greets the instructors." frёeωebɳovel.com

His voice was incredibly deep. He then walked and stood behind Zeke. The instructors were speechless. What the hell was going on? Why were the trainees accompanied by entire herds of beasts? And why were they riding Spirit Beasts? Also, why the hell was that tiger acting like a kitten? They had many questions but no answers.

The head instructor said, "Let’s go inside and talk. Please send your...pets back to the mountain."

Even the head instructor hadn’t realized that he had said the word ’please’ while talking to mere trainees. The trio nodded and let out a bunch of weird noises. The animals roared in response. They kneeled towards the trio and returned to the forest. Except for the Spirit Beast leaders. They just remained at the entrance. Bum pointed at the Spirit Beasts and said, "They are our mounts so they won’t go anywhere."

The head instructor said, "Very well. Let us head inside."

He led them to a secluded tent and said, "Explain."

The trio couldn’t decide what to say. They couldn’t tell the truth because Zeke had told them not to. When they were hesitating, Zeke said, "I can explain. We were looking for a place to build a shelter and entered a stone forest. It was confusing because no matter what we did, we couldn’t get out. I don’t remember the exact time but when we were about to pass out, we were transported to another place."

The head instructor asked, "What place?"

Zeke said, "I don’t know. But when we entered, we saw three humongous statues. A sleeping bear, a tiger with two horns, six wings, and a long tail, and an 18 horned stag with some kind of clouds on its ankles. The statues seemed to look at us and then we passed out.

When I woke up, I was in the forest, alone, along with an egg. My body was different and I had a lotus tattoo on my forehead. Its probably the same for them too."

Woo said, "Although not the same, I had a realistic tattoo of the stag statue on my body. I woke up next to the stag that I was riding."

Bum said, "I have the tiger. I woke up in a tiger Spirit Beast’s den."

Woong said, "And I have the bear. I woke up in a bear settlement led by the Spirit Beast that I was riding."

The head instructor had a look of horror on his face. He said, "Rank 5, show me your tattoo."

Bum nodded and took off the beast hides that he was wearing. He turned around and showed his back to the head instructor. The head instructor rubbed his eyes to make sure that he wasn’t seeing wrong.

After a few minutes, Bum wore the beast hides again and returned to his position behind Zeke. The head instructor stared at the trainees in front of him and realized that they were staring right back. Suddenly, the scene in front of him changed. He saw three huge beasts that matched the descriptions that trainees had given.

Behind the beasts was a huge black and gold throne in the shape of a lotus. On it, a man that resembled Zeke was sitting with a lazy and bored expression. But that wasn’t what shocked him. Because, behind the throne, there was a huge shadow. It was so huge that he was only able to see its feet. Suddenly, four pairs of eyes were focused on him and he felt pressure. Pressure that he had only felt once in his life.

The illusion disappeared in an instant, but even that had caused cold sweat to appear on his back. He believed their story. Because what Zeke had said was extremely consistent with the Bloodline Inheritance Grounds that Seventh-Ninth Transformation Spirit Beasts left. Only on a much larger scale. There had been assumptions that there were Bloodline Inheritance Grounds left by Divine Beasts but there wasn’t any proof.

Now, there was proof. Of course, what he didn’t know was that Zeke already knew this and had used it to his advantage. He couldn’t just that they had worshiped an otherworldly fake deity and had received the Bloodline Imprints accidentally, right. Especially not when they were inside a cult. That is like telling a cult member that you had joined another cult and still expect them to invite you in.

(No offense to anybody here.)

The head instructor said, "I’ll have to inform the higher ups about this. In the meantime, welcome to the Divine Demonic Cult."

The trio nodded but the Head instructor’s expression suddenly changed. He said, "Wait, if you all woke up in different places, how do you know each other’s names? And when did you get names?"

The trio was gobsmacked. Fortunately Zeke stepped in and said, "We had these names in our heads when we woke up. At least I did."

The trio nodded frantically behind him. The head instructor felt that something was wrong but couldn’t he couldn’t tell what. He said, "Then we’ll spend the night here and leave tomorrow."

[That’s what she said.]

(Cough-not to you, she didn’t-cough)

All of the trainees had dinner together. The other trainees were very curious about the Spirit Beasts. Zeke was mostly silent, and even when he did speak, it was to the trio. he said, "Anyways, have you named him?"

Woo nodded and said, "His name is Xooki."

Zeke almost dropped the leg piece in his head when he heard her words. He took a deep breath and exhaled. He looked at the trio and said, "Why? Did these poor beasts do something wrong? Do you have a grudge against them or something? You named these majestic beasts Pooki, Tooki, and Xooki. Why?"

Woo said, "Is something wrong with these names?"

Zeke slapped his forehead and said, "Is something wrong with these names...I can’t believe she has to ask that..."

He looked at the members of the other team and said, "You understand what I mean, right?"

The trio was put on spot. To them, Rank 1 was already a nightmare. But somehow, after breaking through, he felt even more of a monster. Seeing the look on their faces, Zeke said, "Don’t worry and speak freely."

They sighed and Rank 4 said, "Honestly, I don’t see the problem with the names."

The other members nodded in agreement. Zeke thought, ’And thats why, you don’t raise kids in a fucking cave!!’

(Said the person who named an EX Grade potion, Sanguine Tears of Demonic Angels...)

[...Yeah, I deserved that one.]

Woong said, "By the way, what did you name your pet, Ryeong?"

Zeke said, "First of all, he is not my pet. And unlike you I actually know how to name others. I named him Yonggi. It means courage." fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

(Right, he is your son.)
