Chapter 7: god’s blood

Among the piles of luggage Sora brought to the fifth floor for Ms. Valencia, he noticed something he wouldn’t typically find packed in luggage.

"I saw all the blood bags she came stashed with, I took the liberty of just moving a freezer and a refrigerator into her room. Now about my blood..."

"System, can Sasha drink my blood?"

[Your blood should be more beneficial to vampires than regular human blood. Exercise caution. This will also cause her to crave your blood more than other blood. Only use in unique circumstances.]

"I thought you’d never ask! Brie, I’m going to need your help here," Sasha said, with saliva dripping from her lips.

"I want you to be careful, Sasha. Ancient texts suggest that god blood is very, very addictive but very beneficial to vampires," Sora said.

"Ok, ok. I get it. That’s what Brie’s for anyway."

Sora made his neck available, and he’d never seen anything or anyone move so fast. Sasha quickly latched onto his neck, and he went into a sort of trance. He tried fighting it, but it was just serene and peaceful. He began to feel woozy until he felt Sasha unlatch. "Crazy, I couldn’t even fight it off."

He noticed Brie had Sasha pinned to the floor.

"Sasha, calm down." she said, sternly, while putting her hand on her forehead. "Go to sleep, you’re being too much."

"Sorry about that Sora, I didn’t think she’d go that crazy," Brie said while giving me a hug.

Her warm body made him feel comfortable and it was something he hadn’t felt for a long time. It was the feeling of someone who actually cared, and he desperately missed that feeling.

Sora returned the hug, giving her a gentle, but tight squeeze and said, "It’s’ not your fault, thank you for taking care of that," ending the nice hug with a kiss on the cheek.

Brie held her cheek where Sora kissed for a second, and turned away as her face turned beat red.

"Sasha, wake up," she said as she put her hand on her forehead.

"Sorry Sora. Thanks Brie. Holy hell, that’s some strong blood. Please don’t give that to me unless I’m dying or I need some type of super-buff," she said while shaking her head.

"No worries, like you said, that’s what Brie’s for anyway. I think we should draw a vial of it just in case we run into any trouble tonight?" Sora asked.

"Sure, but have Brie do it, I’ll leave for a bit, I need to take a walk that was embarrassing," Sasha said as she closed the door behind her.

Sora gave Brie a tour of the mansion, guided by his system. They learned there were 5 floors, a spa, a dojo, a massive library filled with hundreds of thousands of books, around 20 bedrooms, several meeting rooms, a room full of security stuff, which Sora figured his system used, as well as 10 bathrooms, a ballroom. Next, a showroom, filled with ornate armor, some of which Sora could only guess were used by the actual gods and goddesses, his master bedroom. Sora and Brie both realized they didn’t even get to see every room or the outside.

"Amazing, this place is like its own little city," Brie giggled as they stopped to draw a few vials of Sora’s blood in a room that Sora thought looked like a hospital with SSS equipment.

"Do not let her get a hold of this. Always place it in your dimensional space or a locked refrigerator."

"Absolutely, did you pick out a room?" Sora asked with a smile.

"Yes, the one next to your master bedroom if that’s ok? By the way, I can’t believe how many clothes you have stocked up in the bedroom’s walk-in closet!" she said enthusiastically, "Plus, if you don’t mind, I ordered a few things."

"Of course not, like I said, what’s mine is yours, etc. Also, can you explain the currency system, so I stop sounding like a complete moron," Sora asked.

With a big laugh, she said, "Well, vites are the basic currency. Decavites are 10 vites. Centavites are 100 vites. Vitamines 10,000 vites, Vitamantium 100,000 vites, and Ultravites 1,000,000 vites, which is our highest currency mark. Which is why I was shocked you were just throwing around Ultravites like it was nothing." fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

"Well, to be honest, they are nothing. Can you put that into context for me, so I better understand?" Sora asked. "I know I sound like a complete ass..."

"Ha! I don’t think you sound like a complete ass. My rent is 50,000 a month, so 10 vitamines." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

"How much do you think my mansion is worth?" Sora asked while rolling his eyes. It honestly embarrassed him.

"Who knows. Must be nice having a goddess and famous Uthra for parents," she shrugged.

"Or really lonely, but yes, the luxuries of having these parents are quite nice." Sora said with a friendly nudge. "Which is why I’m glad you and Sasha are here. You think she’s back and ready to head out?" he asked.

"It’s not like her to dwell on things, so yes, she should be back soon."

"System, where is Sasha?"

[She’s pacing around in your garden out front.]

With a big smile Sora said, "Wanna spook her, Brie?"

"What do you mean–"

"Teleport to Sasha Valencia!" Sora said as he grabbed Brie’s hand.

"Ahhhhhh!" Sasha yelled as she fell over.

The three of them burst out in laughter.

"Ok, time to get going to this dungeon, I have 20 blood bags, 40 potions, 20 mana potions, a mini fridge packed with a weeks’ worth of food and enough weapons and armor for all of us." Sora said.

Brie smiled and said, "I like when a man comes prepared."

Sora laughed. Brie and him were in this weird, flirty space despite knowing each other for about 36 hours.

Sasha rolled her eyes and muttered something like, "silly little lovebirds."
