I swooped down towards her and landed behind her, giving her a swift spank before ducked as she spun around and fired out a concentrated telekinetic blast from her mouth, the attack brushing my head as I got low, before I slammed my palm against her stomach.
She stumbled back slightly as I pushed her off-balance, before she retreated several meters in an instant with an intense burst of telekinesis from her hands as she raised her arms in front of herself, her feet coming to a skidding halt across the ground.
It’s been a month since she joined us, and she’s made some pretty impressive progress over the last couple of weeks. Celes and I can no longer take it easy when training her, we don’t exactly have to go all out, but we can’t let our guards down either. She struggled initially, but something seemed to click after a while, and she proceeded to progress and improve in leaps and bounds.
She’s able to move freely while boosting herself with her telekinesis now, and she can generate more speed than she used to. She’s not quite as fast as Celes and I are, but she’s not that much slower either.
And her offense has improved a great deal too. Long-range is still a bit of a struggle for her, but she’s pretty capable with her attacks at mid-range or less at this point, her aim has improved and her attacks are strong enough to do some serious damage if they hit.
And over this last week or so, she’s started to land a few hits against Celes and I, which is a massive improvement from when she started.
She’s also developed some new telekinetic techniques...well, new to this world, at least, the techniques were inspired by some of the anime we showed her, as well as the advice I gave her based on Lucifer’s abilities.
As I shit towards her, she raised her hands in front of herself, a look of focus in her eyes before a powerful repelling force suddenly burst out of her hands, grazing my left bicep as I veered across to the right, before she turned towards me, her hands pointed at me, right as an intense pulling force began to drag me towards her.
I swiftly and powerfully spread out my wings to resist the pulling force, before zipping up into the air and swerving across as she whipped her arm up, firing out a telekinetic slash at me.
Nice, she’s a lot quicker to transition and chain her moved and attacks than she was before, her ability to adapt and change course has improved significantly.
She tried to use that pulling force on me again, but there was too much distance between us, she couldn’t exert enough force on me...this ability, as well as the one that pushes instead of pulls, they’re inspired by Lucifer’s Attract and Repel abilities.
Of course, Arucei’s versions of those abilities aren’t nearly as powerful as Lucifer’s were, but she’s steadily improving the more she uses them.
Alright, let’s test her evasion now.
I extended my tail out, splitting it in two before sending the pair of narrow, whip-like tails zipping down towards her with immense speed.
She raced away rapidly as my tails closed in on her, weaving across the ground to evade them as they steadily closed the gap.
She fired out a telekinetic blast as one of my tails shot in towards her left arm, blowing it away before swiftly ducking as the other one whipped across at her head, whizzing past the top of her head.
I haven’t sharpened my tails, so even if they hit her with enough force to break through her forcefield, they won’t slice through or anything...that said, it’ll probably hurt a whole lot.
I continued chasing after her with my tails, as she showed impressive agility and reaction time in evading them, before her eyes widened as she realized that I’d driven her into a corner, by the foot of a cliff.
My tails zipped in towards her from either side, her gaze darting across before she unleashed a small but intense telekinetic burst as my tails converged and closed in on her in unison, the burst canceling out their momentum.
Before I could pull them back, my eyes widened as she rapidly reached out and grabbed my tails, looping them around her hands and tightening her grip.
As she began to yank on them, her eyes widened in surprise as I swiftly tranformed my hands into blades and sliced my tails off, regenerating a new one as the severed tails plummeted and hit the ground. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
That was a nice move, she didn’t freeze up after getting cornered, and instead managed to almost turn the tables. Not bad at all, her battle sense is definitely a lot sharper now.
As I swooped down towards her, she fired a telekinetic blast at the ground, a cloud of dust bursting out around her, before I sharpened my senses and locked onto her position.
As I closed in, I blew the dust away with my wings, before rapidly veering across as she fired a devastating, shredding swirl of telekinetic at me, which ripped the skin across my right bicep to shreds, before I twisted my body across in mid-air and landed behind her before she could react, her body stiffening as I lightly pressed one of my blade-hands against the back of her neck.
"Wow, that was awesome! You’re getting better and better everyday, Arucei!" Called out Celes, as she jogged over with a grin.
"Oh, um...thanks, I appreciate it," She responded with a bashful smile, before turning her gaze to me.
"Mhm, that was really impressive. Way to go," I smiled, as I patted her head.
