Qin Wenhao hadn’t wanted to leave.
The mother and daughter had just arrived in Beijing City. Even though the house looked clean, he had planned on helping them tidy up some more.
But seeing the mother and daughter insist, he had no choice but to nod. "Alright, I’ll head home for now and come back this afternoon."
"You don’t have to come back. We’ll be fine here."
Fu Mingxue’s words made Qin Wenhao glance at her.
He didn’t say anything more, though.
After bidding the mother and daughter farewell, he got into his younger cousin’s car and left.
The moment the car pulled away, Qin Wenshu became much more talkative. "Brother Wenhao, does our sister-in-law have other relatives in Beijing City? This house is incredible. I can’t believe it actually belongs to her family."
Qin Wenhao didn’t answer, merely shooting him a cool sidelong glance.
Qin Wenshu immediately shut his mouth.
In truth, Qin Wenhao was also quite puzzled. ’The Fu family has no relatives or connections in Beijing City. How could she possibly have this siheyuan?’

Meanwhile, the mother and daughter breathed a sigh of relief as they watched them leave.

Not only did they furnish the whole place for us, but they also cleaned it so spotlessly. You have to invite your friend over for a meal sometime to thank them properly."
The smile on Fu Mingxue’s face instantly froze.
’What friend?’
Mrs. Fu spoke up again. "Oh, and you can invite your friend to the wedding reception, too."
Fu Mingxue was speechless.
She forced a smile. "Mom, they’re probably very busy. We’ll see when the time comes."
"Alright," Mrs. Fu said. "But we must be sure to thank them properly when the time comes."
Fu Mingxue really didn’t want to discuss this anymore. She quickly changed the subject. "Mom, didn’t you say you wanted to take a bath? Go on, boil some water and get cleaned up!"
"This place is much better than our old home. It even has a proper bathing room. I’ll go boil the water now. You should have a good wash later, too."
There was even firewood in the kitchen.
There wasn’t much, but it was enough to boil some water.
Fu Mingxue breathed another sigh of relief as she watched her mother head to the kitchen.
Looking around the courtyard, she felt once again that she really had to thank the system.
’This is amazing!’

The car had just pulled up to the entrance of the Qin Family Mansion when they saw members of the Qin family already waiting.
Qin Wenhao got out of the car. "Grandpa."
Mr. Qin ignored him, his gaze darting into the car. But his granddaughter-in-law was nowhere to be seen.
He immediately shot a glare at Qin Wenhao:
"Where’s your mother-in-law? And your wife? Why didn’t they come? Where did you take them?"
"My mother-in-law has a house in Beijing City, so they went there first. They’ll come over tomorrow."
