Chapter 2181: Chapter 2084: Offering Myself in Gratitude

Huo Sining and Gu Xu returned to the hotel, and only then did they release the Emperor from the Space.

Just like what the people brought by Windsor Reed said, a gentleman like Windsor Caesar, when caught by that group, couldn’t have had a good time.

These drug dealers don’t care if you’re some royal nobleman, once you’re in their hands, you’ll still suffer.

So when Huo Sining and Gu Xu entered that private cell, they found that the always elegant Emperor was locked in a room, shackled, with wounds all over his body, already unconscious.

These drug dealers indeed act lawlessly, without compassion for hostages. Seeing the Emperor’s wounds, Huo Sining couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness, but at that moment, she couldn’t care about anything else and just had to get him out first.

Once at the hotel, Huo Sining hurriedly took out the medical kit.

Seeing his wife trying to clean the Emperor’s wounds, Gu Xu, full of jealousy, quickly stopped her:

"I’ll do it, darling, you go rest. I’ll change his clothes and clean the wounds, then you can come help."

Huo Sining turned her head, just about to ask if Gu Xu could handle it, but then she saw her husband’s darkened face and realized what was going on, she couldn’t help but laugh.

This guy is quite jealous, huh.

Thinking that Gu Xu has been in the military for years, with countless missions under his belt, handling wounds should be no problem, Huo Sining didn’t insist, handing over the task to the very jealous Gu Xu. She smiled and walked to the living room.

Gu Xu, full of frustration, looked at the unconscious Emperor on the bed and snorted lightly, thinking to himself, even my wife hasn’t been served by me this carefully, you’re lucky this time, kid.

Though unwilling, Gu Xu stripped off the tattered clothes, filled the bathtub, and threw the guy in, washing away the blood clots, then carried him out, using iodine and bandages, carefully treating the wounds, and changed him into clean clothes.

Once he finished, Huo Sining received the food she ordered, and Gu Xu didn’t linger in the room, leaving the Space for Huo Sining, he went to the living room to eat.

Huo Sining quickly transferred Spiritual Energy into the Emperor; his internal injuries soon healed, though the wounds looked scary, it was mostly superficial. Huo Sining only treated the severe ones, leaving others exposed.

This approach was to avoid raising Windsor Caesar’s suspicion, and to deal with Windsor Reed, considering no one escapes such a situation unhurt, overdoing it might be counterproductive, even making Windsor Reed think that Tranleva is good.

After this, Huo Sining returned to the living room, where Gu Xu was organizing the dishes, having already served her a meal. Seeing her emerge, he awkwardly hummed, clearly unhappy about rescuing Windsor Caesar with Huo Sining.

Huo Sining understood Gu Xu’s staged act, approached with a smile, playfully clinging to his arm, coquettishly whispering:

"Honey~~~"

Gu Xu, vulnerable to his wife’s tactics, quickly relented, his stern expression melting away.

"Just this once. That kid has ulterior motives towards you, I already can’t stand him, no way I’d be friends with such a person. Next time he’s in trouble, I definitely won’t help. Got it?"

Though Gu Xu’s face softened, his tone remained strong, half childish, half serious.

Pity the so-called threat seemed juvenile in tone, making Huo Sining internally amused, but externally assent: "Got it, there won’t be a next time."

Gu Xu found satisfaction in her response but continued cautiously:

"Not just me, you can’t save him either. If something dangerous happens again, you can’t go!"

Knowing he was flaring up like a grumpy tiger, Huo Sining stifled laughter, nodding earnestly: "Okay, okay, won’t go, can we eat now? I’m starving after all this."

Gu Xu intended to say more, but his wife’s hunger silenced him, transforming into a devoted companion, swiftly serving her food, explaining:

"Here’s your favorite dish, the fish has no fishy taste, I removed the bones for you... Eat more, you’re pregnant, even if you’re not hungry, our daughter is. Imagine her running around like you if you keep this up..."

Bubbling with chatter, Gu Xu emerged.

Huo Sining enjoyed both the meal and Gu Xu’s tender care, her happiness nearly bursting forth.

Unintentionally, the Emperor awoke to witness this happiness.

Seeing Huo Sining’s bliss, the Emperor felt a pang of mixed loss and relief, leaning on the doorframe, watching Gu Xu doting on her, before sardonically commenting:

"Hey, how long are you two going to spread this public display of affection?"

Startled by Caesar’s voice, Huo Sining turned with delight: "Emperor, you’re awake?"

Gu Xu stood with crossed arms, warily glaring at this rival.

He wished this guy stayed asleep, interrupting his sweet moment was infuriating.

Had he known, he wouldn’t have helped clean up that guy!

Caesar, realizing he’d been saved after waking in the hotel, hadn’t expected his saviors to be the couple. Though intending to thank them, Gu Xu’s glowering changed his mind, prompting a mischievous smile:

"Since you saved my life, I don’t know how to thank you enough. How about offering myself to you, Miss Huo?"
