Chapter 2358: Chapter 2358: Unable to Move

The cave was pitch dark. At first, it was still manageable; they could slowly crawl forward step by step. But by the time he reached the middle, tragedy struck—his large frame got stuck, unable to move.

He struggled desperately, but the more he struggled, the tighter he got stuck. Unsure if it was out of sheer panic, his breathing grew more rapid. Just when he thought he would die in the cave, the Thin Man appeared holding an oil lamp.

The Thin Man asked in bewilderment, "Fatty Brother, what are you doing?"

Wasn’t his brother supposed to stay away? What was he doing blocking the way now?

"Big Brother, you’re finally back, please help me, I’m stuck here and can’t move!" Seeing his big brother appear with the oil lamp, he felt as if he saw a ray of hope, almost bursting into tears. He thought he was about to die in this cave, but fortunately, his brother came back.

The Thin Man was at a loss, his brother blocking his path left him in a dilemma—how could he save him now? He was stuck here too.

"I didn’t bring any tools, how am I supposed to help?"

He had nothing but an oil lamp in his hand; what could he use to dig through the dirt?

"Then what should we do? Surely we can’t just wait here to die?" The Fat Man was filled with regret. If he had known, he would have never come down into the cave. Not only did he trap himself, but he also put his big brother in danger.

"Fatty Brother, you were fine up there. Why did you come down here? Aren’t you just making things worse?" The Thin Man blurted out in anger. Searching everywhere at the War Prince’s Mansion for his brother’s token, he had been worried and anxious, searching for half a day, without a clue, tired and hungry, just wanting to go back for a meal and a rest, who knew his path would be blocked by his brother too, now stuck in the middle of the cave.

With his big belly trapped, the Fat Man was in extreme discomfort and said with difficulty, "Big Brother hasn’t come back for a long time, I was just worried about you and came to see. Who knew the cave was so small, and I got stuck."

"You knew you were fat, yet you still came down, aren’t you just putting me at risk?" The Thin Man, naturally irritable, was now starving and exhausted, stuck here, his tone grew increasingly harsh.

This tunnel he dug was narrow and small, barely enough for one person to crawl through. Now his brother blocked the way, trapping them both.

"Big Brother, why are you talking like this?" The Fat Man’s belly hurt like hell, and with his big brother scolding him, his heart was very upset.

The two brothers sat there, in the middle of the cave, staring at each other, unable to advance or retreat, watching as the wick in the oil lamp was about to burn out, soon leaving them in complete darkness.

Both brothers panicked. This trip to the Capital, not only did they fail to retrieve the token, but they also risked their lives, such a wrongful way to die.

"Big Brother, quickly think of a way, I don’t want to die here." Stuck for nearly four hours, both were hungry and exhausted.

Without tools, what could they do? Dig with bare hands!

Desperate to stay alive, the Thin Man, ignoring everything else, placed the oil lamp down and started clawing desperately at the soil.

"Big Brother, why are you digging elsewhere? Start with the dirt on me, free me first, I’m painfully stuck." Crawling to this narrow spot, he was so squeezed that he had trouble breathing.

"Oh, right!" The Thin Man turned around and began digging at the dirt around the Fat Man.

The ground was so hard that his ten fingers started bleeding as he dug.

The oil lamp was burning out bit by bit, and the Thin Man quickened his pace.

"Poof!"

The oil lamp went out, plunging the surroundings into total darkness.

Both were filled with a sense of panic.

Indeed, in a cave this small, unable to turn, with limited air—being in such an environment was inherently terrifying. And with the oil lamp extinguished, it only heightened their fear.
