Chapter 135: Chapter 135: Xingyun Media’s Development Path

In the early morning, sunlight found its way through the gaps in the curtains, bringing slivers of light into the dim master bedroom.

Wu Yun gently pushed aside the leg draped over him and rose from the bed, revealing a powerful physique.

Gazing at the costumes scattered across the floor—a bunny girl outfit, a nurse’s uniform, professional attire, and even a swimsuit—Wu Yun couldn’t help but reminisce about the previous night. He finally understood the age-old saying: the land of tenderness is a hero’s tomb.

’No wonder. If a hero’s legs have turned to jelly, how is he supposed to lead his troops into battle?!’

After finding his slippers under a torn black silk stocking, Wu Yun slipped them on and walked into the bathroom.

When he came out of the bathroom, freshened up, Wu Ying and Jiang Xinyi were already awake, dressed, and starting to clean up the mess on the floor.

Wu Yun paid them no mind, heading straight to the kitchen to start making breakfast.

Xingyun Media.

The receptionist stared in astonishment as the two female presidents walked into the company behind a man. She quickly snapped out of it, stood up, and greeted them, "President Wu, good morning!"

As they walked down the hallway toward the smaller offices, Jiang Xinyi joked from behind, "President Wu certainly has a lot of pull. When it’s just the two of us coming in, the receptionist never even says good morning."

Wu Ying covered her mouth to hide a giggle. "Well, at the next meeting, I’ll be sure to tell the receptionist to add that to your morning routine!"

"Hmph, it’s not like I’m desperate to hear it!"

Listening to the two women bicker behind him, Wu Yun smiled. ’Last night’s "bickering" was pretty spectacular, too.’

The two women went to their respective offices, and Wu Yun walked into the chairman’s office, a room he had only visited a few times.

It seemed a few more decorative items had been added since his last visit.

On the desk sat a new Apple computer, the one with a bite taken out of it.

Some green plants had been placed in the corner as well. Wu Yun knew nothing about them and couldn’t identify the species.

The cabinet behind the desk was also lined with books, though he couldn’t tell if they were just for decoration.

Wu Yun sat down in the spotless executive chair, turned on the computer in front of him, and entered the password.

He wasn’t used to Apple’s operating system, so it took him a moment to adjust before he managed to open the folder Wu Ying had pointed him to.

After a little while, Wu Yun had browsed through all the recent files, gaining a better understanding of Xingyun Media’s core business.

Since Xingyun Media was still a young company, its business direction was relatively singular, primarily relying on the Weibo platform.

Thanks to the development plan Wu Yun had provided, Wu Ying and Jiang Xinyi had gradually stepped away from managing their original accounts. The company now had a dedicated team to handle them for promotions and other publicity.

They, in turn, were focusing their energy on company management. The company was currently in negotiations with live-streaming platforms like Douyu and had recruited several streamers of various genres to test the waters. For now, their "studios" were just a few converted residential apartments.

Unfortunately, in his previous life, Wu Yun hadn’t known much about gaming streamers. The only names he’d even heard of were people like PDD and Lu Benwei.

Wu Yun spent tens of thousands from his System’s store to purchase these individuals’ resumes, compiling their names and pre-existing career histories into a spreadsheet.

He sent the spreadsheet to their three-person group chat, then said, "President Wu, President Jiang, come to my office for a moment."

A moment later, there was a knock on the door.

Sure enough, just as Wu Yun expected, Jiang Xinyi walked up behind him, leaned over the back of his chair, and cooed playfully, "My dear President Wu, what did you call us for? Did you want to shoot an office AV?"

She was referring to the "study materials" Wu Yun had sent them before. In fact, he had made them review the material just last night.

"Be serious! Sit down in front. I need to discuss something with you."

Wu Yun pointed to the two chairs in front of his desk.

Only then did Jiang Xinyi leisurely circle the desk and take a seat in front of him.

Wu Yun watched her shapely rear, accentuated by her professional attire, and was sorely tempted to have her turn in her "office AV" homework right then and there.

"Ahem!" Wu Yun cleared his throat. "Take a look at the spreadsheet I just sent to the group chat. It’s a list of more than ten newcomers with streaming potential that I’ve researched. I want you to reach out to them, see if you can bring them over to the company."

"If they’re already signed somewhere else, then use them as a model for how to cultivate our own streamers."

"The specifics are up to you. Good luck, my two future tycoons! I’ll be counting on you both to be my sugar mamas!"

Wu Yun’s joke earned him an eye-roll from Jiang Xinyi.

"The company needs to diversify; we can’t be dependent on a single platform. Everyone knows you don’t put all your eggs in one basket."

"I was just looking over the past reports," Wu Yun said with a smile. "You’ve done an excellent job, so I think you deserve a reward!"

Jiang Xinyi pouted. "Don’t tell me it’s another reward of a few hundred million each?"

She licked her lips. "You just gave both of us those ’hundreds of millions’ last night. You’re so loaded!"

Wu Yun was exasperated. "Is that really the kind of image I have in your minds?"

Even Wu Ying, who had been listening quietly the whole time, nodded in agreement.

"Alright, fine! Getting back on topic... if you do this well, the company’s valuation won’t be any less than the ’reward’ I gave you last night."

Both Wu Ying and Jiang Xinyi’s expressions turned eager. They didn’t think Wu Yun was just making empty promises; based on his plans, the company was already profitable.

Their dream of buying their own homes in Rongcheng could be realized this year—and not just any homes, but townhouses or spacious luxury apartments.

Wu Yun stood up, walked between the two women, and placed his hands on the backs of their chairs as he spoke.

"Just let me know if you need anything. When I’m not around, you two are in charge. Now, go get busy! We’ll have lunch together, then I have to head back this afternoon."

After a bit more small talk, Wu Yun gave each of the women a pat on the rear as they stood up, eliciting playful squeals.

As the last one out, Jiang Xinyi paused at the door to give Wu Yun a sultry look before leaving.

He had just sat back down when his phone chimed with a new message.

Wu Yun picked up his phone and smirked as he read it.

Xu Chenxi: "Young Master Wu, I rarely drink. I got a little carried away last night because I was so happy, and I’m not sure what I might have said. I hope you won’t hold it against me."

"I honestly just want to be friends with you. I’m not one of those girls who only thinks about money. I much prefer to be self-reliant."

"So we’re friends now, right? [Hehe] [Hehe] [Hehe]."

Reading these classic ’green tea’ lines, Wu Yun smiled and typed back, "Of course we’re friends. You’re welcome to visit Rongcheng anytime. Bring your friends, too; the more the merrier."

Xu Chenxi sent back a happy emoji.

Then, she sent a voice message.

"Young Master Wu, I’m so happy I met you. Next time you’re in Chang’an, I’ll be sure to give you a grand welcome. We should still chat when we’re free, you know, just about work and life and things."

"Oh! Right. After we talk, you should remember to delete our chat history. I’d hate for your girlfriend to see it and get the wrong idea!"

"Okay."

’Wow, this green tea is really laying it on thick to get ahead,’ Wu Yun thought to himself.
