Eden stilled when he felt someone hugging him from behind. When the person let go he turned around and smiled. His eyes were shining in excitement and he had a beaming smile. He asked:
"What are you doing here?"
Yan answered with a smile:
"I can’t have lunch with you this afternoon so I thought I’d come to see you now."
Eden’s smile faltered as he asked:
"You can’t have lunch?"
"No my brothers want me to join them at an investor meeting."
Eden nodded his head down. Yan lifted his head and said:
"But I’ll see you tonight right? I told my brothers that Yinglun and her entire family is coming. And I really want you to meet them."
"You do?"
Yan nodded and caressed his head affectionately.
"Of course."
Eden smiled shyly.
Yan pulled out something from his back and gave it to Eden. He took it with a smile.
"Thank you but you shouldn’t keep bringing me health elixirs, it’s been more than a week and I haven’t given you anything."
Despite saying that Yan watched as Eden drank it in one go as usual. When he was done he looked at him hurt and asked:
"Is that why you think I like to spend time with you? To get something out of it?"
Eden immediately grabbed his hand and said:
"No of course not, I know you’re not like my family."
Yan still looked at Eden upset and he said tightening the hold he had on his hand:
"You’re the only one in my life who doesn’t care about my money or getting Z Elixir. I trust you more than I trust my own family."
Yan tried to pull his hand away but Eden wouldn’t let go. He asked:
"Are you serious Eden or are you just saying that?"
"I am I swear."
Yan took a step closer and said:
"I don’t trust many people but when I do I never let go."
Eden looked at him hopefully and asked:
"Do you trust me?"
The hope that Eden was one of those people was practically palpable. When Yan was satisfied with his level of desperation he answered:
"I do with my life."
Eden beamed at him and said: freewebnøvel.coɱ
"I trust you with my life too."
He looked down and murmured:
"Just so you know you’re the only one that I trust with my inheritance."
Yan lifted his head.
"I believe you."
Eden smiled and hugged him. Yan hugged him back. He pulled back and said:
"I have to go."
Eden let go of him and nodded. Yan took a step closer and leaned in slowly, when he and Eden’s lips were close he looked into his eyes. All he could see was the anticipation but he moved his head slightly to the right and kissed his cheek. He smiled as Eden hid his disappointment.
He walked out of the laboratory and got into the elevator. When he was down he got into his car for Wang Elements with a pleased smile on his face. Things are going even better than he thought they would. Thanks to Eden falling for him he doesn’t need to use Huang and Yinglun anymore. He was able to earn Eden’s love and trust. That scene in his laboratory was just to see if he had him in the palm of his hand and he does.
Now that it’s confirmed he’s going to destroy Huang and his family until the only person Eden can count on is him. They’ve been talking nonstop for more than a week and he knows him by heart now. All Eden wants is to be an Alchemist and work in his laboratory. That means he’ll need someone to run the company and that person will be him. He knows that he’ll be able to make him sign his inheritance without having to threaten him but just in case he’s been feeding him the poison. Why should Z Elixir be Huang’s when he hasn’t done anything?
Eden looked at his closed laboratory door with a mocking smile. Why is Yan making this so easy? It makes it less fun. He sighed and went back to work. After working all day he left for home. He took a shower and changed for dinner. When he walked out of the elevator his family was already there waiting for him with a smile. Eden smiled, he walked out of the house followed by them. He got into his car and his family was about to follow in but Eden stopped them. He ordered:
"Uncle you have a car use it."
He slammed the door on Huang’s face and the car left.
If Huang and the rest of the family didn’t know how well their plan was going they would probably kill Eden on the spot. Huang got in the car and drove his family to Yan’s house. He was right to put his money on him, he’s seen Eden many times drink the poison. He was surprised to see how sweet Eden was to Yan. It seems like he is desperate to have any kind of friends, but it’s a good thing. Soon he’ll finish the experience his father had started and get the inheritance. When Huang arrived he was surprised to see that Eden was still in his car in front of the house.
Zishu looked at the computer in front of him with a frown.
"What’s wrong?"
He looked at Zhenxuan as he entered their home office.
"This report Yan gave me is a joke. He clearly doesn’t care about the company and you’ve seen how even more arrogant he’s become. We should fire him."
Zhenxuan smiled.
"The only way he would care for Wang Elements was if he was the president. I think we should fire him too but we won’t."
Zishu sighed. He knows that too but it’s still frustrating. The only reason they gave him a title at the company is because of their mother. Yan is nothing more than a copy of their father but even if that’s the case he’s their little brother. The only person they ever felt anything for was their mother. Their father made it clear from the moment they were born that they were only there because he needed an heir. He didn’t have affection or even love for them. He despised how close they were.
He always tried to get in the middle of their relationship but unfortunately for him, it never worked. Their bond is too strong for anyone to break it so he took Yan under him and he followed in their despicable father’s footsteps. They didn’t feel much for him before that and his temper changing into their father’s made it worst.
The only person they each can’t live without is the other. At least it was until they set their eyes on Eden. Thinking about him Zishu’s mood became sour. He asked:
"Have you called Eden?"
Zhenxuan’s smile disappeared.
"I did he only answered I’ll see you soon."
Zishu frowned.
"What does that mean did you ask if he wanted to meet later tonight?"
"I did that’s what he answered."
When they heard someone ring they both got in the elevator. Zhenxuan looked at his brother.
"I’m done being patient with him, tomorrow I’ll get someone to find out everything about him and we’ll make him ours."
Zishu smiled.
"I like that plan."
Zhenxuan smiled. When they walked out of the elevator Zishu warned:
"Be respectful to the guests it means a lot to Yan for some reason."
Zishu smiled when Zhenxuan rolled his eyes
He gets it, Yan doesn’t care about them and is quite vocal about it so why should they keep acting like they do? No matter what they are related and he is their little brother. Plus he knows that his father’s influence is part of the problem. He saw how devastated he was when he found out that he died. They didn’t tell Yan that they killed him, they never told anyone besides Eden. They made it look like an accident and no one ever found out. His father was a fool, that’s why he went after them.
They walked to the entry and saw Yan talking to Yinglun and her parents. They’ve met Yinglun multiple times but never her parents. Yan introduced when they were there:
"Brother this is Huang and Zihan Yinglun’s parents. Uncle aunt this is my brothers Zishu and Zhenxuan."
Zishu smiled and greeted them, Zhenxuan did too but there was no smile on his face. Huang and Zihan felt intimidated by his cold front but Zishu’s welcomeness balanced that.
ZIshu looked at Yinglun and asked:
"How are you?"
Yinglun answered timidly:
"I’m okay."
Yan frowned when he couldn’t see Eden. He looked at Huang and asked: freeweɓnovel.cøm
"Where’s Ed..."
Before he could finish he heard behind:
"I’m here. Sorry I had to make a phone call."
Yan smiled brightly and grabbed his hand, he pulled him to his brothers and introduced:
"Brothers this is Eden, he’s my friend the one I’ve been having lunch with every day."
Eden looked at the twins and smiled.
"Zishu, Zhenxuan."
Zishu and Zhenxuan first looked at their held hands then at the smile on both their faces. They narrowed their fierce eyes at Eden.
