Chapter 80: 080: DOTING BEASTMEN [3]

Hearing his words, I couldn’t stop myself from blushing. How was I going to save myself? I thought, but then Bibi and Liora rushed into the room.

"I’m starving, come on, dress up already!" Bibi screamed and rushed toward me, dragging me into the bathroom. When the door finally burst open, I was already dressed. Liora held my hands and placed me behind her protectively.

"Won’t you guys let her breathe? How long do you want to keep weighing her down with how heavy you guys are?" she pointed her fingers at them while scolding, and I bit down on my lips.

"See? She’s already tired, yawning non-stop!" she added, and my eyes widened.

"Even her legs might break soon because of you guys," she added, and my cheeks turned tomato red. I quickly reached out and covered her mouth with my palm. She laughed and winked at me as if she knew exactly what she was doing.

"We should eat," I said, but Bibi placed her hands on her waist.

"Now that Liora mentioned it, it’s actually true. You guys don’t give Raven any space," she said and turned toward me.

"How do you cope with four? I barely cope with one like this," she blurted out, and I shrugged my shoulders awkwardly.

Azrael just sat down, crossed his legs, and chuckled darkly. My hand slipped away from Liora’s lips, and everyone turned toward him.

"Ahh, Liora, the hickey marks on your neck are still visible," he said, and Liora’s eyes widened. Her cheeks turned red instantly, and she quickly placed her hands over her neck while staring down at the ground.

He turned toward Bibi, and his smile stretched wider.

"Don’t you dare!" she warned, giving him a sharp glare, but he gazed at me and grinned even wider.

"You can’t even walk properly after last night," he said, and Bibi immediately looked away the moment my gaze landed on her. She quickly placed her hands over her stomach and pouted.

"I’m hungry. Enough with the talks," she said before rushing toward me and dragging both Liora and me out. I couldn’t help but laugh softly.

We sat down, and my gaze instantly fixed on the meal in front of me. I couldn’t help but giggle with delight.

I lifted my spoon, carrying a piece of beef to eat. The second I placed it in my mouth, I couldn’t help but moan with satisfaction. It tasted sooo good. The spices, the sauce, the mouthwatering texture, everything blended together perfectly.

I moved my hand to grab another piece, but Thyrian took the spoon from my hand.

I looked at him, raising a brow. Nooo, I thought in my head.

I watched my other beastmen take their seats, and I clicked my tongue.

"What?" I asked Thyrian, but he only flashed me a warm smile.

"Really? You should have waited for us," he stated, and my lips parted to say something, but then the door opened, and Bibi’s and Liora’s beastmen walked in.

"Huh?" I muttered in shock, and Liora turned toward me.

"It’s a family dinner before you go explore the world."

I smiled hearing her words. So she did listen to me when I ranted about wanting a family dinner before leaving for vacation or work. Knowing she remembered made a smile settle on my lips, and even my annoyance with Thyrian slowly disappeared.

I picked up my plate and spoon, ready to serve myself, but Veyra held my hand, stopping me, before I could even say anything, he placed four huge pieces of beef onto my plate and poured a generous amount of sauce over them, adding a side bun too.

I stared and couldn’t stop myself from giggling softly. My other beastmen didn’t hold back either.

Ryker set aside a different bowl filled with fish and sauce before sliding it toward me. "Try this. What do you think?" he asked, and my lips parted, but then—

"Have a drink too," he added, placing a glass cup filled with apple juice beside me.

Azrael didn’t move an inch and simply looked away the moment my gaze landed on him. I sighed softly, he still hadn’t changed.

I picked up my spoon and tasted the beef sauce before gently smearing it over the bun. The spice hit my tongue again.

I watched as Veyra’s nervous smile slowly got replaced with pride.

"Eat mine next," Ryker said, and I gently dipped my spoon into the bowl before putting the fish into my mouth.

It melted instantly, and I moaned softly. "So good," I said and wiped imaginary tears away from my eyes dramatically.

"Gosh, I feel so jealous. They’re feeding you while mine isn’t," Liora complained, and her eagle beastman stopped peeling the prawns.

He raised a brow and stared down at her plate. He had clearly already been putting prawns into her food.

"Hmph." She looked away and placed her hands beneath her chest dramatically.

He laughed softly and gently touched her cheeks.

"You love prawns more, so I was serving those for you," he said, and Liora’s smile widened instantly, she looked away while blushing before clearing her throat.

"Hm," she mumbled softly before planting a kiss against his cheek.

I blushed on their behalf and looked away, but then Veyra’s lips suddenly landed on mine.

I froze.

The entire table burst into maniacal laughter except Azrael.

"Really, Raven, how did you get such doting beastmen? I want one too," Liora said, and her eagle beastman paused before gazing at her.

She laughed awkwardly. "I’m joking. I’m happy with only you," she said before planting a soft kiss against his lips.

Bibi rolled her eyes dramatically. It was only her and Azrael wearing those bitter expressions on their faces.

"Get a room," Bibi groaned out, and we all burst into laughter.

"Really, it’s inappropriate showing all this love here," Azrael backed her up, and she raised her glass at his words before sipping her drink.

"Bibi, what other things can you get freely from the Palace?" I asked, and her eyes shimmered instantly.

"It depends on my mood. When I’m super mad, my aunt sends me lots of gifts to calm me down and even visits personally most times... it’s like she’s trying to run away from the workload of the empire," she said, and Liora gasped.

"Soo true. Even my stepmother has a hard time dealing with Palace politics. She got slapped once before. I guess she did something wrong, and someone with a higher status decided to remind her who the boss was," she said, and Bibi smiled.

"Your stepmom must really be evil," she said, and Liora nodded slowly.

"She made my life a living hell. She didn’t even visit when she heard I died. How evil. At least she should have shown her face. She took care of me when I was little, so it hurt a bit," she said, and I scoffed softly.

"Who cares about her?" I said, and they both turned to stare at me.

"True, we shouldn’t," Bibi agreed before turning back toward Liora. She gently held her cheeks.

"Forget about your stepmom and the whole dying thing. You’re back now!" she said, and Liora smiled warmly.

"Of course," she replied, and I just stared quietly.

The way everyone seemed to care so deeply...Even Bibi’s quiet beastman was staring at her with a smile, his eyes sparkling softly.

He must really admire her.

I looked away when I felt a playful punch against my stomach. I turned toward Ryker, and he moved closer before planting a kiss against my forehead.

"Cute," he mumbled softly into my ear, and I blushed, but froze when Thyrian wiped the messy corner of my lips with a napkin.

"Continue eating. You seem like you’ve lost weight within the space of three days," he said, and I stared down at my body.

Did I?

I trembled softly as I felt his thumb press gently against my cheek.

"We don’t want you skinny. Come on, eat up," he said, and I raised a brow.

A mischievous thought crawled into my head, and my lips parted slowly. "What if I get fatter? Wouldn’t I become ugly?" I asked, and all my beastmen chuckled in unison.

"Fat? We would all love a chubby Raven," they said together in unison.
