Leila and Ignis found Leila’s castle and joined hands in the courtyard.
Leila looked deep within Ignis’ fiery eyes and spoke softly.
"Athena, we pray to ask you to bless us in marriage in hopes that one day we can save both of our races. Thank you for everything you and your gods and goddesses do for us every day. Please thank Brie for us. She helped unlock a mystery that I couldn’t solve. For your honor."
A giant lightning bolt struck both of them. They could feel Athena’s magic working through their bodies. They glowed for a moment and the ring on Leila’s finger changed into a dragon and a phoenix attached by a red heart.
"Thank you Athena!" Ignis said. He kissed Leila and they both smiled.
"Well, this has been an interesting journey. Hopefully we can unite our races with a child." Ignis said with a large smile.
"That would be amazing. I wonder what the little one would be? There’s so many hybrids these days, aside from Xander of course. He’s going to be quite powerful when he gets back."
They walked back to the portal, where Blue was waiting.
"Well, do you remember your majesty?"
"Yes, I do. Thank you Blue. Also, please tell the wyvern to stop worrying about the phoenixes. Ignis and I are married now and both of our races are basically extinct. The wyverns shouldn’t worry and need to build their population. The dragon realm is completely safe."
Blue tried to hide his discontent, "I’m very happy that we’re safe and that we will continue to grow, but I worry for your safety."
"Don’t. Please. I’ll be fine. I’m also in a party with Sora, Brie and Xander Lockheart. The gods will protect us all."
"Sora?! You know Sora! That’s amazing. He’s friends with Ignis?"
"I’m in the party too. He personally invited me." Ignis bragged with a large smile.
"Maybe you’re not so bad after all. We’ll see." Blue said as he flew away, revealing the portal to the phoenix realm.
"So wyverns treat you as their Queen as well? That’s amazing my love."
Leila smiled, grabbed Ignis’ hand and they jumped through the portal.

"About time!" Bishop said as he stood up from sitting on a large rock. "I think I’ve gone through 10 water capsules. It’s hot!"
Ignis laughed. "Well what did you expect from a land of people created from the sun’s explosion?"
Leila and Bishop laughed.
"Nice ring. Guess you two tied the knot. That was quick." Bishop laughed. "I can sense Athena’s blessing in you both. Congratulations. Can we please teleport back to Julius now?"
The three teleported back and Julius and Rissa greeted them with excitement.
"Woah! Look at you two. You have an ethereal glow to you. Look at that ring! You two are married aren’t you?" Julius said with a smile.
"Yes we are and Athena blessed us!" Ignis boasted.
Leila couldn’t contain her excitement as she showed them the ring.
"Oh and guess what? I saw Brie in my dream! She told me I was the first person she visited as a goddess from Paradise."
"That’s amazing! Why did you need to pray to her?" Rissa asked with a friendly smile.
"Someone put a memory block in my brain and she removed it. I remember everything about the phoenixes and dragons fighting, why Ignis and Indra’s parents are a giant flame and I think I know how to save the flame," Leila said with a smile.
"You didn’t mention that to me!" Ignis whined.
"Well I wanted to give you a surprise for our wedding. Can you get Indra in here please?"
Ignis walked outside and walked into the flame and allowed his brother to perch on him.
"Leila needs us, let’s go please."
"Well look at you Mr. married. I never thought I’d see the day."

"Don’t see many phoenixes flying around, do you?"
"It doesn’t have to be a phoenix. We have to find a solution to you having to feed the flame consistently. Maybe we can move it somewhere? I don’t know but it’s not fair you have to stay here because of it."
"It’s fine, I prefer being alone most of the time anyway."
Wondering what was taking them so long, Leila walked outside.
She transformed and shot large balls of fire into the flame repeatedly.
"Woah, that’s actually helping the flame. Mom and Dad are very active right now."
"I wonder if it’s because we’re married? Did she inherit some of our flame?"
"It’s possible. Let’s see what happens if we leave and she comes in?"
"Good idea. She did ask me to come get you."
The brothers walked out and saw Leila smile. She flew into the flame and it engulfed her completely. She sat there for two hours as they watched and discussed what she could possibly be doing.
"I’ll get the spaceship ready, I can already sense how much stronger our parents are." Ignis said.
"Do you really think she’s adding that much power to the flame?" Rissa asked. "I mean I know you got married and she’s the Queen of the dragons, but you two are direct descendents and phoenixes. Wouldn’t your flames help your parents more than hers?"
"Actually, you’d be surprised how much the people of this planet helped our parents. Their donations of fire helped significantly. It’s a shame Indra stays here alone all the time." Ignis said while walking toward the spaceship.
Leila turned into her human form, continuing to allow the fire to engulf her.
"Your parents are very nice. They congratulated me on our marriage and told me to tell both of you they’re very proud of you and happy that Indra stays with them. They’re grateful they have someone to talk to and someone who feeds them."
"So why have you hung out in there so long?" Ignis asked as he returned from the ship.
"Your flame now exists in me and they’re feeding from me. In my dragon form, they were able to gain enough power to live for at least 5 years without any other donations. So if Indra wants to leave, he can."
Indra perched on Ignis’ shoulders.
"Tell everyone thank you but I’d rather stay. Just don’t be strangers and visit sometimes. It’d be nice to see you more than once every 2 or 3 years."
"Oh, shit. I forgot about that. Sora’s son, Xander, lost control of time. On Exteria we were stuck in time and a year and 4 months passed for everyone else in this universe. I’ll return soon, I promise."
"Alright, love you baby brother. See you soon."
"Love you too big brother."
They got on the spacecraft and flew happily back to Exteria.
"I can’t believe you two got married already. Every other wedding has been a giant ceremony, including ours," Julius laughed.
"At least no one attacked ours," Leila teased.
"Hey, Julius kicked both those sins asses pretty easily. It was sexy."
"Aw, thanks babe. They pissed me off. Like don’t fuck with my wedding day." Julius laughed.
They enjoyed a nice flight home and landed inside the mansion’s walls.
"What’s up Jubelle!" Ignis yelled.
"Oh, hey everyone! You weren’t gone very long! How’d everything go?"
"Couldn’t have gone better." Leila smiled as he showed Jubelle the ring.
"I’m so happy for you two! I wonder what type of babies you’ll have!"
"What’s dragon and phoenix pregnancy like anyway," Julius asked.
"My mom said my dad got her pregnant and my brother was born a week later as a baby phoenix. My mother said her pregnancy with me was the same, but I turned into a humanoid right after birth." Ignis said while shrugging his shoulders. "I guess I couldn’t control my wings until I was about two years old."
"I carried our children for 4 months each. It’s strange how each race has a different pregnancy timeline." Leila said with a smile.
It was late, so everyone turned in for the night.
Ignis and Leila wasted no time consummating their marriage.

"Well, shit." the masked god muttered. "Hybrids here, mythics there. Next thing is going to be some other crazy hybrid. Why can’t things just be simple?"
"I ask myself that same question all the time. Like why did it take these dumbasses so long to complete my assignment?" Hades cackled as he appeared.
"Speaking of, don’t they have to take over additional planets for their failures."
"Sure do. No break either. They just finished their tenth and they are off to number eleven!"
"Which planet?"
"Oh you’ll see!" Hades laughed as he disappeared.
"What planet could he possibly want next?" the masked god shook his head while laughing.
