Watching William head in Laura Jones’s direction, Sophie lowered her eyes and whispered:

Emma’s apology didn’t seem to convince the Director earlier, but inside she was feeling incredibly smug.
She raised her eyes but saw William Wilson approaching her.
Emma felt a surge of joy and made her expression appear even more innocent in front of the Director.
"Director, I really didn’t reshoot on purpose, I... I promise, I’ll get it right next time."

"Went to pick up my mother, she said she wanted to visit the crew to see her future daughter-in-law."
Laura Jones’s hand paused as she was drying her hair, her ears suddenly felt a bit hot.
Emma felt an inner tightening at these words.
