Eden opened his door and asked:
"What the hell are you doing he..."
Before he could finish Klay pushed him against the door and kissed him. Eden didn’t push him back and sunk into the kiss wrapping his arms around his neck. Klay deepened the kiss and Eden sucked on his tongue.
When he ran out of breath he pushed him slightly and asked:
"What do you want?"
Klay smirked:
"Isn’t it clear?"
Eden pushed him and went to his walk-in closet as he said:
"You’re a serial dater and I don’t go for people like that."
Klay sleeps with everything that moves and Eden is not down for that. Even if he is his husband he’ll never share him. Seriously how is Cael such a whore in every damn universe?
Klay followed him and said:
"Why do you need to overthink things? Let’s just have fun."
Eden walked to him and said seriously:
"I only get into serious relationships while you spend the night with a different person every night."
Klay swallowed as he looked into his green eyes. He is indeed a serial dater but he never hired an investigator and showed up at someone’s house because he wanted him so much.
Breaking into someone’s house isn’t in his habits let alone having intense feelings like the one he has for Eden. He never felt more than a physical interest in anyone that’s why he already helps run Ryatt Industry. It’s the only thing he’s interested in besides his mother until he looked into Eden’s eyes today. He wants him and he won’t abandon pursuing him.
"Then let’s be together."
Eden smiled.
"I don’t know you and you don’t know me so let’s not. You should leave."
Eden looked at his disappointed eyes who quickly turned confident.
"Just so you know I won’t give up."
"I only believe what I see."
"Then you will."
Eden smirked and locked himself in the bathroom. Klay looked at the closed door deep in thought. No matter what it takes he’ll be mine. He left with a smile.
Eden woke up in a good mood. He had breakfast delivered since his staff will only be here this afternoon. By the time he was done getting dressed he heard someone ring. He went to get his delivery and wasn’t surprised when he saw that Klay was holding it. Eden paid the delivery man standing next to him and grabbed the bag out of his hand before slamming the door in his face.
Klay had blocked it with his foot and followed Eden to the dining room. He took a seat on his left and pulled out the breakfast he had brought. Eden ate while using his computer. He looked at the computer but he was thinking about something he finds puzzling since he entered this universe. He doesn’t get why if his father had a dragon spa why don’t Bastian and Alessa have it too?
He checked Versem to find out more about how each person gets their spa and understood. Every person has every spa gene whether it’s dragon, snake, ox, or rabbit but each person’s number of genes for each spa can be more prominent than others. Like Eden’s father, he had more dragon genes than any other so his spa was a dragon while his sister and brother had more snake and rat genes in them.
The reason they don’t want a dragon to be with someone who isn’t a dragon is that as long as someone in your family was a dragon like Eden’s grandfather then even if your spa isn’t a dragon they’ll still have more dragon genes in them and it will make their spa no matter what it is stronger. Even if his aunt and uncle aren’t dragons because of their powerful spa everyone can tell that they’re from an old family of dragons and they’re respected.
The other reason that people don’t accept dragons being with someone different despite the elitism is that dragons are the only spa who can create a hybrid. Instead of them having children whose spa will be whichever’s genes are more prominent they’ll become half-dragon and the second most prominent gene. They all believe a hybrid would be unable to function seeing that his animal nature will be two times higher than other people like he would be unable to think.
This is ridiculous, the fact that it’s a spirit animal makes it that there’s no way their animal nature would be able to take over. How are people so stupid? Eden rolled his eyes, he is going to show the world that the fact that he is a hybrid is the reason why he is the most powerful. Everyone already knows his face, when his father died and it was announced that his son would be inheriting the company he was followed everywhere. The board of directors and shareholders were not okay with Eden taking over and they had a meeting without him. They voted that he would wait until they are sure he can think rationally before becoming the president. Since Eden owns 51 percent of the company they still needed his agreement and they got it. His uncle and aunt convinced him saying that with him seeing his father’s ghost and being unable to sleep it would be best to wait despite being 20. He’s going to deal with all of them including one particular board member. Arya works at the company but he never set foot there when he owns it. How ridiculous is that? Those son of a bitch are using everything that belongs to him but now that he is here it’s over. He checked the state of his company and their contract. All the contracts were in order besides the one with Ryatt Industry. He stopped eating and focused on it. He checked both contracts they signed with them, the one his father had drafted and then the new one his aunt and uncle did.
He laughed in anger. Is this a fucking joke? How can those people be related to his father and be this stupid? When his father signed a contract with Ryatt Industry Knox Fort was already a multimillion-dollar company. Ryatt Industry decided to sign a temporary contract to make sure that the company could back up everything it said and it did. They produce cellphone computers and tablets so security is important.
This is genuinely the best cyber security company in the world and his father knew it, he believed that they would want to sign a longer contract and he was right but before they could do it he passed and Klay’s mother Luna had the meeting with Bastian and Alessa. Bastian and Alessa felt that having Ryatt Industry as a client and having the information made public would bring them more business with big companies so they agreed to make them pay less in exchange.
Luna was smart enough to agree and now they don’t pay nearly as much as they should. They indeed brought them more clients but the information would’ve been made public a year later so they agreed to sign a five-year contract taking a 20% pay cut when all they had to do is be patient. Instead of using the lawyer his father did before his death they fired him because they were irritated that he was the one who drew the secret testament.
The lawyer the company has right now is a yes man so even if he thought it was stupid he didn’t dare to say anything. Seems like he has to draw a new contract. Even without Ryatt Industry as a client, his company would be more than fine. His father’s hard work speaks for itself. He has a few things to do before he can deal with the people at the company, a lot of heads are going to roll that’s for sure.
Alessa screamed and her assistant immediately entered her office and asked in worry:
"President Knox is everything alright?"
Alessa who had been looking at her computer screen wide-eyed paused the video and ordered in a shaky voice:
"Go get Bastian."
The assistant took a step forward and asked:
"Are you sure you don’t need..."
Before she could finish Alessa howled:
"Go get him now!"
The assistant left and a few seconds later Bastian entered her office. She closed the blinds and locked the door and hugged him tightly. Bastian held her and led her to the chair. He sat on it and pulled her on his lap. He asked worriedly:
"What happened?"
Alessa pressed play and Bastian’s face darkened.
When the video was over he asked:
"Whoever got the video you’re sure that he didn’t see it?"
"No, he didn’t I was with him. What are we going to do now we can’t even use the video to get rid of Eden and he knows that Arya is your daughter."
Bastian thought for a few seconds and said:
"I know someone who can remake the video I’ll just cut the parts he mentions us and he’ll make it look like the real tape."
Hearing that Alessa felt reassured and she kissed him. Bastian kissed her back, he could feel how excited she was. That’s what he loves about Alessa she’s not the type of person to dwell on bad feelings.
He’s not going to let anyone to her and his daughter away let alone Eden. At least he knows that that fool won’t say anything since he is so desperate for their love. He could tell yesterday that he fully lost his mind or he would have gone to the police and said that they hired someone to have him killed but he truly believed it was his dead brother’s spirit. Soon Knox Fort will be theirs and Eden will rot in jail.
