When Eden’s name was called he stopped in place and turned around. He asked with a smile:
"What can I do for you Xinjie?"
Xinjie gnashed her teeth as she looked at him furiously. She walked to him her dark eyes never leaving Eden. When Kuang saw the look in her eyes he knew she would try to kill him. He saw the way the Emperor looked at Eden he doesn’t doubt that he loves him.
He’s already going to be executed for killing his son the only person left who can represent the Miaos is Xinjie. He yelled:
"Xinjie you’re the only person left in our family don’t do something stupid." fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
She turned around and yelled:
"You just killed Jingxuan and you dare say that?"
More tears fell on Kuang’s face. He never meant to kill him he doesn’t know what happened. He just felt the need to stand up and slit his throat. He was going to wait for the emperor to be done with Jingxuan to make Eden kill Shenyan. Thinking about that he frowned and looked at Eden. When he saw his malicious smile he said incredulously:
"It was you you’re the one who made me do this. The elixir you gave me had poison in it."
Xinjie looked at his father then at Eden confused.
When she saw his mocking smile she looked at her father stunned.
"The elixir it was for you wasn’t it?"
When he kept asking about Eden and the elixir he gave Weilong he thought that maybe he was sick but he told him it was for Jingxuan and like a fool, she believed him. Eden did something to it so he would be able to control him just like his father was going to do to him. Eden must have known what they were up to it’s the only way.
Kuang closed his eyes and took a breath. All this time his children told him that Eden was manipulative but he didn’t believe them and now they are ruined. He opened his eyes and wanted to walk to his daughter but the guards held him in place. He murmured:
"I’m sorry this is all my fault I’ve been sick and I knew the elixir Eden gave Weilong would’ve been able to save me. I should’ve listened to you and Jingxuan when you told me how manipulative he is I just didn’t want you to worry."
Xinjie looked at her father as more tears fell on her face.
How could her father keep that from them? If he would’ve talked to them they would’ve found another solution. She would’ve had the emperor find the best alchemist in the empire. When she saw the pain in her father’s eyes she felt heartbroken. He wanted to stay alive for them and Eden used that against him. She turned around slowly her hateful eyes on Eden. Kuang yelled again:
"Xinjie don’t you’re the only one left from our family. Don’t let him manipulate you as he manipulated me."
Eden burst out laughing.
"Is this a joke? You tried to go against me and the people that I love did you think I would just take it laying down?"
Xinjie yelled:
"We haven’t done anything to you!"
Eden walked to her and said:
"Even now you dare to lie. First, you tried to have my father killed at the border and today you were planning to kill me, my unborn baby, and my son!"
When Xinjie felt his murderous aura she shivered and reminded herself that she has a weapon. The entire room was in shock hearing Eden’s words, now they understood why the emperor and Shenyan acted the way they did. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
Xinjie looked behind Eden and met Shenyan’s eyes. She sneered:
"Do you think that Eden is going to keep pretending to care for you once he gives the emperor an heir? He never cared about you all he did was use you so his future son could become emperor. Everyone knows how much the emperor adores you."
Shenyan smiled. He took a seat and said:
"Keep me out of your conversation, you’re manipulation didn’t work before and it certainly won’t now. I trust my mother nothing you say will change that."
Eden sneered:
"You’re trying to use him when you and your father planned for me to kill him in front of everyone? You really have some nerve."
Xinjie looked at Shenyan and warned:
"Trust me you’re going to regret calling him mother."
When Shenyan rolled his eyes Eden chuckled and Yecheng’s eyes flashed in amusement.
Xinjie who had seen their emperor’s contempt decided to ask before deciding what she would do. When Yecheng met her eyes she asked:
"Does his majesty even love me?"
She loves the emperor more than she ever loved anyone and since she became empress she did everything in her power to get closer to Shenyan because she knows that the emperor loves that brat. Despite all her efforts, he treated her like she was beneath him but she kept trying for Yecheng.
Even if Yecheng never showed anything she was sure he loved him since he was closer to her than anyone else in the harem but she saw how worried he was for Eden when he was pale. How could he check on him and not her when she had just lost her brother and her father was responsible? Does he love Eden or is he just pretending because Shenyan loves him? Everyone looked at the emperor wanting to know the answer.
Yecheng is cold and he never shows anything, even if he spent a little more time with Xinjie he never showed preferential treatment to any of the concubines before Eden. Yecheng said:
"The only person we love is Eden and we plan on dispersing the harem. We won’t be needing your service handling the harem anymore."
Xinjie let out a shaky breath in shock. He loves Eden so much he wants to disperse the harem. He doesn’t even let her speak to him casually yet he plans on doing something so big for Eden.
Kuang felt heartbroken seeing his daughter crying. Since he is already going to die he yelled:
"How can you be so cold-hearted? She’s been at your side loving you for years while Eden is using your son to seduce you."
Yecheng walked down the stairs and walked to him. Kuang felt fear when he saw his dark eyes from so close.
Yecheng said:
"We are the emperor we don’t owe an explanation to you or anyone."
Yecheng looked around the room and warned:
"If anyone speaks derogatorily about our consort we will make sure you suffer until your miserable end."
Everyone knelt in fear and bowed their head. They were already scared of Yecheng and Shenyan but now they also fear Eden.
Xinjie looked at Yecheng and knew she would never gain his love. He loves Eden and they are about to have a baby. Now that her brother is dead and his father will be executed she’s all alone. If that wasn’t enough she doesn’t have power anymore because Yecheng is getting rid of the harem. Everything she had was taken away by Eden. He’s the one who poisoned her father and made Yecheng fall in love with him. Since she has nothing to lose anymore she’ll take him and his baby away.
Xinjie pulled out the blade she had hidden and aimed it at Eden’s heart. Before she could she could stab him felt a sword pass through her chest. She blinked in shock and the blade fell. She turned around wanting to look into Yecheng’s eyes but she was stunned to see that her father was the one who had stabbed her. The guards who were holding him had let him go for some reason. When she looked at Yecheng she knew why. She fell to her knees as more blood poured out of her chest and heard Eden say:
"You’re the stupidest person I’ve ever met."
Kuang looked at the trembling hand he used to kill his daughter too and started to hyperventilate. He looked at Eden and yelled:
"Why? Why would you make me kill both my children?"
Eden looked at him confused.
"Because you wanted to take both my children away from me."
Kuang tried to advance to kill him but he was frozen in place. Eden sneered, he walked to Shenyan and pulled his hand. They left and let Yecheng deal with the mess.
Eden had more than enough evidence to prove all the Miaos wrongdoing while no one could prove that he made Kuang kill his children. Yecheng dispersed the harem and made Eden his empress. They had a daughter and Shenyan was over the moon. The two created a strong bond and they were close which made Eden happy. When Shenyan turned twenty he took over the throne and became Emperor.
Eden and Yecheng moved into their palace when Shenyan fell in love with a sweet ger and married him. He spent the rest of his life with him just like Eden did with Yecheng. Their daughter married a young minister and Eden ended up with six grandkids. When their end was near he spent one last night with his family and they both left this universe.
When Eden arrived in Versal he felt more emotional than he usually would. Tears fell on his face as he received all the power from this universe. He closed his eyes and opened them again 500 years later. He put a hand on his chest feeling different. He ignored that feeling and floated toward a green planet and disappeared.
